This post started out as a simple post from Loft Outlet, but has taken a turn with me adding numerous outfits from Old Navy & Walmart. I am loving these skirts form the Loft Outlet for spring, but I couldn’t resist sharing other outfits you may have missed on my stories. I am in love with this outfit, totally in love! I love this flowy skirt, it is so feminine and has a romantic feel. I styled this with a denim jacket, to me, there is nothing that brings a casual outfit together better than a great jean jacket. To be honest, I had a denim jacket hanging in my closet for years before I ever decided to wear it. I hated it! Why? I bought one with NO stretch! Oh my goodness, the difference in a jacket with stretch and one that is stiff as a board! See my jacket here. This skirt is the perfect length for me, it hits right above my knee, so on most -it will be knee-length. I love the way it wraps around with a ruffle wrap. This has pale yellow in it and would look really cute with a yellow cardigan and a sleeveless white button-down shirt for a smart work look. When I was working outside the house, this would be a typical outfit for me….I miss those days some times…but not much lol! See the skirt here. It’s thinner, but not too thin. I love the sleeves and it is long enough to half-tuck into your jeans or shorts for the warmer months. See the top here, I am wearing a medium for reference. Friday Extras From Old Navy & More I am digging these wide-leg linen pants! These are a pull-on style pant with a relaxed fit through the legs. They are thick enough that you cannot see through them and have pockets in the front, that I am loving! I styled it with a Luxe Slub Tee in Cedarwood. The slub tee is longer and a relaxed fit, I am wearing a medium in both. For a different look, style it with the smocked-waist floral skirt and tie the tee at your waist. Add a denim jacket with white sneakers for a casual outfit.This is a skirt that will be worn throughout the warmer months for sure! See the skirt here. I found these joggers at Old Navy and I have been wearing them on repeat! I am wearing a medium in these for reference. From time to time I will take my jogger outfit up a notch and style it with a cardigan or jacket. I loved the bomber jacket with these, especially with the white Westville Tank from Madewell and sneakers from Target. This cute v-neck sweater was a favorite in the fall and it is back in stock and the colors are gorgeous! This fits very relaxed and I sized down, so make sure you read the sizing info. This sweater has been in the top 25 faves since last September! See the sweater here. This Scoop Off-The-Shoulder Blouse is on sale for only $14 from Walmart online and comes in white and a gorgeous chartreuse color. This fits TTS and is a relaxed fit. It can also be worn on the shoulders if you do not like showing your shoulders. I love a versatile top! See the top here. Since Kilo will be leaving us soon and only visiting here and there, I thought I would give him a shout out on the blog. Many of you remember when he tried to jump on the back of the golf cart and was ran over; we almost lost him that night, but look at him now! If you haven’t, you are not alone because I had not heard of them either. According to Google, the mom jeans are distinguishable by their curve-loving fit, the dad jean is defined by a straighter cut with a more slouchy, slightly oversized fit. Notice the baggy theme trending this year? If you haven’t tried the baggier jean, it’s not as bad as you may think. Although many younger women are wearing their jeans super loose and slouchy, I have noticed more mature women are opting for the wide-leg or boyfriend look. I hopped right in and decided to try my hand at these jeans. I found these cute button-fly dad jeans at Express and bought my regular size. These jeans fit through the hips but not as loose as boyfriend jeans. The leg tends to get wider through the knee and continues to the hem; the leg opening is slightly wider than straight leg jeans. I personally am loving the fit and the look with my cardigan. Not sure if I could pull it off with sneakers, so I opted for a great pair of sandals. See the jeans here. These are normally $80 and on sale for $29 right now. A black mock neck tank can be worn throughout all the seasons and makes a great layering piece, so I decided to style mine a few ways with these dad jeans. This one is by Daily Ritual and fits like a regular t-shirt. This is made with a luxe jersey and drapes very flattering on all body shapes. This fits tts and comes in 12 color options. With this being under $15, it’s a great buy that can be a staple piece in your wardrobe. See the tank here. I chose a Time and Tru Blair crossbody, which I’m loving. I tend to drift towards smaller crossbody bags for running errands and