It was a normal January night and I was in Mom mode, but a chance meeting was about to turn my life in a direction I never saw coming. Stars filled the night sky, the weather was perfect, and I was loading one child up in the SUV and on my way to pick up my oldest child from his friend’s house. As I pulled in front of the house, my son came to my window and told me his friend’s father wanted to speak with me. I immediately knew this was not going to be a pleasant meeting…we all know how young boys can push the envelope. So I prepared myself and got into the “I’m so sorry and I will definitely handle this” mindset. I took a few deep breaths as the father walked to my window and as I was rolling it down, my heart took a slight leap as I sat there looking into the eyes of one of the most handsome men I had ever seen. I can still remember to this day how those dark eyes grabbed my attention, the cap he wore, the hoodie he was wearing, and how he fumbled his words as he tried to talk. I could barely make out the point he was trying to make, and how he could barely look me in the eyes as he repeated his words over and over. Immediately I could tell he was attracted to me. He was nervous and instead of letting me have it about how the boys were being boys…he turned into a caring father who suddenly was making sure he was there to help. It was a short conversation, but that night, that chance meeting would set my life on a course that I was not prepared for. I thought about him on and off for the next few months and then one day, I happened to cross paths with this man once again. This time…the whirlwind of a new relationship would spring forth and my life as I knew it would be a vague memory. I pushed back and kept my distance, trying to take my time and after a few weeks of calls, emails, and texts we finally decided to meet in person. Before we met in person, everything seemed to be just like any other new relationship starting out, no red flags, no reservations, and no reason to have any hesitation. Our first meeting was while he was on lunch, it was just a quick meet and greet and we would be on our way. As we made small talk about jobs, kids, and how we grew up – I was totally unprepared for this man to lean over and kiss me. My first thought was…”bold move” because he had not earned that – he just took it. Nevertheless, my stomach was turning flips, my nerves were shaken, and he had just taken the reigns of this new budding relationship right out of my hands and I was hooked. We said our goodbyes and you could tell we were both floating on cloud nine. As we parted ways, I could not stop smiling and from that moment on…I was on a high I had never felt before and I mistook this high for love…but it would prove to be something entirely different. He was not like other men I had met over the years. He was mysterious keeping his intimate life very secretive, only speaking about his work life, how he strived to work hard, and all his accomplishments. Vaguely telling how he had been hurt in the past and how it seemed the women in his life were the problem, how they used him and discarded him like he was nothing. Determined to restore his reputation in the community, he started opening up about the previous few years and how he had made a mistake in marrying his prior wife; he was looking for a “southern faith-filled woman”, but he got swept up in the partying scene with his last relationship. He made it clear he had jumped the gun in that marriage trying to recover from his divorce from the mother of his children. At this stage of his life, he was slowly trying to rebuild his life and reputation and it was evident that was of the utmost importance to him. He was not a pursuer, and he left me guessing about how he really felt about me. Did I read him wrong? Was he shy, or scared? Was he an extremely hardworking and busy man? He would let days go by and then I would get a call and all my worries would calm down. Wait…why was I looking for him to call? Why did I care? Why was I waiting on his call? That was not me, I was an independent woman with a college degree. Why was I putting my life on hold waiting on a man to show his interest in me? My emotions had been tapped into and the cork could not be reinserted – something had changed and I was starting to feel like a prisoner waiting on a meal that felt like it was never coming. I was willing to accept the small effort he made because when he was “present”, he always left me happy and feeling giddy and I couldn’t wait till I would get to see him again. The love bombing had begun and I had sucked it up like a Hoover vacuum. I later came to realize that he was a man that would make moves in our relationship like a man playing a chess game. Showing attention and then withdrawing was a cycle I came to settle for and ultimately crave; he was conditioning me for what was to come. In all my 40 years I had never had a man who was interested in me that would play these types of games. Games meticulously played that was meant to confuse me, withdrawing while giving me the silent treatment or ignoring me and then sweeping in to pour out huge doses of attention and love. What was this doing to me? It was conditioning my brain to crave the highs and lows so I would chase the rush I got from his attention. I needed the rush of dopamine in my brain to give me a high and I found myself searching for the highs, so when there were lows or “problems” in the relationship I would immediately fixate on making things better even if it wasn’t my fault. I became a master at apologizing, comforting him, and making sure he knew my love was eternal. It was like I was chasing the next high, just like a heroin addict. My mind had become a storage unit of discombobulation. This was slowly chiseling away at my self-esteem and I didn’t have a clue. Were these games he was playing? Was he only guarding his heart? Looking back on those early months of the relationship it was all about him and I was putty in his hands. It was exhausting keeping up and I stayed in a state of confusion and uncertainty about where we were and where we were headed. But then things changed. All of a sudden I was the one he had been looking for his entire life, the one who completed him, the one he could not let get away, his soul-mate, and he wasted no time putting a ring on my finger within a few months of meeting him. But I was starting to see cracks and the red flags were starting to become more apparent, and even though these red flags were waving high