Affordable Statement Sweaters

Statement sweaters are particularly unique pullovers and cardigans that seem to be entering the spotlight that have gorgeous detail, beautiful patterns, and the oh-so “look at me” sleeve detail. I’m a sweater girl, and I’m pretty sure you all already know this. I am always on the look-out for the best sweater for every day, and for occasions, I want to look a little extra special. Today I all about statement sweaters, it’s a fad right now, and we are not missing this cute trend! Be sure to Pin anything you like, for it helps me grow the blog! Thanks! (Check out the new Giveaway at the end of the post also)

My favorite, and I mean my fave – is this gorgeous Camo inspired black and grey gorgeous Scoop sweater with puff sleeve detail. This is truly a statement sweater because it stands out. You only need simple jewelry for your accessories; style it with jeans or dress pants, and you will rock it all day! This fits TTS, and I am wearing a medium for reference. Check out the cuffs on the sweater also; it is feminine and can easily be dressed up for holidays.

This sweater caught my eye because of the gorgeous sleeve detail. Isn’t it so feminine and gorgeous? This is a pretty sweater to wear to work or a get-together. Add a cute necklace (mine is here), some jeans, or those leather pants if you want to really step out, lol, and a cute pair of pumps or strappy heels. Add a great winter wool coat for a fabulous chic outfit with little effort. This sweater is from Target and probably will get low in stock soon. Isn’t it perfect for a holiday party? It fits TTS and I am wearing a medium for reference. See it here. **More Sweaters from Target are linked below in the carousel. These are gorgeous!

This sweater showed up at my doorstep, but I did not order it. So I think my order got mixed up with the next item below. Nonetheless, I tried it on and actually liked it. This is perfect for leggings for a super comfortable outfit, it’s forgiving, it stands out, and I kind of like the look. This comes in black and white also and is also really cute. This is a tunic, so it fits relaxed, and I am wearing my normal size. See the Abstract Animal Tunic here.

I ordered this gorgeous Polka Dot Puff Sleeve sweater but did not receive it in my packages. I still wanted to share it because it is such a pretty winter piece, especially with white dress pants or jeans for a dressier and cute look. Scoop fits TTS, so I would buy my regular size in this. See it here.

I know this sweater is not a “statement sweater,” but it has the potential to add some accessories to make it stand out. Looking at this outfit, don’t you think the scarf really makes it pop and bring the “statement” into play? Adding the long drop necklace brings it all together for a perfect casual brunch outfit with the girls. This is one of my favorite outfits right now!

Here is a closer look at the wedge booties. These are slip-on, the heel is around 2 inches (at the most), and they look great with denim and white jeans. These are a Target find, so they will go fast. See them here.

I thought I would share a few pics from our home here and there as we finish up decorating. The main focal point in this picture is the MUG! I am a sucker for a Christmas mug, and yes…I use them year-round. Christmas brings joy to me, and I cannot get enough of the fun, family traditions, decor, baking, and all the good stuff! The Merry Christmas Wood sign is from Walmart. I could not find it online, so check your local Walmart because it’s only $15. I linked the pajamas, mugs, and other items in the carousel below.

San Diego! I would love to go there!! I’ve been to Hollywood but was only there for a few days. When do you start getting cooler weather? I am loving learning about all you girls!! Y’all are my “work buddies” lol!! Have a great day!! And thanks for the comment!!❤️❤️

      • Laurie

I love the warmer weather but when it falls into the 50s and even 60s, I love a cozy sweater… and a good scarf. I really like how walmart has stepped up their fashion game. Beautiful sweaters and they are so soft.

        • Beverly

Hey Laurie!! I totally agree!! A cool wind can blow through NC and the girls grab their boots and scarves lol!! I think we all like a change in weather. Walmart has stepped it up quite a bit!! Their biggest competition is Target, so I see better things coming!! Have a great day!!❤️❤️

    • JoDee McConnaughhay

Definitely a sweater girl, but I love a big soft sweatshirt, too. 🙂 Up here in the Midwest it gets really cold—good thing I love sweaters and hot cocoa. Blessings!

  • Marilyn S.

I live in GA where our coldest days are in the 50s and that combined with hot flashes …..I’m sad but I really don’t get a lot of wear out of sweaters, but when I do I usually go for a very lightweight one and usually v neck. If its really cold Ill add a plain t or denim shirt underneath. Having said all that I still find myself drawn to comfy cozy warm and wooly sweaters but I’ve learned my lesson and resist the urge to purchase them.

Love to see more of your happy looking Christmas decor.

    Marilyn S.

