Lord, it sounds good to say it and think it! What a week and boy I am ready for the weekend! I was out running errands the other day and decided to stop quickly at Belk and see if anything new was in and I found quite a bit. Now that they have moved most of the older stuff out, shopping is SO much better. Most of these items are on sale and make sure you use code LOVESAVING!! Be sure to check out Kilo below also! This Crown and Ivy chambray buttondown comes in 3 shades (this is the darkest) and I certainly liked it a lot better than mine from ON! It does fit a little snug, so I would size up. I am wearing a medium but would prefer it to be a tad bigger for me. It felt snug in the shoulders although that could be those 8 lbs I gained during the holidays too (just kidding – size up lol). Check it out with the sherpa vest below! See the shirt here. Out of all the outfits, this was my favorite! I rarely wear denim on denim but after putting this one together – I think I will start! I love this Crown and Ivy Sherpa Vest and it goes perfect with my boots! This sherpa vest is on sale for under $28 – with code: LOVESAVING. This vest comes in 8 different color combos and is super soft. Who doesn’t like sherpa? Plus, this is a great color to wear with other sweaters and shirts. I really like it with the chambray though! See the vest here. Fits TTS and I’m wearing a medium. I’m a lover of green if you haven’t noticed (lol), and this pullover called my name from across the store! This is another Crown and Ivy top and it’s on sale for under $29 with code LOVESAVING. This comes in baby blue and white also. It’s a terrycloth pullover and very soft. Fits TTS and I’m wearing a medium. See it here. I wanted to try on some thinner spring sweaters (yep, they are already out!) and I am thinking pastels are going to be popular this Spring. This baby blue New Directions sweater has a hi-lo hemline with a v-neck. It is really soft and will be something I could wear now and later – even through the Summer to wear on the beach later at night with shorts. This comes in a darker blue, beige, and black and it’s under $14 with code LOVESAVING! See it here. This fits a little big, but it’s supposed to have the slouchy look. Size down if you don’t like that look. I am wearing a medium. Another thin sweater is this tie-dyed cutie! This is also under $14 with code: LOVESAVING and comes in a gorgeous azure blue. This fits more fitted than the blue sweater above. I am wearing a medium and it fits TTS. See it here. This cute Cupio Knit shirt is sooo cute! The pictures really do not do it justice, it is so comfortable and can be used if you like to layer. Layer it under a buttondown shirt, vest or jacket. This is another great top that can be worn straight through until the summer. Gosh, I cannot believe I am even mentioning summer! I wear a lot of long sleeve tops with shorts in the Spring and Summer, so this is a perfect buy for me. It fits TTS, it’s not fitted, so if you like it tighter then I would size down. It’s under $28 with code LOVESAVING! See it here. This is a super cute sweater, but warning – the sleeves are long! They are bell sleeves so they kind of drape on your hands. Nonetheless, there was something I liked about the sweater. Maybe the different patterns and the gorgeous color! It does fit TTS and I am wearing a medium. You can stretch this material out, but looking at it hanging on the rack it looks super snug and skinny. It does not fit that way when you try it on, it fits normal. This comes in a gorgeous moss color and white, see the sweater here. This is on sale for under $38 with the same code LOVESAVING. I loved this Crown and Ivy striped sweater, the neck on this is so cute! I like the stripes, the colors, the sleeves – this is a great sweater for work or play. It fits TTS, I am wearing a medium and it goes perfect with my earrings! This also comes in white with navy stripes which is a great classic look. Use the same code to get this under $32! See it here. This last sweater was the first item I picked up. It was new in the store and obviously going to be popular since it was upfront at the door. Some days or weeks, you kind of like wearing clothes that are loose and perfect for curling up on the couch and kicking back. Even though I love a casual outfit, I will try to make an outfit out of something even if it’s sweats – well most of the time. It seems like last week was a very casual week for me, except when Brooklyn picked out the outfit. Check out her skills below! It’s been really rainy here lately and when it’s raining, I find myself throwing on comfy clothes because getting “dressed up” isn’t fun when it rains daily. I love this Pullover Hoodie, for the price and the pretty purple colorblock. I started buying up a few “active” clothes for my big New Year’s Resolution – getting back in the gym. I have really failed in this area, so come Jan. 1st, I’m back on it! Outfit Details: // Hoodie // AE Jegging Jeans // Sneakers I’m all about a good pair of joggers and a comfy sweatshirt. I found this sweatshirt for under $10, see it here. I paired it with a pair of Lou and Grey Slouchy Joggers that are incredibly soft! The inseam on these is 31 1/2 inches. If you like super soft sweatpants the Lou and Grey brand from The Loft is top-notch in the comfy and cozy category. These sweatpants are an alternative if joggers aren’t