Faux Suede or Faux Leather?

Have you noticed the big trend with faux suede and faux leather this season? Today I am sharing my twist on a few of these items and I am also showing how to wear a few items in different ways to get more outfits and more bang for your buck! I am even sharing my look with faux leather pants for a comfy cozy weekend! Let me know what your thoughts are on the faux suede and faux leather trend…I would LOVE to hear it!! This is a skirt that I am seriously crushing on…I’m literally wanting to wear it every day! This faux suede shift skirt is from The Loft and it is normally $79, now on sale for only $20 using code SUPER. We have wrapped another week up and today I am sharing the most popular from the blog and all social media platforms. I love doing these posts because I love looking at all the data and seeing what interests you girls and how your style is so similar to mine. I hope you enjoy it! I had no doubt that a pair of the shorts I styled on the blog was going to make it in the Top 10, however…I had no clue the top 3 would be shorts LOL! First is the camo shorts from Walmart. These are pull-on, with a drawstring waist with pockets. These are made of cotton and have some spandex in them. These come in a huge variety of colors and patterns for only $13. See the camo shorts here. In the #2 spot is the seersucker black and white shorts from Old Navy. These are my faves girls. I love everything about these shorts. They fit well, they can be dressed ups or down, and they are only $15! I love this outfit and right now it is the most popular outfit on my Pinterest this week. I went on and on about how I liked these for walking or lounging around the house and I meant every word of it. These have stretch in them, but if you are in-between sizes, I would size up. These come in multiple colors and I am wearing a size medium for reference. These shorts have a relaxed waist, it’s not too tight and has pockets, which is a plus for me! This racerback maxi dress is not only flattering, but it is also one of the most comfortable dresses I own. I highly recommend this and if you are worried about the length, this comes in petite also. Sunday Inspiration Today I am sharing the short devotional that I read this morning. It resonated with me, and I thought some of you may enjoy it. Have a great Sunday, and thank you for taking some of your Sunday and spending it with me! XOXO Ignoring The Treasure If you knew there was a priceless treasure on your property, what would you do? Excitedly hunt and hunt until you found it, right? You’d likely give up whatever you had to in order to get the tools and time you needed to find that treasure. Jonah’s story, then, might sound strange, but it’s all-too-often true. You see, Jonah knew there was a treasure on his father’s property. His father had even given him a treasure map so he could find it. Jonah was excited at first, but he easily gave up. He went through a phase where he got busy with playing games and having a good time, forgetting about the treasure. There came a day, though, when Jonah realized he really needed money. And he had good reason! Some friends were hurting and he wanted to help them. He began occasionally asking his father for more money…all the while failing to dig for the treasure his father had already told him would be his if he just searched for it. Funnily enough, he’d go to other fields and dig there for treasure, hoping to find something. But the only thing he found was counterfeit currency. He kept tiring himself out for nothing, all the while ignoring the treasure map his father had given him. Jonah kept missing out…all because he didn’t listen to his father, following the treasure map and seeking the treasure his father had given him. And you know what? We do the same whenever we ignore God’s Word, failing to follow the “treasure map” He’s given us in the Bible and neglecting to seek knowing Him/His wisdom like we would a hidden treasure. “My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Styling Snake Print & Joggers

