Top Faves Of The Week + Sunday Inspiration

It was NO surprise to me that this classic Scoop Boyfriend Blazer would be at the top of the list for this week. I myself have ordered 3 of these! This blazer has touched sleeves, comes in multiple colors, and is a perfect jacket to dress an outfit up or to wear to work. Fits TTS, I am wearing a medium for reference. See the jacket here.

This Lightweight Time and Tru Anorak Jacket is under $22 and is a jacket that I am constantly grabbing. In fact, I wore it yesterday lol. It seems Target and Walmart are always making the Top Faves each week, and this week Target hit a few times! This Mock-Neck Tunic Pullover by A New Day is one of the softest pullovers that I have purchased from Target. It is a loose fit but Fits TTS. This Supersoft Mock Neck Sweater has climbed to the top really fast! This lightweight sweater is amazingly soft, I absolutely loved this one and I cannot wait to wear it more lol! This comes in multiple colors and they are going fast. I just checked the status and 364 people were looking at it. WOW! This fits a little loose, so I would size down. I ordered my regular size to have a loose and slouchy look with my jeans and booties, but would rather it be more fitted to wear with dress pants or for a date night. See the sweater here.

The Faux Suede Slouchy Bootie almost made the top 10 and was tied with 2 other items that are in the “Honorable Mention” section. Sunday Inspiration

We all struggle with spiritual discouragement and sometimes just get lazy with our faith. Some days our circumstances threaten to overwhelm us, and we struggle just to pray.  Many times we just don’t feel like doing the things we know we should.  For one reason or another, God sometimes seems far off and unreachable. I know I feel like this often and it is hard to push through and put on a smile at times.

I like to turn to Psalms 119-89, “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.  Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands.  They stand this day according to Your ordinances…”

Recalling God’s faithfulness and control over everything that touches us gives us strength to walk with God even when we feel like giving up in despair. Next time you feel spiritually drained or inadequate, remember that you have a choice.  You can wrap yourself up in excuses and self-pity, or you can choose to draw your strength from an unchanging God. I struggle with this, but I am trying to remember this daily as I walk through this “mid-life” journey. Especially in these days when everything seems discombobulated.
