I have been helping my Mom can or preserve food since I was a little girl, and I bet a lot of you grew up helping your Moms as well. Recently I have found a new love for this and have jumped back in knee-deep! Today I am sharing a super easy Grape Jelly Recipe my family has been using for years. Since I decided to jump right in, I had all my new items delivered right to my front door with my Walmart+ membership ($35 order min. Restrictions apply), which is saving me time and money! Honestly, this membership has spoiled me rotten…and I’m not complaining, lol! This is a very simple recipe for canning jelly that my mom taught me using bottled grape juice. This is not only a family favorite, but it makes great gifts (hint: Mother’s Day) to friends and family that are inexpensive but made with love! *This is hot water bath canning simplified. This recipe only has 3 ingredients, takes about 30 minutes, and yields 4 half-pints. For years I have used a Water Bath Canner that was my mother’s, but this year I decided to invest in my own. This Granite Ware Water Bath Canner is a popular pick at Walmart, so I decided on this one. I also decided to get this pressure canner while I was stocking up! I also use these jars to store salads for lunch or yogurt and granola for an afternoon snack. These lids by Ball are lifesavers! *This is hot water bath canning simplified. This recipe only has 3 ingredients, takes about 30 minutes, and yields 4 half-pints. See half-pint jars here and pint jars here. Easy Grape Jelly With Grape Juice INGREDIENTS DIRECTIONS Sterilizing Jars & Lids Before Canning Wash jars and lids in soapy water and rinse well. Put jars on a rack, covered with water in a water bath like this; boil for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer. I put my lids and rims in another saucepan of simmering water until ready to use (not boiling). **Many people do this differently, but this is how we do it. Happy Friday everyone! Today on the blog we are talking about how I am making my life less stressful for the holidays, and how I pulled together a last minute girl’s brunch with ease. This is a busy time of the year and if you are like me, you want things to b e less stressful, all while pulling off the perfect get-together with family and friends. Walmart is my go-to for pre-made and pre-packaged foods that gives me extra time with my family and I can find everything I need from prep to presentation. I planned a last minute brunch with a few of my girlfriends and it was a huge hit! I made an easy and mouth-watering quiche that I am sharing below, but before we get to that…let’s talk about the good stuff. The finger foods and the home items I picked up! I am all about cute presentation and Walmart had everything I needed. I have been asking for this Pioneer Woman Cake Stand for the past three years, and Barry has yet to buy it, so I bought it myself and it is a must-have! it’s perfect for cakes, pies, cupcakes, or you can use it like I did and put those lovely croissants in. (I’m a bread and sweets girl…can you tell?) When I am planning my family or friend get-togethers I want it be fun, festive, and have food that is not only appealing, but is delicious. Food brings people together and sitting around the table enjoying a few appetizers, talking or reminiscing with our family is my kind of fun. These get-togethers are the types of memories and traditions I want to make for my kids and grandkids. And if I am being honest, every time the kids (or young people) in our family come over for the holidays, they always go for the food first thing. I know you moms and grandmas can totally relate! I love this tiered serving tray whenever I am hosting a get-together, it not only offers more space for food, it is appealing to the eye. I like to use tall items like the Cake Stand, medium to large serving dishes or bowls, tiered serving trays that keeps the eye moving and gives the appearance of making the table look full and vibrant. I topped my table off with the gorgeous garland with berries for added color and a “home for the holiday” vibe. Doesn’t it scream, come over and have a seat? I loved decorating my centerpiece