your thing. You girls know I am a Goldendoodle mom to Princess Ziva, so I am all things dogs! I showed this sweater in a post over the weekend but decided to show you how I styled it while hanging around the house. There are so many options with these sweaters if you size down. I purchased mine online and they do run large, so size down! (I ordered a Medium and normally wear a medium- you can see how much room I have) I have a slouchy comfortable look going on! LOL If I had sized down I could wear this with a pair of cute slacks or ankle jeans and boots. This is a great sweater that can be worn through the winter, isn’t he cute? See the sweater here. Outfit Details: // Sweater // Jeans // Boots I snapped this picture on the way out the door on a rainy and cold day, so I wrapped this LC scarf around this Cable-Knit Crewneck Sweater. When I worked at the bank it would be super cold in the offices in the winter, so I would wear an infinity scarf all day long to keep me warm – it seemed to work. Does anyone else have any tips on keeping warm? Outfit Details: // Sweater // Scarf // AE Jeans // Boots On my day with Brooklyn, we headed out all gussied up! She is a BLING BLING little girl, loves all things shiny and sparkly. She channels her inner Dolly Parton daily! So she helped pick out my outfit. Outfit Details: // Jacket // Tee (similar) // Skirt // Boots Have you ever wondered what I did while I was in Fashion? I was a Store Manager, an Area Trainer, and an Area Visual Artist. In other words, I put outfits together like the ones below. I loved working a floor move and taking down a wall and fixing it back up. It was so much fun for me! At times I can’t believe I traded all that fun in just to go back to college in my 30’s??? LOL! Fun Colors & Trends Don’t these colors look merry and bright? I like the green on green with the denim and the duck boots really make this outfit pop. Outfit Details: // Vest // Sweater // Jeans // Boots We have quite a few different brands of rain boots here and these Tommy Hilfiger boots may be coming also. I saw these in the store a while back and almost bought them, aren’t they cute with the slouchy socks? I love bright colors, but it seems when I look in my closet I see the same old thing. Anyone else feel like that? I really liked these outfits!! The colors are fun, they coordinate well together, and it’s something different. (Not the same old thing)! If you do…I think we could be great friends lol! Let’s get right to it this week! What were the most favorite items of last week? Some are new and some older ones are making a comeback! Are our favorites, booties, tops, jeans, or something totally different like home decor? Let’s see… 1. Marc New York Slimming Puffer Jacket This jacket stole the week! It is a great price point for a jacket that slims you, plus it’s super cozy and warm. That detachable hood is a winner too! 2. Long Sleeve Animal Print Sweater by New Direction This cute sweater is not letting go of the Top 10 spot, it has been holding on for months! And let’s be honest…it is a cute sweater for work or play! 3. Oversized Cable Sweater from Target This chunky oversized sweater really made an impact last week, here is how I styled it on a rainy day. Those gray Sperry boots came in handy with all the rain and muck! 4. Mixed Media Blouse from The Loft Outlet This blouse was featured in A Loft Try-On Haul and I think everyone loved the gorgeous gem colors that were featured. This top was one of my faves and it seems it was yours too! 5. Lara Booties from Belk These have definitely been worn since I purchased these. I love the shaft is a little higher than the average bootie. It looks great with jeans and leggings! This has been featured in a few blog posts, but the most popular is What I Wore, featuring the camo cowl neck that has been so popular. 6. Farmhouse Christmas Ring Skirt/Collar I showed a few pictures of my “Chic Corner” and one of our Christmas trees with a Farmhouse Ring or Collar underneath. Everyone LOVED this and it came in at #6 this week!! See the post that shares more details on the tree here. 7. Leopard Print Pocket Shirt by The Loft Outlet This was also featured in the Loft Try-On Haul, this blouse really catches the eye! While I was in the store, they were already getting low on inventory and it just came in. Super cute! 8. Buffalo Plaid Tie Shawl This cute winter shawl/wrap was super popular and it was never featured on the blog. It was in one of the daily emails, while I was shouting out Things I’m Liking! And I think a lot of you girls were liking it too! 9. Sonoma Olive Plaid Shirt I wore it with the Puffer jacket but forgot to take a picture of it. Later this week, I actually styled it like this (see below). Outfit Details // Plaid Shirt // Joggers // Fur Mules // Fedora Hat // (Don’t mind all that mess – Brooklyn came and dropped a load of stuff lol) 10. Button-Tie Front Top from The Loft Outlet Another blouse that was in the Loft Try-On Haul, isn’t this color gorgeous? Since I showed a little of What I Wore, I will finish it out with a few more for you girls. This sweater was purchased at my local Walmart, it has sold out online. Outfit Details // Infinity Scarf // Corduroy High Rise Skinny Cords // Sam Edelman Kinzy Boots The gray sweater is a tunic sweater that I have tucked in the front only, it’s from Amazon and I really like the fit and feel.
