A Spartina Hipster & Toms

Good morning ladies!! If you could hear the words I write, it would sound like Robin Williams cranking out Good Morning Vietnam! LOL I am one hyper soul, ask my husband…he will definitely confirm this! I think I’m a bit giddy because I’m jumping on a plane tomorrow morning and heading to “Hotlanta” to go to Market!

This is where businesses and boutiques go to buy the Spring merchandise for their companies. It’s going to be a lot of walking and a lot of looking. I will have the down low on all the newest trends coming in from a bird’s eye view! Eeek! I’m totally amped up for this – can you tell? LOL! ME BELOW HAHA!!!

I already know a few things that will be in style or trending; Coral – you are going to see coral everywhere! Straw purses, round purses, straw hats, mid-length dresses, and loafers…just to name a few things. Stay tuned and I will be sharing the rest in the next week or so. If you follow me on Instagram, be sure to check out my Instastory, I will be putting videos up to give you girls a look at what “Market” is. Let’s Talk OOTD!!!

I was pulling together a bunch of outfits to feature this week since I’m going to be traveling it makes it easier to have all my photos taken. So…you may see the same updo for a few days. You can catch the tutorial on the Side Messy Bun HERE.

I decided to style a beige deep V-Neck sweater today, This sweater was bought last summer, but I found some similar ones HERE. The one thing I like about the deep V-neck sweaters are the open necklines. It’s perfect for an off the shoulder look or semi-off the shoulder, depending on your own style. I styled mine with a black racerback lace bralette. I LOVE these bralettes, they have some padding in them, they come in a huge variety of colors and the price point is only $15.99 from Amazon. These run from S- XL, they are stretchy material so you have a lot of give with them. They are comfortable and there is “no falling off the shoulder” straps! We’ve all had that problem, right? Get the bralette here. (I was just thinking that a burgundy bralette would really pop with this. Check all the colors out from the link above.)

My jeans are some of my favorites, they are from American Eagle, these are High-waisted Jeggings in Cobalt Jewel. I have been wearing jeans from American Eagle for years, they are durable and they last! I’ve still got jeans from when my kids were smaller that I ended up giving to Raegan when she became a teenager. That’ how good these jeans are made. Plus they have super stretch and are super soft. You girls know I cannot stand a tight waistband, must be my age lol! I want comfort, heck…I want to feel like I’m in jogging pants every day!

I decided to show you girls two different looks with this outfit. I picked beige Toms Wedges and a pair of brown knee high boots to give you an idea of the possibilities. Looking at this picture, I’m seeing that this would look cute with leopard print shoes too! I love my Toms, but I cannot lie, I have not worn them much at all. I kept thinking I was too tall in the Toms, I’m 5’8″, but after walking around in them most of the day… I’ve been missing out. I actually walked down the hall and thought to myself, “Man, I need to wear these more often!.” In all seriousness, these were at the back of the shoe shelf in the closet and I forget to grab them, they will be moved to the front from now on though! The leather knee-high boots, well, I’ve had those for about 10 years and they still look good! I bought them from 6pm when I was in my 30’s, but I found some similar for you below.

I chose a Spartina Hipster Crossbody in the Eliza print. If you have not purchased a Spartina bag, don’t feel bad. I never heard of Spartina till last summer when I went to the Boutique to be the Marketing Director. I have grown to love the bags, the prints they are coming out with are super cute for Spring. So be on the lookout! Get the Spartina Hipster HERE.

For my jewelry, I decided to keep it simple and in the Rose Gold club! I chose the drop down Ivy Necklace from JBloom and a disc pendant that I picked up from Burkes this past summer. I have looked the internet over to find something similar that was not an outrageous price and I found a few, look in the Shop the Post window book above!

A lot of you have commented on the jewelry or are new to Jbloom Designs, so I thought I might better catch you girls up. They have a Customer Special each month and a Hostess Exclusive each month. The items they choose are always on spot! This month is the cube necklace that comes in silver, gold or rose gold and can be personalized, for only $20!!!. Customer Special is HERE. If interested in a party let me know, it only has to be $150 to get any Hostess Rewards or to get the Hostess Exclusive and can be done online, through Facebook, etc.

I’m loving the Hostess Exclusive and I will be styling that soon! Those earrings..ahhhh!! LOVE! Ok ladies, I hope you like today’s post and thanks for stopping by as always! Love all your comments!! I hear my phone beep for a comment and it’s like talking to an old girlfriend!

I love your style. Perhaps because mine is similar and I can put together similar looks. Love the Toms and the boots. Both work well. I’ve been to the Atlanta show and It is so fun. Enjoy and safe travels.

Great minds think alike!! Lol. I’m very excited!! Can’t wait to share what I see!! Tomorrow I’m styling a white leather Moto jacket. It’s very cute!!

You are so cute in this outfit…I however do not wear off the shoulder tops or wide boat neck tops for that matter as I always feel like just my neck bones are showing…ugh. Maybe ten years ago when I was younger I would have felt comfortable in them..LOL The Toms are really cute with the jeans and I have a similar pair but haven’t worn them much as I always grab my no heel shoes. Have a fun trip…we are flying out in the morning to Florida for a week for some sun, warm temps and relaxation. We are leaving single digit temps behind!!!! Wish I could wear a straw hat like that to the beach but my hair is so short that with nothing sticking out it looks pretty bad on me 😉

Oh my gosh!! Lucky you!! Wish I was going on vacation to somewhere warmer. Single digits?? Geez girl!! That’s down right cold!! Ha!! I don’t have shoulder bones anymore, well I do but they are covered with a layer of “thick skin” 🤣🤣. Enjoy your trip!!!!