I bet when you read the title of this post, you were thinking…What?? I know, I was too! As you know I am doing some deep cleaning in the house (getting a head start on Spring cleaning). This outfit came to light while cleaning out my closet. I was reorganizing my shoes, gathering clothes, purses, and shoes to donate to an elderly lady that resells clothing to help give her a little more income each month. I saw these Marc Fisher Ragini Mules and tried them on while I had on these joggers. What do you know…I liked the look! So I threw on this similar cardigan to give it a “chic-er” look and headed out to this road near my house. I told you girls how my neighbors check on me, well, something else happened today. I love my joggers and I have about five pairs that I am constantly wearing. Especially here lately since I packed on some pounds since Christmas. In fact, the clothes I ordered for the blog fit a little snug so I had to send them back. So bare with me for a few weeks. I shouldn’t have eaten all those sausage balls and cookies! Sighhh! I grabbed up a lot of Athleisure wear at Walmart at the first of the year and the joggers are some of my favorite ones I have. These come in 7 different colors and are really soft. They have pockets and are a pull-on pant with an elastic waist with drawstring. The gray ones are really cute with the White and Rose Gold Sneakers I styled here. See the joggers here. I love these so much and they look so good with denim and especially black jeans. I never would have thought of putting them with joggers, but here we are and I think I like it! Another option is to add a denim jacket for a night out. Fashion is all about expressing yourself and feeling good about the clothes you are wearing. The “Cool Aunt” Outfit for Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I know we are all busy prepping for meals or getting ready for your homes to be filled with guests. Isn’t this a fun time of the year? I am linking a few dishes that will absolutely be a crowd pleaser and they are super easy! So if you’re headed to the grocery store I sure hope you read this first! I also wanted to let you girls know that you will get a few emails from me sometime Thursday that will be Gift Guides for Her, Him and maybe the “Hard to Buy For Person”, we all have someone on our lists that have everything! Since there is so many topics in this post, let’s keep it short. And…without further ado, let’s talk side dishes and the Cool Aunt outfit! One of my favorite recipes and most asked for at all family get-togethers and big dinners is the Hmmm Hmmm Good Easy Squash Casserole. Girls, this is super easy and your family will love it for Thanksgiving! See the recipe here. Another must-have side dish is Corn Pudding. Since I am considered the “cool Aunt”, well…I was when the kids were all under 13 LOL! I figured I will wear this to show those kids (who are now in their mid 20’s and early 30’s) I can still be cool…even in midlife ha! How many of us ladies out there feel 35, but we are blowing out over 50 candles on a cake?? You are only as old as you feel! Enjoy life!! Most of you know, this is my favorite leather moto jacket and I wear it all the time! With skirts, jeans, dresses, you name it and I’m grabbing it and walking out the door. This is a perfect jacket to style with a graphic tee. I loved this graphic tee from Evereve and when it went 75% off, I snatched it up fast! Styling A Striped Cardigan For Fall

Happy Monday morning! We had a relaxing weekend, but I still am going to need at least 2 cups of coffee this morning to get going, if not more LOL! Anyone else dragging? I wanted to share an outfit I purchased (duster and jeans) from an online Boutique called Tee For The Soul this past week. I recently saw an outfit on Pinterest that featured a long black and white striped duster and I loved it so much, I decided to start searching for something similar. I am sharing the extra-long duster with you today with 2 pairs of jeans. I loved the look with both jeans, but I’m curious to see which look you girls prefer! The duster runs a little big, so make sure you size down. See the exact duster I am wearing here, and I have linked similar ones below for you that prefer shorter or different material. I do have the knee-length cardigan from the Pink Lily Boutique that will be featured soon with dresses. (You will see that below with the alternatives). My jeans are from American Eagle and they are the Super High-Waisted Jeggings, these jeans wear and fit like a glove! I have quite a few pair of jeans from AE – they are my favorite store to shop for jeans. I sized up on these jeans since I do not like them super tight on me. I like them to fit, but not body sculpting LOL! I normally wear an 8 but sized up in these. Today is the last day to grab an extra 25% off your order at American Eagle, use code: GIMMEFALL. While I was browsing on Tee For The Soul, I ran across these burgundy KanCan jeans and decided to grab them too. See the jeans here and I have linked similar ones below. KanCan jeans are another brand that I style a lot on the blog. They are super comfortable and somewhat reasonable in price. Most local boutiques carry this brand, as they are VERY popular at Market in Atlanta. The jeans at TFTS are limited, so I would check them out if KanCan is what you are looking for. I am wearing the Esther gold cuff by Jbloom and a bracelet set by Crown and Ivy (I am OBSESSED with this C&I bracelet combo)! The GG inspired belt is no longer available, but here is a similar one that I just ordered! I have worn my “dupe” on the regular, plus Raegan will steal it every chance she gets and I have not had one problem with this belt. I ordered this new one since she is “borrowing” it so much. Between Raegan and Brooklyn, I lose shoes, jewelry, and clothes so much…anyone else has that problem with their daughters? I took a chance with Amazon and ordered these super cute open-toed booties and they did not disappoint. The heel is about 2 1/4 inches and they are super easy to walk in. It reminds me of Kurt Russell and Sam Elliot in Tombstone – (that is one dude movie I can watch over and over)! One thing I have noticed with the long cardigan is that it works really great as a transition piece. We all have camis and you can throw one up under it and go. Now Look If it’s still warm where you live, a kimono will be perfect with your weather until it gets cooler. I styled Raegan’s kimono with the AE denim jeans, it would have easily gone with the burgundy jeans also. Mix and match textures, colors and prints! Have fun with your wardrobe!