everyday life, but love a great satchel or tote when I need to carry more items. This dome-shaped bag is under $17 and is a great bag when you need your hands free. See the Blair bag here. My rose gold glitter sandals are from Amazon and I love wearing these with denim. These come in different colors and are under $30. I wear these a lot in the summer with cropped jeans when we go out to eat. See the sandal here. I love them because of the versatility and this tan and black scarf is one of my faves. It’s neutral-toned and goes with nearly everything, but I especially liked it with the rust sweater. Rust is trending this year and I’m sure it’s going to still be going strong after the holidays! I added a cute black vest with gold detail and was ready to walk the runway – right out in my yard HA! Honestly, I have a very full neighborhood, mostly retirees, and I always have someone catching me take photos – which is embarrassing! I had to let most of my neighbors know I was a fashion blogger. To which they replied – what is that? These are older folks, and they are not up on things like this, so I had to resort to…I take pictures of myself and put them on my website. One little lady said…But WHY? LOL!! I said, “To keep me busy”. She says, “Lord child, I have plenty for you to do over here”. HAHAHA! I love older people! Not to mention it’s slimming! I styled a chambray shirt with a cheetah print blouse (similar here), or dress up your look with a striped longer cardigan (these are on sale for only $35). The first thing I want to say is to thank you to all that sent messages, comments, texts, and calls asking about my mom. Wow, you girls are certainly the sweetest and so thoughtful! I was blown away, so thank you very much from Mom and me! She is doing a tad bit better and learning how to use her left hand instead of her right – that’s been hard, but she is finding ways to make it work. She gets an MRI next week, so we will know more and she will start physical therapy soon, I hope! There are a lot of items, so let’s get started! This was my outfit for the day, the one thing that you haven’t seen is the emerald top from The Loft. I think I told you girls while it was on sale last weekend I purchased this one and I am so glad I did! See it here. Looks like it is still on sale for only $20!! YAY! That is such a good deal! Outfit Details // Jacket // Blouse // Jeans // Boots // Backpack // Bracelet Combo My favorite comfy top was this Cowl Bell Sleeve Sweater, it is SUPER soft on the inside. I love cozy tops and this one definitely came home with me! I give this one a straight up 5-star! See it here. Plus, the length of it fits perfect right at your hips! This Crown and Ivy quilted jacket has been very popular this year. These come in several colors and patterns and the sleeve cuffs are plaid/gingham check when you roll it up. I love the gold button detail also. If you are looking for a great lightweight dressier jacket this would be a nice classic piece to add to your wardrobe. See it here. As we are making our rounds with Christmas parties, I am looking for a dressier blouse that has a little bling to it. This blouse is very cute, flowy, with a gorgeous rhinestone detail that makes it pop! This comes in white also, see them here. I will be wearing this with black slacks or winter white slacks and some super cute heels! As you all know, I am all about comfort and staying warm in the winter and this hoodie is the ticket! It’s a popcorn-like, soft textured shorter pullover with a hoodie – need I say more!? This would look so cute with winter boots, socks popping up over the boot, a great pair of jeans and a vest or a great puffer jacket. See the pullover here. If you like pastels, this sweater is so pretty in person. This picture does not do it justice. This comes with tangerine stripes also. I love the lavender in this! See it here. This would look really great with a chambray shirt underneath or a button-down shirt that matches these colors, a lighter pair of jeans and booties or flats would look great! This Crown and Ivy blouse caught my eye and I had to have it! I loved velvet growing up and whether it’s trending or not – I still love the feel! This material seems to be making a comeback and this top is super cute and flattering! You can wear this to work, on the weekend as a casual blouse, or pair it with off-white slacks and great heels for a Christmas Get-together. See it here. This is another sweater that I REALLY loved! This is by Crown and Ivy, so it’s made with quality material and it fits great. I am wearing my normal size (medium) in everything except one item below. I added a picture of the black and white striped below also because it’s just too dang cool not to show- so you know I brought it home! See them here. Notice the cable stitching at the