Try-On Friday: Target, Old Navy, Loft & More

Today I am sharing a few outfits that can be worn for work or dressed down, for a casual night out or weekend outfit. This post started out as a simple post from Loft Outlet, but has taken a turn with me adding numerous outfits from Old Navy & Walmart. I am loving these skirts form the Loft Outlet for spring, but I couldn’t resist sharing other outfits you may have missed on my stories. I am in love with this outfit, totally in love! I love this flowy skirt, it is so feminine and has a romantic feel. I styled this with a denim jacket, to me, there is nothing that brings a casual outfit together better than a great jean jacket. To be honest, I had a denim jacket hanging in my closet for years before I ever decided to wear it. I hated it! Why? I bought one with NO stretch! Oh my goodness, the difference in a jacket with stretch and one that is stiff as a board! See my jacket here.

This skirt is the perfect length for me, it hits right above my knee, so on most -it will be knee-length. I love the way it wraps around with a ruffle wrap. This has pale yellow in it and would look really cute with a yellow cardigan and a sleeveless white button-down shirt for a smart work look. When I was working outside the house, this would be a typical outfit for me….I miss those days some times…but not much lol! See the skirt here. The boatneck 3/4 length sleeve top is a really great top and the pictures will not do it justice. I can only tell you that I loved it as soon as I tried it on. It’s thinner, but not too thin. I love the sleeves and it is long enough to half-tuck into your jeans or shorts for the warmer months. See the top here, I am wearing a medium for reference. Friday Extras From Old Navy & More

I am digging these wide-leg linen pants! These are a pull-on style pant with a relaxed fit through the legs. They are thick enough that you cannot see through them and have pockets in the front, that I am loving! I styled it with a Luxe Slub Tee in Cedarwood. The slub tee is longer and a relaxed fit, I am wearing a medium in both.

For a different look, style it with the smocked-waist floral skirt and tie the tee at your waist. Add a denim jacket with white sneakers for a casual outfit.This is a skirt that will be worn throughout the warmer months for sure! See the skirt here.

I found these joggers at Old Navy and I have been wearing them on repeat! I am wearing a medium in these for reference. From time to time I will take my jogger outfit up a notch and style it with a cardigan or jacket. I loved the bomber jacket with these, especially with the white Westville Tank from Madewell and sneakers from Target.

This cute v-neck sweater was a favorite in the fall and it is back in stock and the colors are gorgeous! This fits very relaxed and I sized down, so make sure you read the sizing info. This sweater has been in the top 25 faves since last September! See the sweater here.

This Scoop Off-The-Shoulder Blouse is on sale for only $14 from Walmart online and comes in white and a gorgeous chartreuse color. This fits TTS and is a relaxed fit. It can also be worn on the shoulders if you do not like showing your shoulders. I love a versatile top! See the top here.

Since Kilo will be leaving us soon and only visiting here and there, I thought I would give him a shout out on the blog. Many of you remember when he tried to jump on the back of the golf cart and was ran over; we almost lost him that night, but look at him now! You would never know he had such a bad accident and is kicking along so well. He is a HUGE baby! Thank you all for all your prayers for him and asking about him. It meant a lot!     Beautiful Beverly!!!! You look fabulous in all the skirts. I really like a lot of your choices in todays post. The linen pants look cool and comfy. The denim jacket is a must and yes definitely get one with some stretch in it. I bought mine years ago at Walmart and it has held up great!!! I wore mine yesterday at work and it is so versatile. I bought the Time and True denim jacket in the Dusty Rose color from my local Walmart the other day. I have not wore it yet but I can tell I have numerous of pieces I can put together with it. So glad to see Kilo looking great. Have a beautiful NC weekend my friend. xoxo

      I’m a big fan of skirts so I really enjoyed all the skirts today especially the cute shorter blue skirt. Hopeful we in the North will be seeing skirt and sandal weather sooner than later. The weather has been 70 one day and 38 the next day. Enjoy the weekend!

    Love the stripe pants and that color! I’m not a skirt person but these are really cute. Such a great sweater and if I wasn’t overrun with sweaters for someone who lives on the Gulf Coast, I’d buy that.
    My husband is a griller and smoker. He watches all those BBQ shows on PBS and Create networks. I just can’t enjoy watching them. I don’t eat much meat. So, i run when he says come watch this. LOL

    Hi Beverly. Love, love, love those wide legs pants. I put them in my Old Navy cart. They are perfect for work and weekend. I hope you have a great weekend, I just got my second dose of the COVID vaccine so I hope it doesn’t take me out this weekend 🥺. It’s supposed to be beautiful up here in NY.

    Hi Beverly! I am just super excited on all the stylish clothes/outfits you style and deals you post and the stores you find them at like Walmart, Target etc.. I went to Walmart today and bought me those $12 open toed wedge booties along with a denim dress that Walmart has and it’s super cute which I’m not a dress person but I actually love it. I found a few other items as well. It sure was a beautiful day here in the Houston Tx area. Hope you had a wonderful Friday. Take care

      I bought that denim dress too and I will be styling it soon!! It is so cute!! I love a great deal and my motto has always been “have more spend less” lol!! When I was a single mom and out at a day job, I kept my wardrobe trendy, but affordable. And most women I knew did the same thing. When I started blogging, no one was really affordable so I decided to focus on the average woman, just like me. I’m so glad I did!! Happy Sunday ❤️❤️
