Coated Jeans: A Jean For Work & Play

Happy Tuesday! I hope Monday was a great holiday for everyone. I know some of you probably had a long weekend, but for others – it was back to work. I worked from home yesterday and cleaned. Cleaning is not something I long to do, but if it gets done….you ladies can finish that sentence! I know or I bet most of you are the cleaners, the chefs, the child care, the planning, the shopper…etc. If not for women, huh!!

I decided to grab a pair of jeans I got on Black Friday, I nearly forgot I had them. I was cleaning out my drawers (I’m finally starting the KonMari Method) when I ran across a pair of Coated Black Jeans by Warp + Weft. I yanked those things out so quick it would make your head spin. I had forgotten all about them! I loved these jeans, they have a shine to them and look so good on – I stuck them back in a drawer and they were history. These are a great pair of jeans for date night, girls night out, or even to wear to work.

I originally received these jeans in a Stitch Fix Box late-November of last year and absolutely fell in love with them. I didn’t love them enough to buy them for $98 though. I looked for the same brand on the web and when I found the website they were having a 50% off sale for Black Friday. So I sent them back to Stitch Fix and saved $50! It does a wallet good to browse every now and then. These jeans are a little heavier than regular jeans and have a sheen or shine to them. They fit you perfect and true to size, they have a lot of stretch to them that makes them fit you perfectly. I did do a little searching and found some on Amazon that was cheaper and had great reviews. I like these jeans for the fit and look more than anything. They look so chic on and make you look put together!

I decided to pair it with a blue chiffon blouse I picked up from Burkes Outlet last year this time. I found some from Amazon that is very similar to this top at a great price point and customer rating. I think any color would look great with these jeans. While I was browsing on the Cato website I found a blouse that is really close to this one that is only $13.99 right now! Click HERE for the Cato blouse.

A white button-down with a cardigan and the sleeves cuffed would look really cute. The Black Crackle Faux Leather Drape Jacket I styled a few weeks back with jeans would look awesome with these jeans. The Faux Leather Jacket was from Cato also! Add a white, pewter, pink or even red colored camisole and heels -what a date night outfit! The Drape Coat is ON SALE for $27.99 right now. Click HERE for the Jacket.

I wanted to style these pants with a lower heel sandal for all my tall girls (Hey Kelly!! LOL!) out there! I just got these in my Amazon Prime Wardrobe box a few weeks back and loved them so much…they had to stay! These are called 206 Collective Women’s Eve Stiletto Heel Dress Sandal-Low Heel and come in a variety of colors and wear GREAT! These were on sale at the time for $49.99, but have now gone back up to $75. Get these shoes HERE. So, I looked around and found identical shoes at half that price. I’m linking them all in the look book below.

I chose to go very minimal with jewelry, I chose the Vintage Gold Leather Bracelet from JBloom Designs ($32.00) for this outfit and a pair of Lauren Conrad Stick Linear Earrings (On Sale for $7.65) in Silver. Get the Bracelet HERE. Get the earrings HERE.

Don’t forget the Customer Special for February is the Cube Necklace below. Get it for only $20 – this would make an expensive, but special gift for anyone. Think ahead for graduates, Mother’s Day and birthdays! I hope you girls have a great Tuesday!! Don’t work too hard and I will see you on the blog tomorrow!

You are so right about the cleaning…when it gets done you just feel so much better and the house just “feels clean” when you walk into a room! I’m 5’4″ but I too am liking lower heels. My feet/arch just can’t take the higher heels anymore but some outfits just look better with some kind of a heel. I am headed to the city today so I may have to take time to stop by Catos 😉 And that bracelet…SO pretty!

I have seen the coated jeans and wondered if I would like them. You make them look so nice. I have a pair of those heels and love them. Got them for my daughter’s wedding but they are so versatile. I just ordered a necklace from J Bloom and can’t wait to get it. Their jewelry is so nice and very much my style. Thanks for introducing me to it. 😊

I love this outfit and it is one of my favorites on you so far! I too like to shop at Cato’s and find that their prices are so reasonable. The sandals are so cute, very affordable and I won’t have to ask my husband Troy to stand on his tiptoes when he is standing next to me 😉