top of the sweater. I have to post a Winter sweater because it seems a lot of you love them! I love reindeer…A LOT! This sweater has so many details in it, but the sleeves with the stripes around the cuffs and hemline make this sweater! Plus the sleeves are blouson and make it looks so feminine! See it here. We all seem to love cardigans and this one is a super cozy feather cardigan and it has a hoodie. It’s super cute with jeans and will look great with joggers also. A great piece to add to your wardrobe for those cold days and nights when you’re inside sitting by the fire watching movies. This comes in a few more colors, see it here. **This one did run a little small, so I sized up to a Large. I snapped a few pictures os a couple outfits that really stood out. Doesn’t this one look very chic and well put together? Hope everyone’s week is going well so far, I seem to be less stressed today, thank goodness! I got some things done and I’m feeling like I accomplished a few goals. I can’t believe it’s almost Halloween, this year has flown by! If you have little ones, this is an exciting time for you and them. I know Brooklyn seems to be pumped up, she will be going as Super Girl. She loves her comic girls! Last year she was all about Wonder Woman, check her out below. I am a lover of Pinterest and I drift over on my app daily to find outfit ideas, recipes, decor ideas and now it’s all about Christmas. I did, however, find a cute outfit that I am using for inspiration for today’s blog. Buffalo check is still going strong and is becoming a staple piece for Fall and Winter fashion. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. I copied this outfit with a Buffalo Check button-down from Walmart and a pair of black leggings from The Loft. I styled it with a black vest from NY&Co with gold zipper detail, I bought this last year but found a similar one from J. Crew, see it here. The gold detail really makes the zipper pop on this vest and the one from J. Crew has it! For another look I decided to style a pair of denim jeans (mine are from American Eagle here) and Sam Edelman Michelle booties. I am running errands today, (well…grocery shopping-Uggg…) so I am carrying one of my bigger purses. I’ve shown this LV dupe on the blog before and it has been very popular. I guess I’m not the only one that doesn’t want to spend over a grand on a purse LOL! See the dupe here. I love these Sam Edelman Michelle booties, they are just the right heel height, the shaft is perfect for jeans and skirts. Every girl needs a great pair of black booties and these deliver! They are SUPER hard to find online! I did find them on Amazon and they come in multiple colors here. These Mud Pie Tassel Hoop earrings are back by high demand at The Mint Julep Boutique. These are SUPER popular and they are very hard to find. They are $26 and worth every penny! See them here. You may notice I have a lot of hair in my bun today! Since I cut those 6 inches off earlier this year, I have had to wear extensions when making a thick bun. I shared this trick on Instagram and thought I would share it with you. I section my hair around the top of my head (crown area) clip in the track of extensions to the hair that is still hanging down, then pull all my hair up in a ponytail, then make my bun. It’s getting cooler here, the nights are getting crisp and I am in Fall mode 100%! With Fall, comes booties, scarves, cardigans, and more, so today I am styling one of the biggest trends going on right now. The leopard print chunky cardigans are on every Fashion Blogger’s social media and every local and online boutique. I really liked this sweater more than I thought I would. It is longer, chunky and it makes a real statement. I thought I would style it 2 ways for you girls today, so you can see some of the versatility. Leopard print is really big this season, along with all animal prints, so I thought I would show some ways to wear leopard in the Fall in 2 different posts. Today it’s all about the cardigans, so check back tomorrow to the second part. I looked high and low for a cardigan that had a good price point and one that was well made. I went through many but found this sweater on Amazon for under $35. It also comes in multiple colors if the beige/tan is not your color. See it here. This cutie has pockets but does not button up, it is an open front cardigan. It does seem to run big, so I would size down when purchasing unless you want the big chunky look. You want this type to be a little big, but not huge. I am wearing a Medium for reference, I normally wear a Medium or a Size 8. I styled the first outfit with distressed KanCan jeans and this black camisole. I picked these brown cowboy booties from Belk. I kept my jewelry simple but I did add a great pair of leaf earrings. I wanted a chunky, bigger