in the sky, I chose to ignore them and once again I gobbled up his excuses and focused on how I felt around him. I could not sleep, I could not eat, I was falling harder and deeper for him and I could not hide it. But was I really falling for him or had the trap been set and I fell directly into his plan? So what were a few of the red flags I noticed? As I said earlier, he was not like any man I had ever met. Even though he had been divorced for years, he still was connected to his ex-wife and there were no children involved. Even living in their old home while she was overseas. He had an excuse for that of course…he always had an excuse. They were merely friends and he was taking care of the home while she was away. His friends and his vacations took precedence over our time together, going so far as bringing his sister on a planned beach trip for the two of us and our kids. His excuse was he felt sorry for her being alone, but in reality, it was another chess move to keep me in a state of feeling confused about his feelings for me, and I fell right in line to give him all the adoration he desired. At times I started to feel like I was only there as a showpiece, someone that was younger who was stroking his ego and that’s when I started to pull back. As I pulled back, he came in hot and strong determined to marry me. He was insecure and jealous and if I tried to reassure him, he would deny any insecurities and make the issues my problem, then the silent treatment would come. By this time I was so far in, getting out felt impossible. In fact, getting out was never even a thought; only making him happy and doing what I could to wash away his insecurities was all that was on my mind. The idealization or love bombing stage had now moved into the devaluation stage mingling back and forth together and I had no clue that I was even in this type of situation. These were just hiccups in a new romance; things needed to be ironed out and all would be fine…well, that’s what I told myself. I never even thought that I was in the early stages of a storm and I was blindly walking into it with a smile on my face and a pep in my step. Even though there were small nudges deep inside me to slow down, to breathe, to step back and reevaluate this new romance, I moved forward and ignored them. Were these nudges from the Lord? How could that be? He checked so many boxes of what I wanted in a partner, and yes there were “obstacles”, but I was in love in a way I had never felt before. Little did I know the obstacles would grow and the love bombing would become more intense. I was on a fast track to destruction and love, and it was packaged in a pretty little box with a bow on top, and I was more than eager to accept it. Ignorance is bliss and I was in bliss, disregarding my gut instincts, completely turning away from the red flags with my head buried in the sand. But at what cost? The lid on this box had only been cracked and the storm I was walking into was picking up speed! *As always, this was written as my own opinion

Happy Sunday girls! We are actually going to have coffee together and chit chat today! It’s been a long time since I wrote a “Coffee Talk Sunday” post and I think I may start back since the blog has grown so much over the past year. It’s growing at a supersonic pace and I need to make sure everyone knows who I’m talking about in my emails. If you are not subscribed to the blog and getting the emails for new blog posts, you can sign up for those here. Many of you are not on Instagram and do not see the Deals Of The Day or special sales in my stories, so I will be posting them every Saturday in the email in case you missed out. I have been getting a lot of emails from many of you asking who I am talking about from time to time. So today I am sharing my family, our doggies, my Mom, and some of my background. I’m sure once you start reading my story, you will feel like I am the girlfriend who lives next door. Cause I really am, lol! My kids are not much on taking pictures, in fact both of them rarely post on social media. I did scroll through my phone and found some everyday pictures of all of us that I wanted to share with you so you can put a face to a name. Y’all ready?? Our Story When I refer to the “hubs”, I am referring to this guy…my guy Barry, the guy that has kept it rolling since I decided to quit my job and stay home. Without him backing me and carrying the load of the bills while I was building the blog, we would not be sitting here today. He is the second B in the title of the blog…I’m the first, LOL! Barry and I met through our sons, Chase and Austin; Chase is my oldest and Austin was his youngest. They were best friends and I met Barry while I was picking Chase up from Barry’s ex-wife’s house in January of 2010. I was in the middle of a really bad divorce ( I will go into that later) and men were totally off my radar. In fact, I was almost loathing men at this point. I was 40 years old and felt like I could not pick a good man if there was only one left on earth and he was the good one…I would not be able to find him. I was that bad! When I went to pick Chase up, Barry was at his ex-wife’s house because a group of teenage boys were hanging out there and cutting up on their cars and trucks in the neighborhood and he went over to straighten them out. Apparently, Chase was the main one who was cutting up on Austin’s truck, squealing tires and doing what teenage boys do. Chase told Barry his mom was there to pick him up and Barry (being a magistrate and feeling he needed to put Chase in his place 😂) told Chase he was going to talk to me and let me know so I could discipline him. I was sitting in my Explorer chilling, waiting on Chase when I looked to my left and saw this man standing there in a gray sweatshirt, shorts, and a navy ball cap. I rolled my window down to see what he wanted, and this man could not get any of his words out, he literally was stuttering and slightly sweating on his forehead, I could see it glistening from the street lights. He could barely look at me, but boy I was looking at HIM! HAHA! I still to this day do not remember anything he said, but I can tell you exactly what he was wearing that January night. We parted ways and I pulled off and for the first time in my kids life they heard me say, ” Holy Moses, that man is good looking!”