The “Cool Aunt” Outfit for Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! I know we are all busy prepping for meals or getting ready for your homes to be filled with guests. Isn’t this a fun time of the year? I am linking a few dishes that will absolutely be a crowd pleaser and they are super easy! So if you’re headed to the grocery store I sure hope you read this first!

I also wanted to let you girls know that you will get a few emails from me sometime Thursday that will be Gift Guides for Her, Him and maybe the “Hard to Buy For Person”, we all have someone on our lists that have everything! Since there is so many topics in this post, let’s keep it short. And…without further ado, let’s talk side dishes and the Cool Aunt outfit!

One of my favorite recipes and most asked for at all family get-togethers and big dinners is the Hmmm Hmmm Good Easy Squash Casserole. Girls, this is super easy and your family will love it for Thanksgiving! See the recipe here.

Another must-have side dish is Corn Pudding. It’s SUPER easy (you know I only like easy recipes lol) and it makes a good size dish for a larger get-together. See the recipe here.

The Outfit I’m Wearing Thanksgiving Day!

Since I am considered the “cool Aunt”, well…I was when the kids were all under 13 LOL! I figured I will wear this to show those kids (who are now in their mid 20’s and early 30’s) I can still be cool…even in midlife ha! How many of us ladies out there feel 35, but we are blowing out over 50 candles on a cake?? You are only as old as you feel! Enjoy life!!

Most of you know, this is my favorite leather moto jacket and I wear it all the time! With skirts, jeans, dresses, you name it and I’m grabbing it and walking out the door. This is a perfect jacket to style with a graphic tee.

I loved this graphic tee from Evereve and when it went 75% off, I snatched it up fast! These are limited, in fact, I purchased a size too large just because it was such a great deal. I am linking more graphic tees below for you too!

I posted this picture to see if you girls can tell I cut a couple inches off my hair? I’m getting those bangs grown out and this is one of the fastest ways!

While I was at Belk trying on all those clothes, I decided to look at the boots. These Crown and Ivy cognac boots and perfect for an everyday look, plus they are only $39.99 right now! They have about an inch heel and it comes in black too! See them here.

The jeans I am wearing have become my favorite jeans, these are the Madewell High Rise Button-Up Jeans and talk about comfortable! My first pair of jeans over $100 and if you ask me if I would buy another pair…the answer is…I have a black pair coming on Friday. Yes – they are worth it, the fit is perfect girls! See them here. You can visit Madewell and use AfterPay and split your payments up – heck yeah!

Cute Outfit Beverly. I really like your boots…..great color. Your new haircut looks beautiful. Thank you for the recipes. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. ~Lisa~

Your hair cut looks great…hope Barry was ok with it to 😉 They are clearing roads and highways here this morning so we will make a decision at noon whether the kids will be able to travel to get here. My fingers are crossed so I think I’m going to proceed with getting food ready. We have corn every time our kids are home but they prefer just the fresh sweet corn from the freezer with butter on it so I have to wait for corn casseroles when we go to someone else’s house. And…you definitely ARE the “cool” aunt 🙂 Have a great time at your brothers tomorrow and Happy Thanksgiving. Oh…you and Kelly are welcome to bring your sleds to my house if you want to play in the snow !

Lol!! I wish I could come over and sled!! All those states between us are a Debbie Downer, keeping me from living my best life 😂😂. Thanks Sandy-so sweet of you, I was the youngest Aunt so I was out playing a lot with the kids. They’ve all grown up now. Sighhh!! Brooklyn is gone to Disney World for her birthday that’s tomorrow, so I’m really missing her! Hope the roads get clear and the kids get to come over. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Love the outfit and the haircut! Sandy if I lived closer I would be there in a heartbeat to do some sledding 🙂