earring – for some reason I like my earrings bigger. Do you like bigger earrings or do you prefer smaller ones? I am also loving the new Gucci “inspired” belt! I added these chunky heel booties and a pop of color with my handbag and I was set for the day. Isn’t it amazing how a little color can really make an outfit stand out? If you’ve been a lover of anything leopard print, then this is a great addition for you. It would be perfect for hayrides and walking with the kids trick-or-treating in a few weeks. The weekend is here and for a lot of people, it’s a long weekend! With a long weekend comes SALES! I was running errands yesterday and stopped in The Loft Outlet to see what kind of new arrivals they had and thought I would share. The Loft is having a sale of 40% off your order (shop sale here) and the outlet stores are 40 -60% off on most items. First up is a super soft light flannel button-down shirt. This shirt is SUPER soft, it hits right at the hip and you can half tuck this and it covers the rear up great. The material is so soft that it hangs perfect! I loved this top so much I steamed it and wore it with a pair of white shorts for the rest of the day. YES..it wears the good and it will be a favorite of mine this season. See it here. The jeans I am wearing are Rag and Bone Bedford Skinny jeans, they are normally around $200. I found these on www.therealreal.com for $35. They are probably the best fitting jeans I have ever worn, so if you are looking for a quality jean but want to spend a minimal amount of money – check out The RealReal! This striped cozy cardigan just called my name, for good reason! It is SUPER cozy and looks so cute with this burgundy flouncy mixed-media top. I especially liked light plaid pull-on skirt! I tried on a medium but definitely needed a small. so size down in this skirt. Such a cute look with booties or knee-high boots! Who doesn’t LOVE pockets in such a cute skirt! This floral tie hem wrap blouse is a perfect top to wear with jeans or work pants. You can tie it tighter or wear it looser, it fits beautifully with these jeans. I don’t really like huggy shirts that much and this one was pretty and blouson. The neckline was just a little low for me, but a tank or cami underneath would work well. This one came home with me also…it really is a cute top, the picture doesn’t do it justice! Another top I really liked to wear underneath cardigans or blazers was this leafy mixed media tee. I loved the color and the sleeve detail! Add this cute cardigan was a must-have also! This comes in several colors if you are looking to add more colors to your wardrobe! Another top to wear underneath cardis and jackets is this cute mustard tulip swing tank. I loved the mustard color this season!! There are so many items that are on sale at the Loft Outlet and Loft store, you really should check it out! All the jeans are super cheap, see them here, and they have all the new styles we are looking for! I added some extra items in the STP below, these are a few items I brought home with me. Has anyone used that app and if so, did it work out well for you? The Outfit I have always been a big fan of pencil skirts and if they are stretchy or Ponte material, then they get 5 stars from me. This Vince Camuto Ponte Skirt is on sale right now and fits perfect! I am wearing my normal size (Medium), I love this because it’s no zippers, just pull-on and we all know I LOVE anything pull-on! Plus, I have a really cute outfit coming in Monday’s post using this skirt as 1 look. Make sure you check your emails Monday, I’m styling the CUTEST sweater 3 ways and it is SOOOO on TREND! 3 Outfits, From Casual to Workwear – they are SUPER cute! I had this outfit picked out for church Sunday, so you girls are getting a sneak peek first. I recently ordered this striped cardigan from The Pink Lily Boutique and I loved it so much, I gave the long duster to Raegan that I styled in this post. For reference, I am wearing a Medium and have plenty of room. This would also look great with a denim shirt underneath with a cute colored pair of jeans. and leopard flats! Oh…and church outfits, let’s not forget that! I love dressing up for church, I tell Barry I’m picking my outfit out to go visit the Lord’s house and I want to go looking nice. He just rolls his eyes LOL! The necklace I am wearing is from Amazon, I was trying new pieces out since Brooklyn keeps hiding my jewelry and although this is not real – it is a really cute piece to wear throughout the week. It seems here lately we have a full day every day, and I don’t know how to slow things down LOL! Let’s not talk about the laundry I found this morning, how does a laundry basket fill up overnight? I’ve been telling Barry what you girls have said about his photography skills and I think it’s going to his head HAHA!! What have