. I had never said anything in front of my kids about the looks of any man…never! Raegan was in the back seat and said…”Ewwwww” 😆. I thought about him often, but never saw him again. Until… As I said earlier, I was in a really bad divorce/separation with an overbearing, super jealous, accusatory man who had put his hands on me in an aggressive way, more than one time. It was the worst situation I have ever been in. He would call 100 times a day nonstop, to the point I had to turn my work desk phone off. He spoke about killing himself or killing me and the kids constantly the last six months we were together. He even had come at me with a hammer and as he was coming down with it, he pivoted and tore the table up that was sitting beside me. He was out of the house, but he somehow wiggled his way back in and slept on the couch for a few months and I knew I had messed up letting him back in. I leaned 100% on God to get him out of our house for good, you cannot imagine how much I was in prayer for God to move in this matter. One day at work after I got multiple calls and emails, I decided to go to the magistrate’s office for advise on how to remove him from the house. Lo and behold, the man that was helping me was none other than Barry! After talking with him, I came home and laid it all on the table to my estranged husband. Either commit yourself for the suicidal thoughts or I would have him committed since I was still his wife, even though we had separation papers filed. He went with me to the ER and on the way there, he mumbled…”Me and my big mouth”. Once he was admitted to the hospital I went to check on him until they moved him to a mental hospital an hour away. I was called from one of his doctors and they told me under no circumstance should I let him back in my life or house. He would end up killing me or the kids because that was all he was talking about and obsessed with it. I started preparing my house to boost up security and getting my affairs in order to pay him as much money as it was going to take for him to leave me alone. He did move on and remarry, only to beat her in the head with a hammer then break every bone in her hands and knees. He is now sitting in jail for the attempted murder. I went back to the magistrate’s office to get a restraining order and none other than Barry was working. We talked for awhile, he told me my options, and that was about it, nothing magical happened. Then we messaged each other on Facebook, just checking in to see how things were going and talking about the boys. For two months we chatted here and there through messenger and email, but never on the phone. He finally asked for my number ( I certainly wasn’t going to offer it!). And on May 16th, (my 41st birthday) he called me and asked me if I would see him in person when he went to lunch around 7pm that night. I changed my clothes over 20 times before I finally decided on something I felt good about…who’s been there before? We met in the middle near a college at a convenience store. He was standing outside his truck and I stayed in my car (all that pressure about an outfit and he never saw it, haha). We talked for a few minutes, it was all grins for both, awkwardness, and then he walked up to my driver’s window and leaned in and pecked me on the cheek….oh…my…gosh! I instantly started sweating. I could not believe he did that! After about 5 minutes he leaned back in, so I took the bull by the horn and popped a big ole kiss on him and the fireworks went…BOOM! 🎉 I drove home smiling the entire way, called my mom and told her I had met “The One”!! He called me later that night and told me he had not stopped smiling, in fact, he said he smiled so much he had chapstick on his ears…HAHA! We went on our first date late may 2010, were engaged in October 2010, and married December 10, 2010. I do believe if it was not for Barry being a judge when my ex got out of the hospital, he would have come after me. A powerful movement was happening and I can only believe it was all spiritual. The first 3 years were a little tough since both of us wanted to be top dog at the home, but I soon let go and let him do his thing. We will be married 11 years in December and I do not think we have had an argument since early 2014. Now…we have popped off at each other, but not one argument. Barry lost Austin 12/19/13 to an accidental drug overdose and we both realized life on Earth is a mere glimpse and we want to spend our time not stressing over the small stuff. The Kids Chase is my oldest and his daughter is Brooklyn, who is 6 1/2 years old, and she has Barry wrapped around her finger! And grandma is her favorite buddy to hang with, at least that is the story I am sticking to, lol! The first picture above was taken when we were on a family vacation at the beach and the second picture is Chase and Brooklyn making scary/funny faces. They are two peas in a pod and he is one of the best dads I have seen. He is involved with her schooling 100%, and he is always trying to make memories with her. I told Chase having him when I was 24 actually saved my life and gave me purpose, and I think him having Brooklyn has done the same thing with him. What a gift of love that cannot be described or explained! Brooklyn filled an empty hole in Barry’s heart and has been a joy and a blessing from day one. Chase’s high school sweetheart is Brooklyn’s mom, they dated for about 6 years before they finally split up after Brooklyn was born, but remain so very close and co-parent Brooklyn phenomenally. Brooklyn and Chelsea (her mom) are below. These are two of my favorite pictures of them ❤️. Raegan is my youngest and is the one that wears her heart on her sleeve. She is one of the most loving, and compassionate people I have ever known. She is an animal lover and the child that was always bringing stray animals to the house to nurture and love. She hated school, and deals with anxiety issues, and is still trying to figure out what she wants to pursue in life. She has a green thumb that I am totally envious over, has a gift of photography, but rarely pursues that. And she can make a makeup tutorial as good as any of the professionals, but is way too shy to start her on channel. She is super creative, but has not found her passion yet. But I am sure she will soon! The Fur-Babies You See On The Blog Many of my pictures show our Goldendoodle, Ziva, in a lot of my pictures. She is obsessed with our bedroom and that is her “safe space”. Since I have been taking more pictures in the office, she has pretty much “quit the blog”, LOL! She is 4 years old, loves listening to gospel music during the day, super smart, but super goofy! Always looking for attention, and gets so excited to...

