Styling a White Moto Jacket

Good morning girls! I am literally about to hop in the Jeep and head for the airport. I hate really early flights but in order to get to Market and spend a few days…I must take one for the team! LOL!! I have had loads of emails asking about the new trends coming out – stay tuned to the Instastories and you will get to see all the cool stuff!

Let’s hop right into this gorgeous white Moto Jacket I picked up at Kohls. This is one of my favorite jackets to wear and boy I have gotten my wear out of this one! I styled it today with the Slim Tie Waist Pants in Marisa Fit from LOFT. These are the Vintage Garland (Camo green is what I call them) and they come in Navy, Charcoal, and Plum. These pants tie at the waist and are slim fitting through the legs. I bought my first pair last summer and bought another pair in the charcoal later. I wore these with strappy sandals, flip-flops, booties, and sneakers. They are some of the most versatile pants I have. Get the pants HERE. I promise you will LOVE them, they fit great!

I never thought about wearing these pants with this Moto Jacket until I was in my closet and I happened to hold the jacket near the pants. That’s when I had a light bulb moment! HA! I don’t have many of those according to Barry! What does he know! Although, he is pretty fashion savvy for a guy LOL! He likes to pick on me all the time, I get him back by putting him on Facebook Lives – like waking him up out of a dead sleep LIVE! How does he live with me HA HA HA!!

Back to the jacket, this is a Faux Leather Quilted Jacket by Apt 9, and the good thing is it’s on sale for $42.49 right now. Get this jacket HERE. I have found a few others that will be in the Shop the Post LookBook below. I decided to use a black Chiffon Inset Camisole underneath. This is a high-quality camisole and every girl needs a really nice one. We all have the tanks we wear, but this one can be used to dress an outfit up or to pair it with shorts and sandals in the summer…it’s a great staple piece. This one is $59.00, but I found a really comparable camisole much cheaper HERE. Both links come in black and white.

The booties I am wearing are sold out from Steinmart, but I found some almost identical to them at DSW HERE. These are Dr. Scholl’s Parler Wedge Booties and they come in Taupe and Black. The wedge heel makes the bootie very comfortable to wear all day. I personally will not pick a boot that has a stiletto heel, my feet hurt…I’m not going to LIE! At my age, I want comfort and I look for that in the shoes that I buy. One thing I did learn when I was standing on my feet in heels all day is to wear gel inserts for the balls of my feet. These babies work and they will relieve the pressure on your feet while you are wearing high heels.
