Top Faves Of The Week + Sunday Inspiration

Another week has wrapped up, and I’m sharing the Top Faves from the blog and social media. Some items I knew would be popular, and some items surprised me that they moved to the top so fast. What I do know…you girls love a great sale as much as I do, HA! My Sunday Inspiration section is at the bottom of the post for those that like to read the devotionals I share. Happy Sunday, ladies!

This Smocked Cuff Portofino Shirt from Express was the #1 item in the past few weeks. I absolutely love this blouse, intact, I told you that I ordered 2 more colors to add to my wardrobe. These are on sale for 50% off and comes in multiple colors. See the blouse here.

My favorite vest by Croft & Barrow has been on sale since Black Friday and made it to the #2 spot. This comes in various sizes, patterns, and colors, and right now, they are on sale for less than $17. I love these vests because they are not puffy or bunchy, they lay flat to your body and give you warmth without wearing a heavy coat. It’s a great layering piece, and at this price, it’s super affordable! See all the vests here.

This Turtleneck Pullover Sweater has been a favorite of yours and mine! I have this in beige and blue, what can I say…if I love something, I buy multiple colors, lol! These are still on sale for only $14 and are available in 4 more colors. This fits TTS and has stretch in the material for comfort. It also wears great with a blazer if you like that vibe. See the sweaters here.

The Tessie Sherpa Hiking Boot has also been a favorite, I have had mine for over a year, and they wear awesome. These come in white and black, but they are getting limited in sizes. See the Tessie boot here. If you like this style of boot for the winter, you may be interested in the Walmart version. I recently bought the black and have been styling it with leggings a lot this week. With all the cakes, cookies, and pies I have been eating, leggings are becoming my besties! Walmart: // white boot // black boot // brown boot

The Leopard Print Mock Neck Top from Loft Outlet is crazy popular! This is a perfect layering piece for under sweaters, blazers, or cardigans. Style it with jeans or skirts for a flattering casual or work outfit. It’s on sale for 60% off and is only $16! Spend$75 and get an extra $10 off your order. See the mock neck here.

This Crewneck Pullover is one that I have been wearing the past few weeks also. I love styling this with a button-down underneath for a classic look. It’s gorgeous with a light chambray shirt underneath if you are looking for ideas. This is on sale for $14, Fits TTS, and comes in multiple colors and patterns. See it here.

You girls have been seeing me wearing this combo for a few weeks now, and that would be because I am totally crushing over this necklace duo. The link necklace is a lighter version of a few others I have and perfect for an everyday link chain and comes in at #7. The length is 17-inches, but you can use an extender and drop it a few more inches. See the Link Chain here, Initial necklace here, and the extenders here.

The Brushed Knit Blazer from Banana Republic Factory is probably my favorite purchase from the Black Friday sales. This has been my go-to jacket for jeans, dress pants, and I even styled it with joggers and sneakers with a black mock neck top. It’s perfect for nearly any occasion and the fit is amazing! I told you that I purchased the burgundy color also and I’m sure I will love styling that with jeans, khaki ankle pants, or white jeans. This fit TTS and I give this one 2 thumbs up! It’s 60% off and is only $31. See the blazers here.

The Winter Fair Isle Yoke Sweater from Talbot’s is coming in at #9 this week. I love a fair isle sweater, and this is an exceptionally made sweater. This is 40% off and Fits TTS. This is a sweater that can be worn through the holidays and the rest of the winter season. Nothing screams winter like the Fair Isle print. I’ve tried many this season, and so far, this is my favorite. See the sweater here.

Coming in at #10 is the Time and Tru V-Neck Sweater priced at under $14! When I bought this sweater, I purchased it online and purchased a few colors to try. I ended up keeping the black, red, and burgundy. Why? These are perfect for an everyday outfit, it fits great (they run a little large, I sized down in a few) and they are perfect to wear with leggings and slouchy socks for around the house. You just can’t beat $14! These come in 6 colors, see the sweater here. Wash tip: I like to wash my more affordable pieces with Woolite on the gentle cycle and hang them to dry, it keeps them looking brand new

Sunday Inspiration

Today I am sharing a short story devotional that I read this week, which resonates with me in many ways. We push away the very things that can help us at times, and running from conviction is one of them. I have learned over the years to rely totally on the Lord, no matter how big or small the situation or problem. I am not alone; he walks right beside me and knows what I will face long before I do. We let the physical “man” hold us back from the love, peace, and joy we could be experiencing. Pride, the fear of failing, and sometimes is plain rebellion. I hope this encourages someone today. Stay safe my lovely friends and be blessed! Have a wonderful Sunday from all of us here at the Hoyle home. XOXO

“But I don’t want to change,” Deborah repeated for what must have been the fifteenth time that afternoon. For years, Deborah had lived the life of a pauper. The open sky had been her shelter; the generosity of passerby’s her income. Now her father stood before her, offering her what he had offered her every day of her life—to give her a new life with him.

“But, Deborah, why would you insist on clinging to your pauper ways when I offer you a way of escape?”

Deborah could hear the pain in her father’s voice. Nevertheless, she stubbornly shook her head and replied, “I don’t want to change,” she repeated again. “I like the way things are.”

“But just last week, you complained about how you went to bed hungry. And don’t you remember how miserable life can be in the rain?”

Deborah paused as she contemplated these points. It was true. Life could get very miserable out on the streets. But give up the life she’d known? Oh, no, that she could never do! She would much rather go on complaining, even while ignoring the solution to her complaints.

“I can’t change, Father,” Deborah argued. “I’m too set in my ways. It’s just a hopeless case. I tried a few months back to give up this life, remember? And the very first day I was back on the streets! I just can’t help it!”

“Oh, but you could! I would help you! You could come live with me. I would give you other things to do besides aimlessly roaming the streets in this fashion. We could have so much fun together! Oh, do come!” Deborah’s father reached out his hand as if to invite her to join him in happiness.

Deborah shook her head. “I just can’t change,” she repeated.

“You can’t, or you won’t?” The question was made in a voice barely above a whisper. Deborah made no reply. She simply turned and walked down the street to continue her self-imposed miserable life.

Deborah’s father forced back the tears as he watched his daughter leave. He slowly turned and walked away. He would come back again tomorrow. Maybe then his daughter would be ready to accept his gift of love.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Good Morning Beverly. I wanted that blouse from express in the green so bad and my size has sold out. 😞 Oh well other amazing outfits you styled are still up for grabs. Thank you for sharing and thank you for the devotional. It can encourage many people in many different ways. Have a wonderful day and will continue to pray about the leak in your house. Take care ♥️

I’m always amazed at how people can turn down eternal life for the few years we have here on ths Earth. My neice, now in her thirties, a believer all her life, moved to NY, rejected God and married a woman. I pray she will return but they are adopting children. This story reminds me of her.