No matter what our pasts are, no matter how many times we fall, we can always be forgiven and given the strength to endure till the end. I look back over my life and it seems the failures outweigh the victories at times, but one thing is for sure – I did not stop, I did not give in. We fall, but we get up and although I may remember my failures, the Lord does not. Through those trials and struggles, I learned how to stand by getting on my knees. I learned that I am not perfect, nor will I ever be perfect, but the Lord looks at me as if I were perfect. I learned those struggles brought me to where I am now, without those struggles and failures, I would not have the faith that I do, and for that, I am forever grateful. Since we are nearing Easter Sunday, I thought I would dedicate the next few Sundays to an inspirational post. Today I am sharing my devotional, it is a reminder of faithfulness from the Lord. I hope you enjoy! Judges 16:28 Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God" What an embarrassing scene. What a shameful spectacle. Samson, who had been judge over Israel for twenty years, had been blessed with supernatural strength, had in one day killed a thousand Philistines with nothing but a bone in his hand – this same Samson now stands in the stadium of the Philistines, being made sport of and being himself the occasion for thanksgiving to their pagan gods. And the worst of it all is this: he is there because of his own sin, his own foolishness. Because he wouldn’t say no to the temptress Delilah, he had been caught unawares, defenseless, and helpless. His eyes have been put out because he was too blind to see how dangerous sin is. Why then would anyone use Samson as an example of faith? Shouldn’t he be an example of how to throw away everything that God has given you and make a royal mess of your life over and over again? Well, yes, he is that too. But Samson is also an example of true, God-honoring, world-overcoming faith. God himself mentions his name among the select few that are included in the “hall of faith” in Hebrews 11. And why is he mentioned? Because, through faith, Samson “out of weakness was made strong” (32, 34). Even after all his failures, all his shameful conduct, all his detestable sins Samson had faith to come to God again and pray for forgiveness and healing. Imagine the nerve! And yet God commends him for his faith. In fact, that kind of faith is mentioned as one of the most courageous and admirable to be found. Believer, if you have made a mess of your life, follow Samson’s faith and turn to God. He will hear you, he will heal you. Happy Sunday everyone! I recently downloaded Face To Face, by Natalie Grant and it has been the song I listen to on repeat. If you haven’t heard it, you can here. This world may not be the same world we are up in, but we have to remember that One has it all figured out and he works everything for the good of those that love Him.

Happy Sunday!! It seems like Sundays are rolling around quicker and quicker these days. It does not seem like we are about to head into the last week of February already, wow…time, stop! Even though I am not posting as much white Brooklyn is here for virtual school, I still like sharing all the most popular items. You girls were so awesome this week. I want to say thank you for all your comments and all the uplifting messages. I really enjoy all of you being here on the blog! For those of you that like the Sunday Inspiration, scroll down to the end of the post. I am sharing an awesome devotional from this week. This cardigan sweater was the top fave of the week, it was insanely popular! This is a perfect color to transition into the warmer months, plus it’s a thinner cardigan which makes it perfect for layering. This comes in multiple color options and fits tts, see it here. The Button-Front Boyfriend Cardigan from Target was in second place. Isn’t this the cutest! It’s one of my favorites and is perfect to pair with skirts also! This fits tts and comes in 5 other colors. See it here. The Camo Ankle Jeans from The Gap is hanging on at the #3 spot this week. I am not surprised that these are still popular since these are 40% right now for only $15 using code SALE. See them here. Fit tts. The Swiss Dot Split-Neck Tunic in Copper Moon was definitely loved by you girls. The color is so adorable and looks so chic with white jeans. This is 20% off using code SWEET. See it here. These Ponte Leggings from The Loft cam in at #5 and are still moving up the list. These are extremely comfortable and flattering for any size. These are on sale for $20 (60% off) this weekend. These fit tts. See them here. One of my favorites is the Straight Khaki Ankle Pants from The Gap, and it’s at #6 the week. These are becoming the pants I grab on repeat! They are stretchy, comfortable and so flattering whether you style them with booties, flats, or sneakers….these are a great buy. These are on sale for only $16 this weekend, use code SALE. See them here. The Soft Fleece Jogger Pants from Stars Above at Target are in the #7 spot. These joggers have been popular since before Christmas and when they came back in stock, I was able to snag the heather gray. Loungewear is going to be “what’s happening” this year and sets are going to be even bigger! These joggers are under $20 and fit tts, see them here. Multiple color options. These 2 pairs of Adidas sneakers are tied for the #8 spot. The leather Adidas Advantage Sneaker is probably my most worn sneaker. I even have 2 pairs…that’s how much I wear them. These are cute with jeans, shorts, or dresses in the spring and summer. See the leather Adidas here. The Adidas Racer 2.0 is an awesome athletic sneaker to wear with joggers or leggings. I have been wearing these to walk in and I am happy to say these give great support and my legs do not hurt during the day if I have walked too much. See the Racer here. Use code JUSTCHILLIN to get up to $60 off your order. At #9 is the Short Sleeve Ribbed T-Shirt from Target for only $8. I styled this with camo and a chambray shirt, but the possibilities are endless! A striped tee is such a great staple item for your wardrobe and at $8, it’s a steal! This comes in multiple colors and patterns, Fits TTS. See the tee here. At #10 was the Prayer Journal For Women. Many of you picked up a lot of the stickers, Bible verses, and the lined prayer journal also. I am linking all these below the picture. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Sunday Inspiration I recently picked up a new devotional and thought I would share it today. I really liked this one and I thought this would be a great consolation to many of you! At times I feel as if I am a mere tiny speck in this world and I cannot make a difference, but then other times I feel like if I am positive role model for my children and grandchild, then that is more precious than rubies. My daughter suffers from anxiety and I know many of my friends do also, I hope this encourages someone to have a little Peace. XOXO Have a great Sunday!! John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. The world offers you many solutions to your fear. Anxiety medication, relaxation techniques, psychotherapy exercises or even escapism through alcohol or drugs. But here’s what God offers you: Him. God offers you the peace of His love, the steadiness of His protection, the rock solid foundation of His promise. And His promise is that if you step into the legend He created you to be, you WILL succeed. It doesn’t matter what other people say. There IS greatness in you. God designed you to reach your full potential, to be powerful beyond measure, to have success and joy and abundance in your life. Don’t let fear make you quit. Don’t let the terror of what “could” happen affect how you take the next step forward. As a daughter of Christ you’ve been given the incredible gift of God’s peace. This means you don’t have to let the fear trouble your heart, you don’t have to let the unknown shake your fight. You can leave it in God’s hands because He knows exactly what He’s doing. Believe me, sister of Christ, you can do everything God designed you to do. He knows exactly what He’s doing. Thanks so much for following me on my blog! Be sure to follow along on my Facebook page! I am revamping my page and will be posting daily deals, Target Finds, Amazon Finds, and so much more that are not shown on the blog.

Another week has wrapped up, and I’m sharing the Most Popular Items from the blog and social media. Some items really surprised me of how they moved up so quickly and some items I knew would be top on the list. I know we all love a deal and we certainly love when the sales are going on, so you all are going to love this post! Some of the top faves are well under $17! My Sunday Inspiration section is at the bottom of the post for those that like to read those. Today I am sharing my Prayer Journal and Prayerful Planner and with the “extras” I am using. I know some of you will love this! Happy Sunday and stay safe! XOXO At #1 is the Camo Skinny Jean from The Gap, and I’m not surprised. Everyone has loved these jeans on all social media platforms and the blog. These jeans have an impeccable fit, and girls…they are on sale for 50% off and under $13 right now! Use code SALE, see them here. Fit TTS. The Time and Tru Wrap Sweater has been one of the most popular items on the blog this year and it’s still holding at #2 in the Top 10. This fits TTS, comes in multiple colors, and is under $15! See the sweater here. The Adidas Cropped Sweatshirt came in at #3! This sweatshirt is on sale for $33 at Kohl’s and comes in 4 other colors. This fits TTS, it is roomy but not oversized, see it here. At #4 is the Adidas 2.0 Sneakers and these are great for walking and standing all day. I had these sneakers on when Kilo was in the wreck and he bled all over them; can you believe they came out of the washing machine looking brand new? See the sneaker here. The Red Blazer from Amazon is sitting at #5 and is the perfect blazer for work or play. This fits TTS and comes in multiple color options. See the blazer here. At #6 is my favorite Skinny Ankle Jeans from Express. These sell out nonstop, but right now they are fully stocked! These are a mid-rise button up jean and hits right at your ankle. These come in petite to tall. These are 40% off for President’s Day, check them out here. The Misha Pump has climbed to the #7 spot and boy were these loved by the girls on Instagram! Brooklyn swears these are her favorite and I love wearing them…I cannot lie! They give a pop of color that really stands out. The Misha Pump is on sale under $30 and I sized up 1/2 size for extra comfort and toe space and I’m glad I did. These come in multiple colors and patterns, you can see them here. The Stars Above Soft Fleece Jogger was a huge favorite this week and made it to the #8 slot. Girls, these are the softest jogger you will find, get your regular size in these and I promise you will fall in love with the comfort! These are Heather Gray and they come in a few other color options as well. See the jogger here. (Honorable Mention goes to the Fleece Active Jacket, see it here) These Straight Khakis from The Gap are probably my favorite khakis I have. These are styled with the Wrap Sweater from Time and Tru in the pictures above. Style these with heels, sandals, or sneakers..they are a great pant. These are 50% off this weekend for only $13 using code SALE. See them here. Fits TTS. At #10 is the Woven Cami from A New Day at Target. I have been wearing this on repeat it wears so well. This comes in multiple