Affordable Now & Later Outfits To Try

As it’s warming up in some places and spring fashion is starting to drop in stores, I thought I would share some outfits that can be worn now and later. Transitioning into different seasons can always be a headache, but it can also be a time to refresh your wardrobe a little early. I am sharing more looks with some items from yesterday’s post, you can read that here if you missed it, to give you more inspiration. I am also sharing a few items I recently picked up at Banana Republic Factory that are 50% off and if you are a BR Rewards Customer, you can get an extra 15% off with BRREWARDS.

I shared the puffed sleeve tee yesterday, so I wanted to show you how I wore it this week. I styled it with a cute mock neck sweater vest with my faux leather joggers and Steve Madden Forte mules. If faux leather is not your thing, scroll down to see it with jeans and a blazer. I love this sweater because it is very lightweight, easy to layer with long sleeves or short sleeves, or alone, and it will transition into spring with shorts or jeans. See the mock neck sweater here.

Here is a closer look at the sweater vest I am wearing. this comes in multiple colors and fits TTS. I am wearing a large for reference. Plus, it’s on sale for $20! See the vest here.

Here is a closer look at the crossbody I am currently wearing and pictured above. This was an Amazon Find that I’m crushing on because this one comes with 2 different strap options. I can wear it with the guitar strap or the leather and chain strap for dressier outfits. I love my bigger handbags, but when I’m out grocery shopping or running errands, I am wanting something that’s smaller, lightweight, and can be worn as a crossbody so it stays out of my way, and is still secure to my body. This comes in more color options, you can check them out here. *I show how you can wear it with both straps in the picture below.

I styled the mock neck sweater vest with my Scoop Blazer from Walmart with Express jeans and boots from Target, and they are now on clearance!

Remember the cute blouse from yesterday’s post? I’m bringing it back to show it with the light wash straight jeans from Banana Republic Factory. I ordered a tall inseam by accident, as I normally wear a regular inseam, so be sure to check which inseam you prefer; they come in petite, regular, and tall. These jeans are relaxed and straight through the legs, but fit snugger through the waist area. See the jeans here, use code BRREWARDS for extra savings. I found similar jeans from Old Navy that are 30% off with a raw hem, you can see those here.

Many of you love a cardigan and you are not alone! I found this pearl cardigan from Amazon and love the pearl detail on the sleeves! this comes in more color options and fits TTS. This is a cute option for work or weekend outfits that is chic and stylish. I am wearing a large for reference, you can see the cardigan here. My camisole is from Banana Republic Factory and is 50% off this week. the camisole comes in a pretty blush pink also and fits TTS. I am wearing a large in the camisole and the straps are adjustable. See the camisole here.

Faux leather joggers are still trending, so I thought I would show this outfit with my Spanx joggers for a casual chic outfit. See the joggers here. These joggers are by far the most comfortable I have tried and they really do hold you in your tummy, which is fabulous! LOL! I did find a more affordable pair you may like here that are by The Limited and are a Doorbuster at Belk this week. *wearing a medium in regular length in the Spanx joggers

Cardigan // Camisole // Spanx Joggers (more affordable option here) // Mules // Necklace

I am a fan of stripes it seems, and I couldn’t resist this striped raglan sweater from Banana Republic Factory. The sweater also comes in white with black stripes and is 50% off right now. This is a lightweight sweater that would work great with dress pants or style it with twills or jeans like I did. Get an extra 15% off your BRF order if you are a rewards member with code BRREWARDS. See the sweater here. I am wearing a large for reference.

These distressed boyfriend shorts were among the most popular last year and they are on sale for only $14. These shorts have a lot of stretch in them, and I wore them on repeat last summer and will be doing the same this year. Some sizes are sold out, but if your size is in stock I would recommend these 100%! See the shorts here. *more mid-rise boyfriend shorts on sale at Old Navy in the carousel below

It starts warming up in March in Illinois and stays light longer!! Looking forward to more Spring trends.

It usually starts warming up the end of March here, but last weekend it was 80 here in CA. 😀 Thanks for the ideas!

March can be totally unpredictable here in upstate NY but we do show signs of Spring here and there. Crocuses , daffodils, smells of Spring and happy birds seem to shout out all that is ahead. Can’t wait!!!

I’m in Virginia so it all depends on the day. lol We should be getting a few nice days sprinkled here and there in March . .. but definitely April! Love all the cute options that you’ve shown!

Here in suburban Chicago, we’ll be lucky to get a few warm days in April. But more often than not, things don’t start warming up till May. Love the crossbody bag from Amazon!

Always a mystery in Dallas – will be a low of 27 on Friday and a high of 80 on Monday, all the seasons in 72 hours 🙂

I adore the cardigan with the Lucy jeans look!! I’m a PA girl and I feel like it’s not warm until May!! But we get a lot of warm day teasers until then! Thanks for making this weeks Wednesday inspirational!!

Greeting from the Illinois/Wisconsin border. Lately, around here it doesn’t start warming up until late April. Last year we had a frost the day after Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day used to be “the day” it was safe to start planting, not anymore! Now I wait until the end of May. UGH!!

I love the crossbody and I love those On sneakers! Those colors are hot!! I just bought a waterproof pair in black! I wish they would make beautiful colored ones in waterproof! They are the best!! Love the photobomb by Kilo! lol

It’s going to be in the 80’s his week in Orlando – too hot too soon! I love that mesh top with the pearl buttons – so pretty! Is the body of the blouse a knit fabric?

I’m in Colorado so it will get warmer soon but we get the most snow in March and April. When we do, it melts pretty quickly.

  • Christine

Here in Alabama we definitely see warmer weather in March and boy am I ready for it! At least ready to get away from the frigid temps. Love the puff sleeve tee and sweater vest- not usually my style but am doing it now.

  • Dawn Sutherland

Well Colorado is very tricky. May can be warm and then snow the next day. Same thing for February. It was 65 yesterday and snow expected today and tomorrow. Usually June through August is hot.
