New Spring Trends Alert

Good Morning ladies! I hope your week has been wonderful! I am so tired, oh my gosh…I don’t think I have ever walked so much in one day. The Atlanta Fashion Market has 13 floors of vendors. If you saw it on the Instastories, it was HUGE!! And we walked and looked through hundreds of shops and looked through thousands of pieces of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. Take a look at a video of all the floors, vendors and there was a Fashion Show going on too! It was so cool!

I’m not going to lie, it was OVERWHELMING! I tried to post as much as I could on Instastories, but I had the worst time with my phone. I had to find spots to charge it, it was a mess! I did get some put up though. You girls know that I had a very early flight – what you don’t know is…

I’m ADHD and have a hard time falling asleep, that may be attributed to going through the “change of life” also. So, Tuesday night I tried to nap some, but that was to no avail. So I ended up staying up all night so I wouldn’t oversleep. I have always had the fear of missing an early flight. I napped a little and I mean a LITTLE on the plane ride to Atlanta. It’s only about an hour flight so there wasn’t much snoozing going on.

I ended up staying up all day and I finally knocked out around 9pm Wednesday night. Girls…around 2pm I thought I was in a trance haha! From 2 – 5 I was definitely having issues focusing. Around 5pm I started to catch a second wind and was able to finish up shopping, Market closes at 6pm. We got checked in to our hotel and decided to grab something to eat. We ate at a really nice restaurant called Ray’s. It was a seafood and steak place, when they brought out the bread before our meal, I was so tired I thought the pita bread sticking up was the napkins they put in the basket. It was horrible and funny! But the food was AWESOME! On the way to the restaurant, by the way (we walked everywhere we went) I saw this sweet horse and carriage going by me- it was so adorable!

We got back to the room around 8:30 and I was ready for bed by 9pm. I was immediately asleep till about 10pm. I woke back up, had to make my way to the bathroom, my eyes had adjusted to the darkness so getting to the bathroom and not waking anyone up was no problem. Once I had turned out the bathroom lights and opened the door to go back to bed – stark reality set in that I was in total blackness again! I had to feel my way (and I mean basically on th floor feeling my way back to the bed hoping I didn’t disturb my roomie. Well, about 45 minutes later I was up again – I think I drank too much tea at dinner. All I could think was, “You GOT to be kidding ME!!!.” I made sure I took my phone this time for light – no stumping the toes in the dark for me!

Once I laid down I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. As much as I have traveled in the past, although I enjoyed seeing the United States, I do not miss it at all! LOL!!!

Girls, we picked out all the latest trends and I am going to be featuring these gorgeous outfits each week as the new arrivals come in and make them available to all of YOU!!!! Here are some of the pictures I was able to take before my phone totally died – remember this is a sneak peek!

Big items that were trending – any kind of animal print. IT WAS EVERYWHERE! Jumpsuits, rompers, midi-length dresses, cinched waist shorts, skirts, and pants. Colors that are going to be popular – coral, blush, khaki, olive, anything that looks beachy or “resorty”. Straw hats – floppy hats, fedora hats, straw or crocheted or macrame handbags. Round handbags, handbags with the metal circle to tote it was everywhere. Lightweight sweaters to pair with shorts were hot. Kimonos are still going strong, from hitting right below the hip to hitting at your ankles. Joggers, flowy tops half tucked in with dress pants that are cropped and most skirts hit knee length and a new trend of dresses and skirts – the length is hitting mid calve. Who remembers those back in the ’80s and ’90s??? Skinny ankle pants, wedge heels, espadrilles, strappy sandals, and mules were being bought up by Boutiqes and Big retail stores everywhere.

What’s your thoughts on these shoes below? These were some of the biggest sellers we saw.

The espadrilles are popular in a smaller platform and the really thick platform. I tend to love the smaller platform, I’m tall enough LOL! I see a real HUGE trend of the 80’s styles and shoes coming back but in a really cute upgrade. Also, anything glittery is in! From your sandals, tennis shoes, and tops! Oh, the biggest seller was the cropped ankle kick flare jeans and the cropped ankle jeans with frayed hem. They were selling out so fast, we had to have them shipped ASAP to make sure we get them before they sell out. Cargo pants with Hi-lo camisoles paired with lightweight Spring blazers, jackets, longer thin utility jackets – a lot is coming ladies!

The one thing to remember, if it’s beachy – it’s going to be in stores. I picked out a lot of cute items for our over 40 beauties that I can show you how to wear it in different ways. You girls are going to LOVE what’s coming!!!

Sorry I missed my blog post Thursday, it was so rushed Thursday, there was no way for me to take an hour or so get the post live. Saturday I will be posting a Week In Review and throw in some new outfits you haven’t seen.

Can’t wait to see the styles! How tall are you? I am a short 5 foot nothing. I hope the ankle kick flare jeans will be ok on such a short frame.

Sounds like you had a heck of a time. There’s so much to see at market it can be overwhelming. Hope you got some rest and look forward to more inside looks into fashion.

I’m trying to get caught up on your post since we are on vacation enjoying warm weather since we left single digits and snow storm behind. Since I will be 62 next week, I can relate to the 80’s and 90’s dresses and I have to admit I love hearing that the mid length is coming back in as I loved that length style of dress. I know I will have a hard time thinking the flare crop jeans look good on me so I may have to step out of my comfort zone. I’m glad you had a fun time at market even though you were lacking sleep. Somehow we always manage to keep going and you were there to accomplish a lot in a short time so you knew you had to keep going. Will be fun watching the new styles you post.

I loved this comment!! I’m not going to lie Sandy, I was weary of the cropped flare jeans too, but I got some in the mail and I love them!! They are only a slight flare-I can’t go full throttle “dome” looking pant legs 🤣. And there are some like that!! I like the midi dresses too-I was pleasantly surprised with all the trends. Khaki is huge too!! Glad you got some warmer weather!!! -single digits…yikes!!!! Have a great weekend!! Thanks for the comment -I loved it!!