colors, but I really liked the neutral brown since I could style this with so many outfits. This is also 20% off this weekend, see it here. We had a tie for the #10 spot! The Vintage Straight Cropped jean has been very popular with everyone across the board. Looser jeans are in style right now and these cropped jeans fit the trend well. These fit TTS and can be styled with sneaker, bootie, and your favorite sandals as it gets warmer. See the jean here. Sunday Inspiration I have been using this Prayer Journal and Devotional for a while now and I am enjoying it so much I thought I would share it with you girls. I have been writing my prayers down (like letters to God) since I was 26 and it has really taught me how to put my feelings into words. Have you ever been praying or trying to pray and get lost in what you should be asking for or what you are thankful for? Writing my thoughts down like a letter has helped me grow in my faith more than you can imagine. Plus, it’s a great thing to have so you can look back over the years and see how far you have come. The “Be Still And Know That I Am God” journal is a cover with a lined notebook inside to write whatever you want to in it. You can change the notebooks out as you fill them up. The Planner (above) includes scripture verses, reflections on the Word, and journaling prompts to guide your walk with God and strengthen your faith. And the stickers are added plus that has been a fun way to make sure I am spending time with the Lord each day. Brooklyn has taken a big interest in the Bible and praying since we have been using these. The Prayerful Planner is the planner I am using for the blog that has months, weeks, etc. for me to plan my week and months out. It also has areas for prayers, goals, priorities, and can be found here. All the other items are in the carousel below. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Thanks so much for following me on my blog! Be sure to follow along on my Facebook page! I am revamping my page and will be posting daily deals, Target Finds, Amazon Finds, and so much more that are not shown on the blog. From fashion, beauty, home decor, gift ideas, and recipes…it’s about to get real! LOL!! Can’t wait to see you on FB! Hey girl! Stop scrolling! Follow along with the girls!

Another week has wrapped up, and I’m sharing the Top Faves from the blog and social media. Some items really surprised me this week. Some items I knew would be top on the list, and others surprised me that they were so far up on the list. I think I can say that most of us loves a deal and we love comfort! My Sunday Inspiration section is at the bottom of the post for those that like to read the devotionals I share. Happy Sunday, ladies! Coming in at #1 is the LOVE sweater from Walmart, which tells me that you girls are getting ready for Valentine’s Day! I love this sweater and have been wearing it quite a bit this month. These do Fit TTS, but they are getting limited in sizes. I have linked different options below that are just as cute and fun! See the LOVE sweater here. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. At #2 is the Paisley Mixed Media Henley Blouse from Loft Outlet. Style this with a cardigan or blazer for work, and on the weekend throw on a great denim jacket. This fits TTS and is on sale for 50% off for only $22! See the blouse here. This comes in multiple color options and is under $15 and Fits TTS. See it here. The Steve Madden Kori Q Mules are in the #4 slot and are fast becoming some of my favorite mules. These are very comfortable, they stay on your feet, and look fabulous with denim or dress pants. These are on sale for under $35, here. In the #5 spot is the Time and Tru Addison Crossbody and Purse. I like this bag because you can carry it in different ways plus it has multiple compartments and has become my bag of choice for everyday use. This comes in black and mustard also. See it here. At #6 is the Floral Smocked Shell that is absolutely adorable! This fits TTS and is on sale for only $14. See it here. The Modern Ribbed Duster Cardigan from White House Black Market (similar to the one below) made it to #7 and is still climbing! This duster is normally $99 but is now marked down to $24. See it here. These Sculpted High Rise Skinny Ankle Jeans made it to the #8 spot this week! These are very soft jeans with plenty of stretch with a 4-star review out of 5. See them here. This cozy outfit made it to the Top 10 this week! At #9 is the No Boundaries Color lock Tie-Front top the fits TTS and is only $7! This comes in different colors, you can check it out here. And coming in at #10 is the Reebok Jogger Fleece Pant. These are really nice to wear if you are lounging around the house or if you are getting out and walking during the day. This comes in 5 more colors and fits TTS. See the jogger here. Sunday Inspiration Today I am sharing a short story devotional that I read this week and it hit me for many reasons. I lost my dad when I was 19 years old, so maneuvering through life at times has made me miss him terribly, so this hit home for me and helped me recall some of the talks we shared right before he died. It also reminded me not to look at the world, but to look towards the Lord. Though chaos seems to be the norm, I know that I should always keep my mind steadfast on Him, no matter how crazy things get – he is my lifeline! Hannah saw her father every day—at least technically. That is, she passed him in the hallway and briefly said hello. Or sometimes she’d slip into his office and ask him to help her…or complain about her day. Yet while she saw him regularly, she strangely missed him. When she paused long enough in her busy day, she could remember back to the sweet times she used to have with her father. How they’d sit and talk for hours. You