and I think it really stood out with frosted greenery garland. You could add some candles and twinkle lights for a more eye-catching look. Someone once told me presentation is everything! What do you think? Presentation or the food? I’m stuck right in the middle between those two, although I do lean towards the food, lol! With the holidays approaching make your big and small get-togethers easy, like I did, with pre-made and pre-packaged foods from Walmart. From fruits to cheese trays and add some pre-made desserts for all your guests and keep them smiling. The holidays are stressful enough, so do like I do and let Walmart take some of the stress away! I shared this recipe on my IG in stories this week and it was a big hit. This is a recipe I use weekly and I mean weekly! I use this with any meats and it always turns out great. You can leave out the Italian Salad Dressing Mix and add any size jar of gravy and a can of Cream of Chicken Soup. I listed below the picture different options I use. It’s good…like as good as grandmas! Especially with hamburger steak! What We Are Reading… Barry has started grabbing up my Fire tablet and starting to pick out his faves also. We just downloaded The Return by Nicholas Sparks and so far Barry says it’s an A+! He can read a book within a day or two, whereas I take at least a week. I have just downloaded We Are The Lucky Ones, it is a true story about a couple during WWII. It is a gripping and true story, and one of those true stories where the odds are stacked against you…you will have to read the book to hear the ending, lol! Although I bought my Fire Tablet for me to start back reading, I have found that Brooklyn has already figured out how to use this for YouTube! Kids are so smart these days! Easy Crock Pot Tortellini Soup

I haven’t shared a recipe or lifestyle post in a long time, so I am overdue! Honestly, I have not made a recipe my family loved enough to share until now. If you know me, you know that I am all about quick and easy. If it has more than 6-8 ingredients, you have lost me, and I move on to another recipe. I started making this a few years ago, and my family has not stopped asking for it, so buckle up…this one is simple, and easy, and your family is going to think you spent all day preparing their meal. When your kids rush to the table to eat or get upset because you are cooking this and they’ve made plans, or everyone starts fixing their lunch for the next day before you have had a chance to eat – you know it’s GOOD! If you like spinach, feel free to add it in and experiment. I add a 10-oz. bag (3-4 cups) if the kids are not going to be at home. They are not big fans of spinach, but I love it in the soup. I add the spinach when I add the tortellini in and cook it for about an hour in the crockpot open high. The sauce in this soup is close to a vodka sauce and tastes oh-so-good! If you like tortellini, I promise you will want to Pin this one and keep returning to it. I hope you enjoy it! Ingredients 1-lb sausage (you can use your favorite, we used great Value Mild Sausage) 1 (32-oz) container of chicken broth 1 (28-oz) can of petite diced tomatoes 2 (10.75-oz) cans of tomato soup 2 (8-oz) containers of chive and onion cream cheese spread, softened 1 (18-oz) packaged refrigerated cheese tortellini, uncooked Instructions In a skillet, cook the sausage until browned and no longer pink. Transfer cooked sausage to slow cooker. Add chicken broth, tomatoes, and tomato soup to slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 6-8 hours OR on HIGH for 3 hours Stir in cream cheese and cheese tortellini. Cover and cook on HIGH for 30-45 minutes, or until tortellini is cooked. **I served it with a salad and Texas Toast. Thanks for stopping by the blog girls! Today I am talking about Christmas beverages, or maybe I should say, winter beverages, and sharing our family traditions with you. It’s getting closer to the “big” day, and I know you don’t want to miss out on any memory making ideas. I am also sharing a blouse that I recently purchased, and I totally love, and it’s a great price! This Smocked Cuff Portofino Shirt is on sale for $20 right now, and I did not