Easy Pasta Dish For The Lazy Girl

Every time we head to the grocery store, I am always making sure I have the ingredients for this “house” special. If I ask any member of my family what they want to eat, one of them will always say they want the Baked Spaghetti. It’s simple, quick and a perfect meal for busy moms and wives.

Since this was a family favorite of mine, I was sure that this would be a favorite for someone that loves pasta or Italian cuisine.

I typically follow the instructions below, but occasionally I add a twist to it and add petite diced tomatoes, or pepperonis to add a little Mmmm, Mmmm to my meal.

Cook your spaghetti according to the directions on the box. While your noodles are boiling you can brown your hamburger. Once I have drained the hamburger and the noodles, I combine everything together.

Mix it all up and use the remaining cheese to cover the top of the dish. If you like cheese, then cheese it up! It’s soooo good!

This is a great dish to take to work or a church event. Once it bakes and sits, it gets thicker and can actually be cut into squares. If you don’t wait and you want to dive right in (like we do lol), use a ladle or bigger spoon to serve with.

If your kids like spaghetti, like my children do, this will be on your rotation list!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. of hamburger
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 8 oz mild shredded cheese
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup milk
  • 32 oz spaghetti sauce
  • 4 oz mushrooms optional

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to directions on the box. Brown hamburger meat and drain. Mix meat into spaghetti sauce, combine with spaghetti noodles. Add milk, cheese (leave out about 1 Cup of Cheese for topping), and mushrooms. Mix well and put in a 9X13 inch pan or casserole dish. Sprinkle top with the remaining cheese. Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Yum!!!! That’s definitely comfort food for me…. Now all you need is your famous chocolate cake to top it off 😋. I need to know how to clean tile too so I’ll look forward to hearing what you will use. Have a great Wednesday. ~Lisa~

It is comfort food!! I have a few places near my door that I can’t get clean. I use a steam mop and it’s usually pretty good, but I’m on the knees today cleaning. Ugggggggg lol I’m too old for this 😂😂

Lol!! I have a few things that the fam totally loves like chili, grilled BBQ chicken, chicken pot pie, Salsa chicken, meatloaf-things like that. Oh, and they love chicken wraps and tacos, especially Brooklyn. This one is my fave by far!!

Good morning! I used to make a similar dish to this and it was well liked at our house as well. Since I don’t eat gluten, beef or dairy I will pass this recipe on to my girls 🙂 I used to do housecleaning for a living and the thing that I found that works the best for lightening grout stains is plain white vinegar. I would usually use an old toothbrush or something similar to scrub it with. It will lighten as it dries. Troy finally went to our doctor yesterday and found out that he has Influenza type B so he is home today. I will try to get things accomplished around here today but, we both know how that goes when the hubby is home and a sick one at that 😉

Thanks for that tip!! I don’t do gluten either and I’m using gluten free spaghetti-the kids have not figured it out yet lol!! Poor Troy, you guys are constantly getting hit with a bug!! Praying for you both- don’t get sick!! Xoxo

Just got home from taking my dad to two dr appointments and I picked up hamburger so that I can make instant pot spaghetti for supper tonight. I also have a recipe called Million Dollar spaghetti and it too thickens as it sits so you can cut if you want and makes a big batch so we have left overs. Hope you got your floor scrubbed. Did not sound like a fun project. it’s so cold here today…only 8 deg with wind blowing feels good to be back home in the warm house.

Holy smokes!! 8 degrees?? How did you even get outside. Lordy!! I don’t think it’s going to get cold here this winter, it’s been crazy with our weather. It’s horrible!! I’ve got to get me an Insta Pot!! Have a great day!!
