2 Summer Chic Outfits

How often do we stand in our closets, stare at all the clothes hanging up and think…”what in the world am I going to wear? I have nothing!” We all have been there and I am sharing a few classics that I have been wearing on the weekends when I need a quick outfit that looks cute and pulled together. The look of black and khaki is always a great choice when in doubt, it’s simple, chic, and a total classic for women of all ages. Pull it together with a little animal print (see belt here) and a cute pair of wedges to look casual chic for any get-together.

The blouse I have on is from NY&CO, fits TTS, has great stretch, and is fitted. I sized up for a more laid back look, plus if you have a little more padding in the torso, sizing up with a half-tuck can slim you down. The shorts have a perfect 5-inch hem, have some stretch in them, and are among the most popular shorts at Old Navy. I have 4 pairs of these and love them! The wedge heels are a perfect shoe for Summer fun! These are the Abella Taya Wedge Sandal and are on sale for only $19.99! These come in black, tan, and a cute white leather. See them here. Shop the entire look below.

Another item that is becoming a classic for the Spring and Summer is a simple romper. I have found the perfect black knit romper that I am loving and obsessing over. This romper was one of the most popular items on my Liketoknow.it page over the weekend and for good reason. This can easily be dressed up with a kimono like the one I have on and a pair of flat sandals or a cute heel. Try a longer duster or kimono if you want to be a little sassy! The romper is soft and stretchy with a round neck, Fits TTS (I am wearing a medium for reference), and the shorts hit about mid-thigh. Wouldn’t this romper look cute with the wedges in the picture above and a cute leopard print long duster? Add some jewelry, throw your hair up in a messy bun and you will look like you spent all day getting ready! Shop this look below.

Do you prefer flat sandals or wedges with shorts when going out to eat?

Good morning! Cute outfits and I like the wedges in the first outfit. I am venturing out today to get a much needed hair cut, yay! The salon that I go to takes your temperature at the door and you have to sign a waiver that you nor anyone in your household have been sick recently etc. I got my hair cut very short just before the lock down in preparation for the Georgia summer heat and now need hair trims more often. It is very doubtful that I will be returning to work as I really need to work on strengthening my immune system and I am just plain tired of getting sick all of the time. I would like to find some part time work from home or someplace that I will no be subjected to sick people all of the time. I am so happy for you that you had an enjoyable birthday weekend. Today is Troy’s birthday. I got up and made him some blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I will make chicken fajitas for his dinner and already made some Lemonade pie for his dessert. We can’t really go much of anywhere to celebrate so I am making some of his favorite food. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Happy Birthday Troy!! He’s a May baby too lol 😂 I like your new haircut-looks so pretty on you. They haven’t opened up salons here yet, but I bet they will be very busy when they do. Sounds like you really are treating your husband right on his big day!! You make me look bad lol!! I am really loving those wedges too btw!! Hope you had a great time getting out and maybe you will find something part time soon. I was overwhelmed at first when I took this job, then the Covid hit and I really got swamped. Things are starting to run normal but not quite laid back yet. Hope you and Troy have a great day!

I’m so glad you had a great birthday Beverly!!!! The kimono is definitely got that summer vibe. How do you like these cooler temps in NC? The wind was rough today…I look like Mary Poppins with my umbrella when I went out to lunch today…☔️. It is supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow. Hopefully after this cold snap, we will be back to the warmer temps. ~🦋Lisa🦋~

Hoping for a warmer weekend so I can get outside and snap some colorful pics for the blog. I’m getting a visual of you and your umbrella lol!! Happy Tuesday ❤️❤️❤️