want you girls to miss out on this sale. These come in 9 different colors (some colors are limited in sizes) and fit TTS. These have a lightweight drape and smocked cuffs make this shirt a fresh, romantic addition to your daily wardrobe rotation. Whether you work from home or are back at your job, these are a great buy, plus they look fabulous with jeans. The green, black, and wine look stunning with white jeans also. Add a blazer or a long duster for a trendy look. If you like a unique crossbody, these plaid dome crossbody bags are super cute. I’m overloaded on sweaters (HAHA!), so I need a few blouses to wear with jeans or ankle pants for date night and other events. We are starting to go back to church, so these are much needed. This is a 17-inch chain (see it in the pic above) and looks perfect with a sweater or a button blouse. I added an extender to this to wear with my turtleneck that also happens to be from Target. Crockpot Hot Cocoa That Will Be A Family Favorite Christmas is approaching and if you girls are like me, you are spending more time with family and probably those precious grandkids. Making hot cocoa is a family tradition here, and we found this recipe for the crockpot and love it. We love to make this on cold days (especially when it snows) and we make Christmas Cookies as a family, and everyone gets to decorate theirs with icing and toppings. This has become a fun family tradition that brings plenty of laughter and love. **Ingredients are listed in the photo and the directions are below. Instructions: Stir together the whipping cream, milk, vanilla, and chocolate chips in a 5-quart crockpot (if doubling, use a 6-7 quart slow cooker/crockpot). Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally with a whisk, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted. Once it is heated through and chocolate is melted, switch the slow cooker to the warm setting. Stir again before serving. (If you have trouble getting the chocolate to melt, turn to high temporarily). Garnish individual cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream or marshmallows. Christmas Morning Punch Chase and Raegan love this punch, but we don’t call it punch. We call it Santa Is Coming Drinks, lol! We normally make this on Christmas Eve (or for parties and get-togethers). I would freeze this for about an hour and put it in the blender for a “slushy like” drink. They loved it when they were little and they still love it now. It’s an easy punch drink that everyone will love, it’s definitely something to Pin for later! Easy Keto 3 Ingredient Salsa Chicken

Happy 4th of July! If you are like me, you may have gained a few pounds during the shutdown. More commonly known as the “quarantine 10”. We are getting back to a carb cycling lifestyle and on a couple of those days, we strive for low carb. Today I am sharing one of our favorite low-carb recipes that only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish! Easy Keto Salsa Chicken is one of my families favorite meals, it’s tender, cheesy, and most importantly…it’s quick! This recipe will be at lightning speed…so hold on! I normally use 4-6 thin chicken breast or tenderloins. Cover with salsa – the recipe calls for 1 cup, but I may use more depending on how I’m feeling. Cover with cheese! You can use sliced cheese or 1 1/2 cups of your favorite shredded cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, you can cook a tad bit longer if you want your cheese darkened a little. Enjoy! Add a few veggies and you have a quick and easy meal! Ingredients 12 oz chicken tenders or chicken breasts 1 cup salsa 2 slices cheese or shredded cheese Instructions Preheat oven to 375 ℉. Place chicken in an ovenproof pan then pour salsa over. Bake for 20 minutes or until chicken temp reaches 165 ℉. Place cheese slices over salsa chicken then return pan to oven to melt cheese. Nutrition Calories: 344kcal | Carbohydrates: 9g | Protein: 45g | Fat: 13g | Saturated Fat: 6g | Cholesterol: 138mg | Sodium: 1287mg | Potassium: 1027mg | Fiber: 2g | Sugar: 5g | Vitamin A: 955IU | Vitamin C: 4.5mg | Calcium: 249mg | Iron: 1.3mg Have a blessed day! Easy Baked Penne Meal in 30 Minutes!

