What I’ve Worn Lately: Fashion Over 40

Every now and then I try to gather some of the outfits that I have been wearing lately that don’t make the blog. Hopefully, seeing other ways I style the items you see on the blog will give you a little outfit inspiration on other options on how to wear some of the items. Hope you enjoy!

It gets very humid in NC in the summer so dressing to stay cool is a must. These Mid-Rise Soft Pull-On Cargo Pants are cute and comfortable for the warmer days. These fit TTS, cargo style, come in multiple color options, and feel so soft on! I am wearing the color Moon Door and a size medium. This is a cute pant to wear with a cardigan or a cute denim shirt, whether you style it with chunky sandals or flip flops. Outfit Details: // Cardigan // Camisole // Cargo Pants // Sandals (similar)

I have styled this cute Shirred V-Back Shell before on the blog and love it! It has a cute v-back and hits right at your hips. I paired it with a kimono and Distressed Rockstar Jeans. These jeans are SUPER comfortable and fit TTS. the distressing is just enough to look trendy but doesn’t show any skin like most jeans do. I am wearing a medium in the top and a size 10 in the Super Skinny Jeans. Outfit Details: // Tank // Kimono (similar) // Jeans // Wedge Sandals

This blouse is one of the most popular items of May and I am still styling this cutie and today it’s with these cute white chambray distressed pants. These pants are something to talk about girls! These pants are soft cotton, kind of like cargo pants, distressed look, tie at the waist, and can be cuffed for a look that’s all you! These fit TTS, I am wearing a medium and these come in a few other color options. These are a perfect pant for summer and are super cute and different! Are you ready for a holiday? I know I am and I am a lover of the 4th of July! I love the American theme, the fireworks, the hamburgers, the pool time—sighhh! I love it all, probably because that was the week I would take my kids on vacation to the beach when they were smaller. We don’t go that week anymore and I sure miss going, but kids grow up and start doing their own thing. So now we celebrate at home or with my family. I picked this American Flag tee up at Walmart for $5 and paired it with distressed jeans and white sneakers. I’m linking more options for tees below. Last, but certainly, not least is a dress that I have fell in love with. This is a Time and Tru Floral Wrap Midi-Dress with a hi-lo hem. Girls–I’ve been telling you that Walmart has certainly stepped up their fashion and this dress is 100%! I styled it with light linen sandals, but would certainly look cute with a great pair of black pumps or strappy heels. This fits TTS, under $25 and comes in multiple colors. I am wearing a medium for reference. Outfit Details: // Dress // Sandals

    Oh goodness Beverly….I hope you get some much needed rest this weekend and completely heal. I am hyper as well. I have several faves today. These are in no particular order. I like the coral or red cardigan, the kimono and the floral dress is gorgeous on you. Enjoy this weekend to chill.

    I’m new to your blog. I love looking at all your outfits! You do a great job. I’m sure I’ve just missed it somewhere but for reference what is your height? It’s the only way I can tell if shirts will be too short for me. Thanks!

      Welcome Michelle!! I’m so glad you like the blog ❤️ I’m 5’7, my torso is not long kind of average. I normally buy everything in normal height or size ranges. Every now and then I will buy a tall in pants when I want to have a good cuff. Thanks for commenting!! Can’t wait to get to know you 💕

    Hi Beverly,

    Love the outfits! I am interested in the tiered bell sleeve top from the Loft that you are wearing with the distressed pants form Aerie. What size are you wearing in the top? Some of their tops run big & I need to size down to a XS, or they end up much to low in the front! 🙁

      Mine is a medium. I typically wear a medium in their tops. They do run a tad big sometimes, or at least it feels like that lol. You will love it!! I get compliments on it a lot. Happy Sunday and thank you sweetie!!!❤️
