Combat Boots and Distressed Denim

I posted this outfit on Pinterest and other social media sites yesterday and this outfit did so well, I decided to share it with you for today. Combat boots really had a huge moment last year and are still going strong in 2020, so I finally decided to jump on the train and see how I liked wearing these boots. Once I got them, I really liked the fit and the comfort, but I was indecisive about how I was going to style them.

I know I will style these with longer dresses later on and I’m sure Raegan will steal them to wear with her outfits, but what about styling them right now? I decided on the looser jeans cuffed or rolled up with a black leather moto jacket. I wanted a look that a 50-year-old would be able to pull off, and I thought this would probably be the best for me. To my surprise, it was well-liked by a lot of ladies my age! My jacket is sold out (it was on the Top 10 for months!), but I did link a few different choices below if you have been thinking about a leather moto jacket. I LOVE mine!

I am wearing the High Waisted Skinny Jeans from American Eagle today. I have been wearing these right much here lately. I am wearing my normal size (size 8), these are not like regular skinny jeans or jeggings – they fit a tad looser. These are distressed, but the distressed part is covered by material except in a few spots, but you can’t see any of my skin in these. So if you like the look of distressed, but not the holes these are a good choice for you. I see the skinny (straight like these) and flared jeans are going to be popular this Spring and Summer. Skinny jeans are still trending, but you will see more of a variety in stores with different styles. See my jeans here.

A cute black Downtown Cami from Express is a perfect piece to layer underneath a moto jacket. Don’t we all need an extra camisole? I have tons, but I am always grabbing only a few that I really like. Anyone else like that? See the Downtown Cami here.

The earrings I am wearing are from Amazon, you can see them here. I really do wear these a lot – they go with everything and they are cheaper than Nickel and Suede! The Gucci dupe belt I am wearing is also from Amazon and can be seen here.

I am wearing a dog tag necklace that I have had for well over a year, but I found one that is almost identical to it here. I like the dog tag because like this one, mine has the scripture – Phil 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That’s one of my favorite verses! See it here. If you like a sleeker look, this one is silver with a black cross on it and super cute too!

I was near the park when I was taking these pictures, a storm was coming up and I was trying to hurry. Just as I take the picture below, a red truck drives up, stops right near my Jeep (can you say uncomfortable?), and two older gentlemen sit there staring at me. They stopped the truck, so I finished the picture, gave them a wave and hopped in the Jeep. When I got closer to them I could see it was my neighbors checking on me to make sure I was ok…LOL! Talk about having bad eyesight – I need my glasses 24/7 now! Embarrassing! HA! Remember me telling you about my neighborhood and the senior citizens riding by when I’m taking photos – they followed me! LOL! One elderly man is almost 90 and he said, “you can run sweetie, but you can’t hide”. I love the elders in my neighborhood!