    • Beverly

Lol!! I will be showing more decor, we actually have a lot being delivered over the next few days. I’m so excited!! Marilyn, girl I feel ya with the hot flashes! It’s horrible! I got a really cute v-neck sweater coming up!! You are not far from us so our weather is a lot like yours. Ugg! Lol!! Our really cold weather won’t be here till January and I’m ready. Raegan on the other hand keeps her room a toasty 100degrees and freezes even in the summer. She’s so petite and little. We keep telling her to start eating donuts and she would stay warmer ha ha!! Have a great day !! ❤️❤️

    • Beverly

Kelly…on my gosh!! I love those boots!! I wore white jeans and the rust sweater from Walmart and those boots. It was soooo cute!! Hope you have a great day!!❤️❤️

  • Lisa

Beautiful Beverly!!!! I am a sweater girl, a Christmas mug girl, a Christmas decor girl and most of all a Jesus girl… you and I have many things in common. All of the sweaters are beautiful. The gray one is probably my favorite. On another note I haven’t commented lately because I just got over a horrific stomach bug that knocked me out of work for almost a week. I am feeling much better now….Thank you Lord!!! Oh yeah, by the way I have three Christmas trees in my house. It is a lot of work but it brings so much “joy” to me when I come home from a long stressful day at work and get to turn on the tree lights. I get up at the crack of dawn and turn them on and have a talk with Jesus….what a “peaceful moment” before my busy day begins. Have a great day my friend. xoxo

    • Beverly

Lisa, you and I are sisters in spirit!! We are sooo much alike!! I have wondered if you were still working night and day, I am so sorry you have been sick!! Last year I got vertigo for about 2 weeks and was sick as a dog. Lost 8 lbs in 3 days. Barry gathered me up and took me to the Dr. He said I wasn’t dying on his watch, everyone would say he poisoned me 😂😂 He cracks me up!! Oh the fa la la la la feels of Christmas 🎄 I was sitting in the “chic corner” last night looking at all the lights and felt so peaceful. Kept the TV on Hallmark and enjoyed my time alone. With the way everything is right now, peace is totally needed and encouraged lol!! Hope you’re feeling better my sweet friend!! Are you on FB?

    • Cindy

I’m a sweater girl! Thin sweaters or light layers here in Arkansas! I love the cream sweaters you keep showing off. The last outfit & Target boots are totally me. I look forward to my morning dose of Beverly!!!

      • Beverly

Oh my gosh Cindy!! Girl, you just made my day. I’ve got the best group of followers!! Well, y’all are my work buddies lol! Thank you for following!!❤️❤️

    • Beverly

Whew, girl I bet!! I love sweaters too!! I will keep finding things to layer for my southern girls. When does it get cooler there? Have a great day!!❤️❤️

  • Paula C

I’m both! I live in the Appalachian mountains, so we have some harsh winter weather. I wear a lot of sweaters, especially to work, but I also throw on lots of sweatshirts for my casual days. I LOVE today’s black and white camo-inspired sweater. I love your blog and look forward to your posts so much. Keep them coming!

    • Beverly

Hey Paula!! I wish we lived in the mountains!! It’s so pretty and while on vacation there I always had good hair days 😂 Isn’t that black camo sweater awesome?!! Have a great day and stay warm!!❤️

  • Deb

Good morning Beverly. I am definitely a sweater girl, I feel schlumpy in a sweatshirt! Love the first sweater, the whole outfit is fabulous.

    • Anna Brand

I live in Mississippi and I love to wear sweaters however, we usually don’t get a lot of sweater weather!! Layering is the way to go for me because it may be 35 and windy when you wake up, but by lunch it could be 70 degrees and sunny. You have highlighted some great finds lately! Beautiful, lightweight sweaters at a terrific price point. Thank you!

  • Susan

Love sweaters! Just have to keep them light weight living in Southeast Texas! Layering is definitely the key down here! Stumbled across your blog and love love love the affordable spin you put on your outfits! Thanks so much for what you do – shows us all you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for clothing,

    • Beverly

Hey Susan!! Thank you so much!! Such a sweet comment! Our weather is like that also. My son lived in Katy, TX for a while and Lordy, it was HOT down there in the summers. Although, I absolutely loved staying with him. Katy and Houston are gorgeous and everything is right there at your back door lol!! Keeping it affordable is my style!! Every now and then I splurge, but it’s definitely worth it if I do. ( I do splurge on shoes here and there ha!!) ❤️❤️ Have a great day!!

  • Pamela

Good morning, Beverly. I live in TN and I can tell you the weather changes about every two days. It is starting to cool off again now, so out come the sweaters. I am a sweater girl. I love fall and winter weather because I love to layer, wrap up, and wear lots of sweaters. Thanks for the post and the giveaway.

    • Beverly

Hey Pamela!! I love TN!! My aunt used to live there when we were small and would go over and stay with them a lot. And I LOVE Nashville!! I went there for training conventions when I was traveling and I got to take a private tour of the Titans stadium. It was AWESOME!! Plus the city is so pretty. Your weather is like ours, it’s getting cooler here also, normally we don’t have to pull out a bigger coat till January. Hoping for some snow this year❤️ Have a great day!!