Happy Saturday friends! Today I am sharing a super easy Baked Penne dish that is a favorite of my family’s. If you’ve been following for long, then you already know that I like to make dinners that are super easy and meals my family will actually eat. I have a picky crowd and the older Brooklyn gets, the pickier she is getting! This is an easy dish that you can make on busy nights or those nights you are tired after working all day, but you still want to give your family a homemade meal. With the scare of the coronavirus, we are eating at home more, so I thought this would be a great time to share one of our faves! You only need 6 ingredients and if you want to skip the alfredo sauce – I share below an alternative that is easy and tasty too! Brown hamburger with onions and add pasta. Cook penne, drain and add alfredo sauce. Pour hamburger mixture on top. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. If you are not a fan of alfredo sauce, you can mix the cooked penne with the hamburger and sauce mixture in a big bowl. Pour into a 9×13 dish and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted. My family loves this dish both ways! But, Brooklyn likes it with only alfredo sauce. Change it up and add chicken for another meal idea! Add a side of green beans or corn on the cob and you have an easy meal in 30 minutes! Ingredients 1 lb. ground beef 1 (32 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce) 1 (16 oz.) jar of alfredo sauce 1 (16 oz.) box of penne pasta 1/2 yellow onion diced 2 cups shredded mozzarella shredded cheese Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees Prepare pasta according to directions on box Brown ground beef with onions and drain Put beef back in pot and add sauce Once pasta has finished boiling, drain and add alfredo sauce, mix well. Easy Peanut Butter Dream Cake

Who doesn’t love a recipe that is lip-smacking good and easy? If you’ve been following along for long, you already know that I like recipes that are quick, easy, and a real crowd-pleaser. My crowd loves anything like a Reese cup and this recipe is right up their alley. I haven’t shared an easy recipe in quite some time, so I thought I would break out my faves and share one that will make you the Champ of All Get-Togethers! Girls – this one is really good, I can’t say it enough! This no-bake recipe has all the bells and whistles for us. This was a real winner with layers of chocolate, peanut butter, cream cheese, and Cool Whip! The bottom layer is made from combining peanut butter with crushed cornflakes, which gives it a satisfying crunch. It’s so good! Seriously…you gotta try this one! After a layer of sweetened cream cheese, then get ready to add the chocolate! I like dark chocolate pudding, but milk chocolate would work just as well. Heck, I’m going to keep it real…I like anything chocolate, whether it is dark, white, or milk. It doesn’t matter- it’s all good in my book! Cover it with whipped topping and garnish it with some mini chocolate chips! It’s going to be a favorite—trust me! Yum!! A helpful hint: I would make the chocolate pudding ahead to give it time to set, even a day ahead of time if needed. The cornflake mixture starts to lose its crunch after about 24 hours, so keep that in mind when you’re timing everything. **Also, give each layer about 30 minutes to freeze so you can spread the next layer easily. Ingredients 3 3.5 oz pkgs instant chocolate pudding dark or milk chocolate 4 c milk 5 1/2 c cornflakes slightly crushed 1 1/2 c peanut butter 2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese softened 3/4 c powdered sugar 3 c cool whip mini chocolate chips optional, for serving Instructions Combine the milk and pudding mix with an electric mixer. Once smooth, put in the refrigerator to set for at least 1 hr or overnight. For the bottom layer, mix the cornflakes and peanut butter until combined (the best way to do this is with your hands; it’s messy but effective). Spread the cornflake/PB mixture into the bottom of a 13×9 baking dish until evenly coated. Place into the freezer for 30 minutes to allow it to harden. While the PB mixture is setting, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 cup cool whip. Mix on medium speed until smooth. Remove the pan from the freezer and spread the cream cheese mixture over the bottom layer. Return to the freezer for 30 more minutes to set. After the cream cheese layer has firmed a little, spread on the chocolate pudding. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Just before serving, spread on the additional 2 cups cool whip and top with mini chocolate chips. Favorite Baking Items JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Easy Pasta Dish For The Lazy Girl