know—really talked. Not a few quick words while racing off to an event, but focused, deep, daddy-daughter time. What had happened? It was a question Hannah began asking herself. She knew her father hadn’t changed—he was still there, available to talk with, arms open wide. No, the problem wasn’t his—it was hers. She’d had her mind so occupied in a thousand different directions that she’d failed to quiet her thoughts long enough to really spend time with her father. She’d been missing out. “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 (KJV) Hey girl! Stop scrolling! Follow along with the girls! Are you following along on Instagram? Get behind the scenes videos, daily outfits, and of course family pictures. Not to mention I am sharing recipes that fit into the FWTFL program and will work with the KETO diet also. Get flash sales, all the trends, and much more! Including life hacks, beauty tips & hacks, and be the first to see the makeup tutorials and all other videos. Follow along here. Don’t Miss A Post! Have you signed up for my daily blog post? Don’t miss the latest outfits, or beauty finds, so be sure to Subscribe and get the latest post each day. Be sure to Pin any picture or outfit to Pinterest, this helps others find my blog and helps me grow my blog! POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS, WHICH MEANS IF YOU CLICK ON AND PURCHASE AN ITEM, I MAY RECEIVE A SMALL COMMISSION. THIS IS AT NO COST TO YOU. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON WHAT THAT MEANS, SEE MY ABOUT PAGE: BLOG COMPENSATION AND DISCLOSURE Proverbs 31:25“She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future…”

How many of us walk around with a smile on our face, but deep down we feel tired, burdened, or alone and we are forcing a smile on our face? I smiled through a marriage that was abusive, horrible verbal abuse, and I was constantly feeling like I was walking on eggshells. I have learned that those years molded me spiritually more than I can imagine. I learned what faith was, I learned to lean on Jesus and depend on him. I grew leaps and bounds those years, even though I considered them to be the worst years of my life. I hope this helps someone today, it certainly did me. Stay safe girls and have a great Sunday! On the outside, Olivia looked like she had it all together. She always wore a smile and never looked frazzled or tired. Her secret? A mask. It was easy to look put together wearing a mask. No matter how out of sorts inside she felt, her mask was always smiling. No matter how bad the sickness from which she suffered was, her mask always looked healthy and vibrant. Only there were a lot of problems with wearing a mask. For one, it kept her from getting better. Underneath the mask, Olivia was suffering from a terrible illness, and the mask only trapped it all inside, making it worse and keeping her from getting help. After all, others had no idea she was even sick! One day, Olivia realized she couldn’t handle the mask any longer. She needed help. Hesitatingly, she allowed a friend to see under the mask. To her great surprise, her friend didn’t freak out. Instead, she pulled up her own mask, showing that she, too, was trapping an illness inside. Honest with each other at last, they were able to help one another and get the treatment they needed. Oh, how freeing it was to let the mask fall off! “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 5:7 (ESV) “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 (ESV) “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16 (ESV) Hey girl! Stop scrolling! Follow along with the girls! Are you following along on Instagram?

Another week has wrapped up, and I’m sharing the Top Faves from the blog and social media. Many of the things I shared last week were a huge hit with all of you! Some items I knew would be popular, and some items surprised me that they moved to the top so fast. What I do know…you girls love a great sweater as much as I do, HA! My Sunday Inspiration section is at the bottom of the post for those that like to read the devotionals I share. Happy Sunday, ladies! This sweater is only $10 and was a HUGE favorite this week! This Fits TTS and comes in multiple color and print options. Check out the sale before it’s too late! See the sweater here. The Time and Tru V-neck Lightweight Sweater is only $15 and it’s a bargain. I find myself wearing this one quite a lot, it’s comfortable, it’s a longer style sweater, and Fits TTS. This also comes in multiple color options. See it here. The Tessie Sherpa Hiking Boot is a favorite on the blog and with the weather getting cooler, this will continue to be a fave. Hiking boots are trending this season and this one is a steal for only $28! That’s right, Target has put the favorite boot on sale and you can see it here. The Sonoma Soft Flannel Plaid shirt was a big hit with you girls! Well, buckle up because these plaid flannels are on sale for only $10 now!! This comes in several color options, it’s very comfortable, Fits TTS, and did I mention this shirt was only $10??? USe code YOUGET20, see it here. My favorite coat is the Soft Brushed Funnel Neck Coat from Old Navy, and this is on sale for only $37! This is a very nice coat, and for this price, it’s a HUGE bargain. This can be worn dressy or with a casual outfit. The wool coat is a very popular trend with jeans and sneakers. See the coat here. The Striped Mock Neck Pullover from Target came in at #6 and is on sale for $20! Wow, these deals on these sweaters are killing me! This is a comfortable and cozy sweater! I styled it with leggings but looks great with jeans for an easy “put together” look. This comes in more color options, you can check it out here. At #7 is the Chambray shirt that is 50% off at Old Navy. This Fits TTS and comes in a