    • Shelly Robinson

Hi, Beverly. I’m a North Carolina girl as well (Charlotte area.) I am usually more into sweatshirts, but this year I’ve bought quite a few sweaters. I’m hoping our weather will allow me to wear them lol.
I love, love, love the Christmas season too! It feels like people are happier and more loving toward others at this time of the year. I think we all need the warm, fuzzy feelings that Christmas brings…especially this year!

      • Beverly

Hey Shelly!! You may have already read this, but my husband is from the Charlotte area. He grew up in Mint Hill and has a twin. His brother is a lawyer in Gastonia, so we go there every now and then. I’m hoping for a colder winter because I’m wanting snow this year! Brooklyn is 5 so it will be fun to play with her. I’ve got the Christmas fuzzies too omgosh!! I’ve got it bad this year, must be because 2020 was one for the books!! Glad to know I’ve got some NC girls following!! Have a great day and sorry I rambled. I’ve had way too much coffee 😂

      • Alicia

Good morning!! It has not been cold here in Auburn, Alabama until this week!! I’m both a sweater and a sweatshirt girl!! Looking for a black sweatshirt now to wear with that fabulous black and white check blouse you posted about a few months ago! Walmart had one but they sold out of my size before I could snap it up!!! If you see one let me know!! I guess a crew neck sweater would work as well! Love your Christmas decor and your posts!! Look forward to reading it with my coffee every morning!!

        • Beverly

Hey Alicia!! Boy, that stuff at Walmart gets gone quick!! It’s cold here today also. I finally got to wear a coat lol!! Thank you for following!! See you in the morning with a cup of coffee ☕️ lol!! Have a great day!❤️

  • Melanie S

Good Morning! I’m a sweatshirt and leggings girl more than sweaters cause it doesn’t get that cold here in Texas a whole lot. BUT I do own more sweaters now that I have come across your blog lol. You pick the prettiest and casual looking sweaters all for a great deal. Thank you!! LOVE all the sweaters you styled

    • Beverly

Thank you Melanie!! I tend to grab sweatshirts and leggings more around the house, but love a great comfy sweater to wear out. (Notice i style leggings a lot lol) it’s what we wear ha!!😂❤️

  • Shelly

Here in North Texas, the weather doesn’t allow for many sweater days! I wear lots of cardigans for the cool mornings and warm afternoons. I may try a sweater or 2 for some cooler days. Thanks for all the inspiration!

    • Beverly

I have so many girls from TX following! My best friend from grade school lives in TX and Chase lived in Katy for a while, so I feel “at home” with you girls!! I will gather up more cardigans for you girls. I hear the winters are short there!! Have a great day lovely ❤️❤️

  • Kat Norton

    Hello beautiful little Beverly!
I love sweaters but our Oklahoma weather and menopause have to cooperate.
I love all of your styles. If I can copy something you post, then I know it will be appropriate and stylish and I can go out with confidence.
The last picture was my most favorite and I was glad to see your dog make an appearance. I don’t know why I always look for him.😆
I also love Christmas all year long!

    • Beverly

Oh my gosh Kat, I bout died laughing at your comment about Ziva!! She is always by my side isn’t she? She is the most loving , humble, well trained dog I’ve ever had. She hugs us like humans and lives to be held on your hip like a 2year old lol!! She has become quite a staple piece in the pics. We were taking pictures outside, but Barry had worked so much during this Covid I have had to switch to “try-on” selfies. Your comment was so sweet!! Thank you! And I definitely feel the hot flashes as well, I will be so glad when it’s over!! Have a happy Wednesday lovely!!❤️❤️

  • Kat Norton

As soon as I called your dog a HE, I knew I made a mistake. I won’t make it again and I love her name!! Have a great day!!

  • Missy

    • Beverly

Hey Missy!! Glad you found the blog too!! When I first started working from home, I didn’t go out of my way to put on an outfit and I got a tad bit depressed. So now I make sure I get on up and get ready for the day like I used to when I worked outside the home. It helped so much!! Although lol, I love a great sweatshirt and jogger day ha!! • Roni

I’m in Iowa where sweater weather is(in my opinion) 9 months out of the year. Its always nice to have your fresh perspective to coordinating a look when I’m tired of being covered head to toe trying to keep warm. I look forward to your posts daily, its the first thing I check. Thank you for your inspiration.

    • Beverly

Roni, 1) I love your name❤️ 2) you just made my day. All you girls have!! It’s so nice to get to know everyone. Not everyone comments but for those that do, it makes my day!! • Annette

Love the first sweater! Working from home and looking for comfy attire- finding that leggings and sweaters are the best!
Also finding that our local Walmart/Target does not carry in stock some of the items 😔
I look forward to your daily blogs.
    Happy hump day!

    • Beverly

Hey Annette!! Thank you so much!! I love my leggings!! Our local Walmart doesn’t carry some of the items Ritter!! I have to order online. They are cute !! Thanks for following ❤️❤️

  • Jan

I love sweaters.. the ones you modeled today are so cute.
They have some cute sweatshirts also; but I’d have to say the sweaters come first.