you girls been up to? I know a few of you were busy this past weekend and I loved hearing about all of your outings! I read what you girls are doing and I think I have a boring life HA!! While we were at Myrtle Beach, on our little” shopping pick me up” we stopped in a few of my favorite stores – some I haven’t visited in a long time. We stopped in at New York & Company and ran across this cute striped 2 piece “suit” set and fell in love with it instantly. When we are on vacation, especially when it’s warm weather, I like to dress up every now and then for dinner. I loved the longer length shorts and thought I would style it on the blog. This is an open front blazer with 3/4 length sleeves, it is lined, but it is not a heavy lining. You can see the blazer HERE. It’s very wearable during the warmer months and a great piece with the short or by itself. I think it would look great with jeans, white pants or even a colored jean, like a coral or red. The Madie short has a 6-inch inseam and has a slightly higher waist. The tie belt can be worn in the middle or on the side, whichever you prefer. I’m a little OCD and have to nearly always have these type belts (with a jacket) in the middle of my waist. I bet some of you are like that too! LOL! These shorts are a great dressier type short for dinners, date nights, or a “just because I want to dress up” day. I have those days every now and then…please tell me some of y’all do too!! The shorts are $59.95, but as you know they are having a huge sale. in fact, I can’t think of too many times NY&Co isn’t having some type of sale. See the shorts HERE. You can wear a bright top underneath the blazer or with the shorts alone. I chose a navy chiffon camisole to wear with this 2 piece set. I like the idea that you can wear a camisole or a short sleeve blouse underneath. You can get the camisole from Nordstrom and it’s only $39.00. If you remember black in the Winter, I styled these booties right much with a few different outfits. I told you then that you could wear these in the Spring and Summer, so keeping true to my word…here is a way to wear them. I mostly wear these booties with dresses or skirts, but since the set had a little grey in it, I thought these would look cute! I got these from Amazon and they run around $26, these are by City Classified Chunky Heel Ankle Boot, another brand I like is by MVE and they are in the STP below. Is it me or is this year flying by? It seems like I blink my eyes and the entire week is gone. So here we are again heading into the weekend. Brooklyn left today and was soooo happy to see her mommy, I was kind of sad to see her go – who am I going to watch Wonder Woman with? LOL! I’m glad her Mom was able to go to Ireland and experience a wonderful trip. Who wouldn’t LOVE to go to Ireland? While I was at the Boutique today I ran across a cute little outfit that I wanted to share. I love the idea of tying up your kimono and making a cute top with a tank and some cropped jeans. That’s exactly what I did today. This is one of the best ways to cover your backside and camouflage your tummy. It’s a pretty flowy top that you can wear with cropped jeans, skinny jeans, or shorts – dress it up or go casual, this works both ways! This is a Floral Print Sheer Kimono, the sleeves are 3/4 length and comes in 5 different colors. To see more options click HERE. I paired this with a blush PJ Harlow Cami, this is a loose flowy camisole that is long enough to be tucked in or left out. I did look around on the internet and I found some that are very similar to these, that are in the Shop The Post below. What I love about these jeans is the detail with the zippers at the hem. I think this type of jeans are super cute and look very trendy. The KanCan jeans below are very similar to these jeans. I personally like KanCan jeans better because they fit you better than these. I guess it does help to have someone try on clothes and tell you their thoughts. So, my thoughts are if I had the option to buy the Black Label or KanCan, I’m getting the KanCan every time! What are your thoughts ladies? Do you like the zippers or would you rather have a cuff? Have any of you tried KanCan jeans before? I happened to walk through the shoe department and ran across a pair of Vionics that I had not seen before. I literally saw these and instantly fell in love with them. I love the wedge heel, which these are not too tall – about 2 inches maybe 2 1/4 inches. If you have ever had a pair of Vionics then you know these are specially made for comfort. These shoes will literally give you all day comfort! These are the NEW Ariel Sandals and these come in Black, Beige or Red. If you are looking a great sandal that is geared to arch support and comfort – please check out the Vionics website. These are the go-to shoe for so many women!
