Now & Later Dress From Banana Republic

If you are like me, you want to get more bang for your buck! Summer items are starting to go on sale as the fall fashion trends start dropping. So let’s take advantage of the sales and grab those items that can be worn now and later. Over the next few weeks, I will be showing transitional items that you may have and how to style them with the new fall trends that are coming out.

Today I am sharing a dress that fits into the category of “transitional” clothing. It is one of the cutest dresses I have seen this summer and is flattering for any figure. This Drop-Hem Shift Dress can be worn to work, church, or as an everyday style. The hem is fun and flirty and kind of reminds me of a romantic look.

I have styled it with a denim jacket but can easily be worn with a cardigan or blazer. It’s a perfect dress here in the South since we will not get cooler weather till October. It’s under $30 and a BARGAIN! It fits looser through the body with a v-neckline, hits right above the knee and is fully lined. See it here. The dress fits TTS, I am wearing a medium for reference.

    Hi Beverly…I love your blog! I have gotten so many ideas from you and I absolutely love LOFT clothing. I bought 2 dresses, 3 blouses and a pair of shorts from them lol. I love the sandals you are wearing with this Banana Republic dress. Can you tell me where to find them?

    Hi Beautiful Beverly….adorable photo of Brooklyn. Oh my word, I cannot imagine having to homeschool especially now that my children are all grown. We moved my daughter into her apartment this past weekend. It went really well. For some reason I feel more sad this year than I did last year. Maybe because I know that she will not be coming home as often. Thank goodness for FaceTime though because I get to see her pretty face. We both shed some tears tonight with each other but we are both okay. The other part of me is very happy for her because I want her to learn, grow and develop her own independence. OK enough of the sappy stuff let’s get on with fashion…… The orange or coral color looks great on you and that makes a really nice transition combo for Fall. I am so ready for Fall. I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store for Fall Fashion. I hope you do more videos too. 🍁🍂

      Hey girl!! I had just hopped on here and your comment popped up!! First off, I know you are feeling it since your daughter is gone. I can’t imagine! I mass Raegan do her schooling online here lol! She was not happy with it at all, maybe next year. As far as Brooklyn, oh my…I hope it’s easier than what I’m anticipating lol! Now…fashion! I am in love with this dress! It is a great transition color and looks really pretty with a white jacket too. When I get settled back in at home ( yay!) I am going to start the videos. Hair, makeup, clothes..all of it. Southern draw and all 🤣😜!! I will be praying for you and your daughter-you say a prayer for us lol! Have a great night!
