White & Black For Fall

Happy Thursday ladies! Today is all about black and white combination inspiration! Many women still think you can’t wear white jeans/pants after Labor Day, but I’m here to tell you that you can! White jeans look clean and crisp, looks great with black or taupe boots and can be styled with nearly ANY top or sweater!

I started this post totally focused on the mustard satchel…and it grew to a couple of outfits. I was looking at my new satchel and contemplating what kind of outfit I could use this with…and of course my mind went straight to leopard print LOL! It wasn’t long before I had pull many pieces out of my closet and started planning a blog post.

I got this vest from Old Navy a few weeks when I did a Try-On Haul, see those outfit here, and had to have it! The olive vest fits TTS and comes in multiple colors, what I like best is its lightweight and is super comfy to layer.

I am a white jean fanatic and have acquired multiple pairs this past year. Vince Camuto frayed hem ankle jeans are so cute and stylish! These are on sale at Belk right now, use code: COLUMBUS to get an extra 20% off!

My scarf is an Infinity Leopard Print, you can wrap this 2 or 3 times, depending on what look you are going for. My satchel is by London Fog that I picked up at Burke’s Outlet. I looked online and they did not have any in stock, but you may find one at your local store. I have linked similar ones below for you if you like the color and style. I also picked up the leopard belt from my local Walmart, if you haven’t “gifted” yourself a leopard belt yet- well, it;s high time! It’s such an easy way to incorporate a small amount of animal print with your outfit. This is one of the belts I have to fight Raegan over – she steals or “borrows” everything!

My booties are by City Classified and these come in several colors and have a block heel that’s about 2 1/4 inch heel, perfect for walking in. This style is very popular this season, I have seen the cut-out sides everywhere! These look great with jeans, dresses, and skirts!

To take your look up a notch, another outfit idea with the turtleneck sweater is to pair it with a cardigan like I did below. I chose a longer cardigan that hits right below the knees, but a shorter cardigan would work just as well.

I get asked every now and then about my updos, and I am wearing the Messy Side Bun today (I like to shake things up every so often lol). Click here to see the Messy Side Bun post and video, it has been very popular on Pinterest! I like to have some bend or curl in my hair when I wear this updo, and second-day hair works awesome! To give yourself volume, spray dry shampoo throughout your hair to give you some grit. This will help hold your hair for the updo. I’ve been trying to give my hair a break from the curling iron, so you may see this updo again LOL!

What I Actually Wore

Since it has gotten a little cooler here in NC, I decided to wear the vest from ON. I am very casual, so I wore distressed jeans with a frayed hem and the cutest white gauze blouse. They are sold out online, but here is a similar one.

I’m finally having that first cup of coffee with you again this morning!!!! I’m going to try and catch up on the past post but today I’d say my favorite is the last one….olive vest, white blouse, jeans and closed toe booties! I love vest so maybe that’s why I gravitate towards that one but I too think you can’t go wrong with black and white. Just wish gals wore white jeans in my area after Labor Day…LOL And your messy bun is very cute. You are lucky to have hair long enough to do different things with it. You have a great day too!

Good morning Sandy!! I have missed you!!! I figured you guys have been busy bees. I knew you’d say the olive vest because I know you love a vest as much as I do 😂. Thanks for the comment and don’t work too hard. I’m having my coffee ☕️ too, well I’m on my 2nd cup lol. Happy Thursday ❤️❤️

Good morning! I am new to your blog and let me just say that I am enjoying it!!!!!! I am quickly approaching 50 (in January 😜) and I want my fashion to stay on trend. Thanks for your help with that.😘
My favorite trend right now is the white jeans. Let me be honest and say that I had pretty much packed those babies away for the season until I found your blog. You have inspired me to keep them out and wear them all year!

Good morning! I am new to your blog and let me just say that I am thoroughly enjoying it!🙌 I am fast approaching 50 (in January) and I am thrilled that I found your blog to help me stay in the fashion game.
My favorite item in today’s post is the way you’re styling white jeans. If I’m honest, I would have to say I had pretty much packed those babies away for the year. But your blog has inspired me to wear them all year. Thank you for that!!! My favorite outfit is with the black sweater and leopard print scarf. The mustard bag is the perfect splash of color.
