Weekend Recap + Sandals You Are Going To Want

Happy Sunday morning girls! It sure feels like this weekend has slipped by so quickly. I have tried to occupy my time on romantic comedies and forget about the world. If you haven’t seen The Wedding Date, put it on your binge list! I have not seen it in since it first came out and decided to give it a whirl. Needless to say, I watched it 3 times this weekend…I’m a sucker for love stories! My mind drifts off into la-la land and I find myself smiling or crying during a really good one. Can anyone else relate?

As I binged all kinds of romantic movies, it reminded me of the most powerful thing in this world. Love. Love covers a multitude of sins and conquers all. Kind of like Ziva, our golden doodle…she is nothing. but a love bug. No matter how we act, if we are in bad moods, sick, or playful, she is always there wagging that fluffy little tail with lots of hugs and kisses. And if I haven’t told you, she hugs like humans – arms and all ha!

Brooklyn was with us this weekend with her peppy and charismatic self. Raegan and her rode on the golf cart through the neighborhood, chilled out by the patio watching Netflix, painting toes, and painting pictures. Both Raegan (my 20-year-old) and Brooklyn (5-year-old granddaughter) are two of a kind. They are both very creative and love anything that has to do with flowers. They are now growing our own herbs, this will be interesting since Raegan is starting to cook for the family.

Grandma did the cooking for breakfast and as you can see I did an outstanding job fixing Cap’n Crunch HA! In all fairness, that is her favorite cereal. Let’s not forget Barry, more commonly known as Pa-Pa. Since he has been diagnosed with mononucleosis also, he is milking this for everything he can, however, he did mow the lawn and weed-eat the trim. He did give Brooklyn a ride on the lawnmower, which made her smile from ear to ear. Or as we like to say “she smiled so hard she got chapstick on her ears”. See below!

On the fashion side of things, I am going to share a pair of sandals that I am loving! These are from JustFab and are comfortable, cute, and most of all sexy but classy. I was wearing the white eyelet dress from yesterday’s post (see the dress here) and added these sandals for a cute look. The heel is about 2 inches and they fit TTS. Wouldn’t these look great with cropped jeans for the summer? See the sandals here.

I hope you girls have a great Sunday and thanks so much for stopping by the blog. Sometimes we need to get away from everything and focus on ourselves at times. I thought I would share a little of our weekend, especially since I am supposed to be “taking it easy” to share with you how boring our lives are. HA! What was your weekend like?

1 Peter 4:8: “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 23. John 15:12: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

Have a blessed day! XOXO

I always love seeing your beautiful family including that sweet pup, Ziva! Sorry to hear that Barry has it too but I am glad that you are both recouping. This weekend has been a very difficult one for me. I received a call from my best friend in N.H., her name is Sandy. We have been friends since we were kids and she and her siblings are the brothers and sister that I never had biologically. Her younger brother, Johnny passed away unexpectedly on Friday. He was 57 years old. He and his wife live about 3 1/2 hours from us in the N.W. part of Georgia. We will be attending his funeral next Saturday and I have nothing to wear that is appropriate. Troy and I are going shopping this afternoon. I am not sure how that will work out since I won’t be able to try anything on and I don’t have a lot of time to do returns and look again so please send up a prayer for me that I can easily find something today. Hug your family members a little bit tighter and longer cause we just never know when it will be our time to go.
