Summer Boho Outfit
Happy Tuesday and good morning everyone! Hope everyone is recovering from Monday and the weekend. Reading the comments, some of you stay extremely busy – my hats off to you! I got a few things done yesterday, but not as much as I would have hoped for. I did get the laundry caught up and that in itself was a huge undertaking LOL! I want to give a quick Happy Birthday shout out to Tania from 50 Is Not Old, it’s her birthday today!!!
Back to the laundry…I posted this on my Facebook Business page a few days ago and it got a LOT of sharing. I thought it was funny and true at times!
I decided to go boho yesterday as I was running errands around town and chose this cute on or off the shoulder top. I got this top last August in a “Jackpot” box from the Boutique I work at, this is not a top I would have picked out if I was in the store, but once I put it on I actually loved it! Sometimes things don’t look like “us”, but if we step out and try new things you will find that you really like different styles.
No matter when I wear this blouse, I have always gotten compliments on it. I was in Walmart picking up a few essentials and ran into an old school mate and she complimented me on it, so I decided to share it with you girls. It has been a #1 seller on the Liketoknow.it app. I like this top because I can wear it on or off the shoulder and the colors truly scream Spring and Summer.
I found the top on Amazon and was tickled it was still available. I am wearing a large and it is too big on me, but I still wear it since I like the colors. It would fit more on the shoulder if I was wearing a Medium, so if you are looking flexibility I would size up. It’s made by Umgee and called Straight Off the Runway top. See it HERE.
I paired it with a pair of white skinny Mid Rise Rockstar jeans from Old Navy. I turned the hem up to make my own cuff – save money where you can! LOL!! Here is a closer look at the top, I love the flower detail in this blouse. The trim and the bell sleeves really make this top stand out. I do like to wear a bralette underneath at times so my shoulders don’t feel so bare. If you are looking for a great bralette that is a good price point then go HERE. You can pick out if you want
Let’s talk about the earrings – these are the cutest earrings and the picture does not do them justice! If you are looking a lightweight (in the pink/rose family) that dangles – you need these in your life! I saw them online numerous times and when I had a credit for hosting a party – I snagged them up. I got these Dr. Scholls Esque Wedge Sandals from an Amazon Prime Wardrobe box and boy I wasn’t letting these go back. The heel is about 2 1/4 inches tall and they are padded to keep your feet feeling great. I wore these running around town yesterday, I was in and out of stores and my feet never bothered me. I was really shocked, I thought for sure my legs would be aching some – but they never did. These are only $44.99 and to me, that’s a deal for a great pair of shoes. Do you wear wedges? I have found that when I wear wedges they are so much more comfortable on my feet than regular heels. At my age, I am looking comfort, which means I like wedges and block heels – or kitten heels. I never wear a heel over 2 1/2 inches and I prefer 1 inch, what do you girls like best? Curious minds want to know LOL!

I noticed you linked to a different bralette than in the past. Which do you prefer? I ordered the Yianni and wonder if this one today is different?

They are very similar, I have 3 different kinds from Amazon and I like them all. This one has a bit more spandex in it than the last one posted. Hope that helps. Have a great day Rhonda!!

Yes I definitely second that comment about jBloom jewelry. I think I have a problem now.lol! Get some is my advice. And if you can get it for free by hosting a party I suggest you do that too. Now to the top your wearing. It’s gorgeous and can’t believe the price. That color of blue is my favorite these days. I’d wear it up more than on the shoulder I think but it’s beautiful. I’ve had 3 back surgeries so high heels aren’t for me. At least not for long period of time. The sandals are super cute and look comfy. Gonna check them out. I’m excited about the launch tonight. You doing the Zoom call?

You look so cute today and I agree that the colors in that top just shout spring/summer! Your hair looks cute styled like that too. I do have a pair of the rockstar jeans but did size up a size so I didn’t feel like a sausage in them. Thanks for sharing the laundry chuckle….I hate when I go into the bedroom late in the day and realize I forgot to go back up and fold the laundry I put on the bed. It always folds better warm. We are finally going to have a couple of 80 deg. days so I’m hoping to be out and about and I am getting ready to head out the door and make the 2.5 hour drive to see our granddaughter graduate from Preschool. She is so excited. My hubby is staying home to hopefully start planting corn…not ideal conditions but they have more rain in the forecast for the end of the week so we really don’t have a choice. And…I have “flat” sandals on to do my running around before the graduation. I can’t move fast enough in heels or wedges so I give you a lot of credit for being able to run errands in those cute sandals. Talk to you tomorrow.

Lol!! Well, I have had to dress up (almost) my entire adult life in the corporate world so I am used to it. That may make a difference. I do love casual days with sneakers or flip flops though lol. I size up on my rockstar jeans sometimes. I like some pants that stretch when I eat haha!!! Have fun today!! I know she is excited and I bet you are too!!

Good morning! I like everything about this outfit! It is so cute on you 🙂 As you know I am not a heels kind of girl due to my height but also I want to be comfortable and as I age I find that I look for comfort as well as style. I do have a wedge kind of sandal that I love but I don’t wear it very often because it has about a 4″ heel and at my height of 5″10″ already that makes me 6’2″ with them on. A girl walked into the store yesterday who was taller than me and she had heels that were quite high and I thought she looked fantastic. I wonder sometimes if I just over think the height thing and should go for it and wear the higher shoes? Anyway, it is a beautiful day here and I have the day off, yipee! I have a couple of errands to run and then I may work outside in the yard so that I can take advantage of the beautiful sunshine. I went in my local CVS yesterday and thought about you!! So, you know I’m tall and I wore these yesterday and when Barry got off work we ran to Subway to grab a sub. I told him to stand up straight since I had these heels on. He told me I was overthinking the heels. As we were walking up to the door I could see our reflection in the doors and he was taller than me, but I felt so tall for some reason lol!! I think we are overthinking this -we are model tall and should sport these heels haha!!! Have a great day off!!!

Thank you Kelly Palmer….I did have a good trip but it always goes much too fast. I loved last night when the class went around and said their names and what they wanted to be when they grow up and our granddaughter said…my name is Caylee and I want to be a FARMER!!! that makes her grandpa and I proud!!!

Something in your post jogged my memory so I went to my closet and lo and behold I have a pair of Rockstar jeans hanging in there with the tags still on them! I had forgotten that I bought them so guess what I will be wearing today? 😉