darker wash also. See it here. The cute Croft & Barrow paid vest was a huge hit at #8, and it only went on the blog yesterday! This vest comes in multiple color options, fits TTS, and is only $15. This is a woven quilted vest that is very comfortable to wear throughout the day. Use code YOUGET20, see the vest here. The day I posted this outfit, RewardStyle went down because of an issue with Amazon’s server. But…this Camo cardigan still made the top 10! This is a lightweight cardigan that has pockets and is very comfortable to wear with shirts or tanks. This Fits TTS, I am wearing a medium for reference. This is on sale for only $23 right now. This comes in multiple colors and options, so grab yours fast! See it here. The Marlee Knee High Heeled Boot came in at #10 and let me just say this…get it! Tying at #10 is the Lounge V-Neck Pullover Sweater by Stars Above. This cutie is on sale for $17! I’m telling ya, Target is kicking it with the deals! This is super comfortable, and you can pair it with sweater joggers also. See the sweater here, and the joggers are here. Both Fits TTS. Sunday Inspiration Today my devotion was on Aging Gracefully, which is something I think wearing all have issues with. For one, I can look in the mirror and see everything that is wrong with me in my eyes. Yet my husband can look at me and think I’m the prettiest girl he’s ever seen. We all look at ourselves more critically than anyone else. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror from the side and think, “Oh my gosh, I am so thick? Or boy, have I gained weight?”. Yet, we can look at someone else the exact same size and think they look fabulous?! We need to stop that! Every day, I try to stop being critical and start appreciating every line, every lump, or bump because I have been given a gift—a gift of life. I have lived much longer than many, I have gained wisdom, and I have been fortunate to experience love within my 50+ years. I hope you enjoy my devotion and remember…you are beautiful and uniquely made! God made you, and he makes no mistakes! Thanks for stopping by the blog, and have a wonderful Sunday girls! XOXO “I will still be the same when you are old and gray, and I will take care of you.” Isaiah 46:4 As we grow older, our bodies begin to change. Woman’s hips extend to new horizons on the east, our previously robust skin begins to droop, and veins pop up in the most unlikely places. But instead of criticizing the body, we have, shouldn’t we appreciate the years and maturity we have been blessed with? After decades of trial and error, we finally are able to get a grip on our unique sets of gifts and abilities. We are able to understand how to best use them for God’s glory. Our eyesight might be deteriorating, but our insight is keener than ever. Appreciate your ability to take your eyes off the mirror and focus on what’s more important. Hey girl! It really woke me up and made me look at things differently. Hopefully, this will bring some positivity into your day and week. It made me take a second look at circumstances that I frequently find myself in. It hit home because my goal is to be as positive as much as I can, especially in bad times. My husband and kids dislike this about me at times, but hopefully, they will remember this as life brings them upsets. I hope you enjoy this and thank you for stopping by the blog today. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!! XOXO “The LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!” Psalm 32:10,11 God controls and allows every detail of our lives. Nothing happens without His knowledge and approval. Every day, little changes in schedule or small irritations occur. Every day, we can choose to let these obstacles upset us, or we can rest in the knowledge that God lovingly ordained them as small irritants to help us look to and rely on Him. For example, we can grumble about the frustrating traffic jam that is keeping us from getting somewhere on time, or we can remember that God knows about our deadlines and view the time sittingin traffic as an opportunity to pray. We can complain, or we can rejoice. May we allow the knowledge that we are continually surrounded by God’sunfailing love to permeate our lives and chase away our complaints and fears. Hey girl! Sunday Inspiration Today I am sharing a short story devotion that I read this past week, it really hit home for me, and it may bring some comfort to you. Especially in the times that we are living in. It brought me comfort and a new sense of peace and freedom after I read it and pondered on it for a while. How true this is! I hope you enjoy this and thank you for stopping by the blog today. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!! XOXO In the distance, Jane heard sirens and gunfire. While her body trembled sometimes at the noise, she wasn’t terrified. Her daddy was taking care of her. One day at the playground someone said something very mean to Jane. The words stung. But then she smiled. Her daddy loved her. Another time Jane messed up badly and broke a glass dish. She felt terrible—and so very clumsy. But her heart rested when she remembered that even so, her daddy still loved her. At night, Jane curled up in bed and slept contentedly. She had no cause to fear. Her daddy was still awake. She was at peace in her daddy’s care. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” Psalm 121 (KJV) God doesn’t promise everything will go our way or we won’t suffer (in fact, He warns we will have tribulations—John 16:33)—but He does promise to watch over us night and day, working all things for good (Romans 8:28). And despite how confident we are sometimes that we know what is best, God truly knows what is best—He sees eternity’s grand picture—and He is in charge of everything. We can be at peace in Him.
