Favorite Fall Shoe Trends – Sneak Peek Into What I’m Seeing

Good morning lovelies!! This past weekend has been fun, busy and draining. I have been trying to get all my blogs scheduled and get back to doing makeup and hair tutorials, things are coming together – so you will see new ones soon! Hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Holiday, we stayed home and worked lol. We had Brooklyn this weekend and she was a joy to have around. It’s so much easier to spoil a grandchild than your own child. I don’t ever want to tell her no, that’s her mom and dad’s job. HA!!

I started writing out my blogs about all the things I have seen and been privy to working in the fashion industry, so I’m giving you girls the low down on every aspect of what’s coming for Fall. Plus, I’m trying to find cute and inexpensive items (or similar items) to post so you want have to run around to find these items. They will be right here, just a click away on my blogs. So let’s start this Fall Blog…

With Fall nearly here, (Insert a high five here), you’re probably ready to break out your favorite sweaters, jeans, and jackets. If your closet is in need of a style revamp, just look to the Fall fashion trendsthat designers, bloggers, and street style stars have already embraced. The best part? All of the season’s biggest trends are not only stylish and fashion-forward but super flattering and easy to pull off, too.

So, today we are going to start with shoes – (my obsession lol) this Fall season has a footwear collection of soft suede booties, classic flats, pointy pumps and street smart tennies. So let’s start here!

THE MODERN BALLET FLAT

The precious and flattering for all of us – that ballet flat. A classic closet staple, these sweet soles sport a thin heel, making them stylishly comfortable and perfect for bopping around town, to work, to dinner––really, pretty much anywhere. We love them paired with a mini skirt, short dress or capris to give the illusion of longer legs. For fall, look for suede or leather in autumn hues and darling touches, like scalloped edges.

THE  LOAFER- A TIMELESS SHOE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE TRENDING

Slide on a pair of preppy loafers and whoa, you have instant smart-casual outfit gratification. They are showing up in a variety of prints, patterns and tasseled toppers appearing everywhere this season. If you’re headed to the office, pair a pencil skirt with polished leather loafers. Girls’ night out? Mix it up, and go for an edgier vibe with ripped skinnies in a dark wash, a leather moto and a classic plaid loafer. Or kick back in boyfriend jeans and a white button-down. Roll those jeans up and you will look too cute!!

THE CLASSY HEEL

Heels can turn a blah look into a “Hello, here I am!” ensemble. Pair a tailored LBD ( Little Black Dress) with an animal-print pump, and you can take a walk on the wild side without falling into the “What was she thinking?” black hole. If you’re not afraid of heights, a stiletto is a cute choice to wear with a pair of skinny jeans. Pick a vibrant shade, such as fuscia, don’t be afraid of color -it will give you a long leg line and you’ll be rocking it!!

THE BELOVED ANKLE BOOTIE

The ever-versatile ankle bootie with its slew of different heel heights and toe box shapes is a must-have for fall. The beauty of this bootie is that it can literally go with just about any outfit. Generally, however, the higher the heel, the dressier the look. Team an A-line over the knee dress and opaque tights with your booties and you will be rocking a Fall Trend (pair it with a long cardigan and you will be on point! We love to pair distressed denim with a low heeled bootie in a fall-icious shade that whispers “you’ve got this.” Check out my blog Outfit Ideas and Favorite Booties for Fall 2018 to see a range of cute booties that are affordable. THE REWORKED RAIN BOOT

While practical, rain boots can also add panache ( I used a fancy word -lol) to your wet weather wardrobe. This season I’m  loving looks that are more or less a mix between a traditional LL Bean and cross it with a high top tennis shoe, and you get the picture. These looks are cute enough to wear with a mini skirt and leggings; low-key enough to pair with jeans and a slicker, yet still offer plenty of puddle protection. I purchased a pair last year and I swear I wore them almost every day. They wear so comfortable and look really cute with jeans too!

THE CASUAL KICK (WITH CHARACTER)

Snazzy sneakers are making an appearance on streets everywhere. Whether embellished with studs, crystals or embroidery, these go-getters are a must-have for fall. You can pair them with flirty skirts as a sporty alternative to ballet flats or with jeans and a tee to add personality to an otherwise basic ensemble. Rule of thumb: Just. Have. Fun.