Every time we head to the grocery store, I am always making sure I have the ingredients for this “house” special. If I ask any member of my family what they want to eat, one of them will always say they want the Baked Spaghetti. It’s simple, quick and a perfect meal for busy moms and wives. Since this was a family favorite of mine, I was sure that this would be a favorite for someone that loves pasta or Italian cuisine. I typically follow the instructions below, but occasionally I add a twist to it and add petite diced tomatoes, or pepperonis to add a little Mmmm, Mmmm to my meal. Cook your spaghetti according to the directions on the box. While your noodles are boiling you can brown your hamburger. Once I have drained the hamburger and the noodles, I combine everything together. Mix it all up and use the remaining cheese to cover the top of the dish. If you like cheese, then cheese it up! It’s soooo good! This is a great dish to take to work or a church event. Once it bakes and sits, it gets thicker and can actually be cut into squares. If you don’t wait and you want to dive right in (like we do lol), use a ladle or bigger spoon to serve with. If your kids like spaghetti, like my children do, this will be on your rotation list! Ingredients 1 1/2 lbs. of hamburger 8 oz spaghetti 8 oz mild shredded cheese 8 oz shredded mozzarella 1 cup milk 32 oz spaghetti sauce 4 oz mushrooms optional Instructions Cook spaghetti according to directions on the box. Brown hamburger meat and drain. Mix meat into spaghetti sauce, combine with spaghetti noodles. Add milk, cheese (leave out about 1 Cup of Cheese for topping), and mushrooms. Mix well and put in a 9X13 inch pan or casserole dish. Sprinkle top with the remaining cheese. Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top Outfits of Fall & Winter 2019

Oh my gosh, can you believe 2019 is like…over!? Years seem to fly by these days, but I am glad that a new start is coming. I wrote about some of my resolutions yesterday, read it here, and I can’t wait to get on them! I think a new year brings a “cleaning” internally and externally – we all are ready to wipe that slate clean and start fresh. Too bad we couldn’t wipe debt out like that, huh? LOL! Let’s get right into all these popular outfits and posts from Fall and Winter! This was the MOST popular outfit in 2019. The leather jacket and open toe booties totally made this outfit and all of you girls loved it! Outfit Details// Jacket // Booties // Dress (similar). The jacket is limited in black, but they have some cute colors that I loved! I just ordered the Wild Mammo. The J. Adam booties are some of my favorites to wear with dresses and jeans. These come in 4 different colors, the Taupe Pu is a great neutral color to wear with almost anything! The striped cardigan and not only a huge hit this Fall and WInter, but these distressed jeans from American Eagle were super popular. They have great stretch and look good with a cardigan or a sweatshirt and sneakers _ whatever your style these are edgy but modest – so these are great for any age. Outfit Details// Cardigan (similar) // Jeans // Camisole // Booties. The cute camisole comes in several colors, made of chiffon and under $25! Another favorite was this olive vest paired with the striped shirt. This vest is so lightweight you are able to wear another coat over to layer up to keep warm in the upcoming colder months. Outfit Details// Vest // Striped Shirt // Jeans // Boots The most popular puffer jacket was this Marc New York jacket with a detachable hood. This is a slimming jacket and has made the Top 10 multiple times. This has been my go-to jacket on cold days. It’s Thinsulated, super soft and did I mention it’s slimming?? The most popular jeans – hands down were the Madewell 10-inch High Rise Jean. This jean earned it’s #1 spot fair and square! I love in these and as you all probably know by now – I have been transferred over to the Madewell brand! See them here. The most popular dress was this cute Lark & Ro Mock Neck Sweater dress with gorgeous sleeve detail! This comes in several colors and it’s so comfortable to wear. Pair it with over the knee boots or booties for a cute look for work or the weekend! The over the knee boots were a big trend this year and these boots were super hot on the blog! These are sold out, but I found some almost identical here! The blouse is sold out, but here is a similar one that would look gorgeous with anything! This ruana was popular on Pinterest with over 80K saves! I was so surprised to see these are restocked and under $25! These are great all year long (except for the VERY hot days of summer – unless you work in a cold office!) See the ruana here. Outfit Details// Tank // Jeans // Leopard Belt // Boots This stretch corduroy jacket had over 50K hits on Pinterest for the Fall of 2019, so it’s right up there with the most popular. These are still in stock and it also comes in a gorgeous brown – I was drawn to the mustard (Gold online), perfect to wear with jeans, skirts, and dresses! See it here. The buffalo plaid shirt was another popular top, these are limited but they are under $10 on sale now! Outfit Details// Vest // Shirt // Jeans // Boots // Inspired LV Bag This Mixed Media blouse was the second most popular this Fall and Winter! Why wouldn’t it be…it’s gorgeous and wears wonderful! There were a lot of other items such as boots and jeans that were super popular but didn’t quite make that top mark like these others did.
