Spring Casual Outfit

Happy Tuesday! Today I am styling the cutest scalloped skort by Crown and Ivy. I love to wear skorts and this one is super cute for a casual style for Spring and Summer. This is a perfect alternative to wearing shorts for warmer weather and they have made a huge comeback over the years.

First, let’s talk about the chambray blouse I am wearing. I have styled many different chambray tops and this one is absolutely my favorite. It’s also by Crown and Ivy and is very well-made. One thing you want in a chambray blouse is quality, nothing upsets me more is to buy a denim blouse and it washes and dries badly. I washed this one in cold and hung it up to dry then threw it in the dryer to get the wrinkles out and it was perfect.

This comes in light, medium and dark wash; I am wearing the dark wash. It fits a little snug, so size up if you want it to fit a little looser like I am wearing mine. I am wearing a Large and this is on sale for less than $30. See it here.

The skort is a 5-pocket design and has stretch to it. The scalloped detail makes this so cute to me. It fits TTS and I am wearing an 8 for reference. This comes in 6 different color options, and it’s on sale for less than $28 – I am wearing the white, see it here.

This outfit is so cute with the Steve Madden Aero Sandals! These sandals are going to be very popular this spring and summer, so grab yours now! These are on sale at DSW for less than $45 right now, which is a lot cheaper than I got mine. See the sandals here, they come in black also. I added a carousel above that includes similar rhinestone options in sandals also. I liked the cognac color of the sandals and decided to style it with my Madewell Medium Leather Transport Tote. This was one of the most popular items during the holidays and is still super popular. I use mine almost every day and it has held up great! Check the tote out here.

Sorry this post is going out so late! I’m sitting in my car finishing up the post now lol! I have been having issues with my sinuses since the pollen has come in and I headed to bed really early last night. I wanted to make sure I got this outfit out because it is at the top of the list this week on social media. Check tomorrow’s post for the dress try-on I did this past week! Have a great day girls and thanks for stopping by the blog!

Have a blessed day!

This outfit is so cute and so me! I love to wear skorts during the warmer weather months and the scalloped edge is so feminine. The sandals are super cute but when i checked they were already out of my size in the cognac color. Since I can’t work right now I won’t be spending any unnecessary money, so I will pin this for future inspiration. 🙂

Beverly, you look adorable as always. I wore my Kelly green Crown and Ivy vest today.🍀 The scalloped skorts look great on you. The Crown and Ivy scalloped cardigans are really nice too. However, some of the colors are getting low in stock. I gave up shorts, skorts and any skirts or dresses above the knee a couple of years ago. I do not like to expose my fatty knees. I am very self-conscious and would love to have some of that fat sucked out of them. However my financial status has other priorities than having my fat sucked out…….so with that being said, I choose to wear ankle pants, colored jeans, skirts or dresses below the knee. My allergies have been bothering me too and I don’t want anyone to think I’m really sick when I’m not. I hope y’all are okay in your part of the state. We are in the Western part of NC and a lot of changes are taking place. Many prayers for you and your family. ~Lisa~ xoxo

Hey Lisa!! I did not know you were from the western part of NC! Barry is from the Charlotte area, he went to law school at Campbell University and never left the area. So far we are ok, although awake County has quite a few cases-but in my remote area, we seem to be ok. I am getting to the age where I’m more comfortable wearing ankle pants in the summer also. I rarely wear shorts out now unless I’m at the gym or beach. My legs ain’t what they used to be lol!! It’s funny how we change each decade, anyway—my knees are starting to get fatty too, so I’m guessing it’s an aging/menopausal thing. Yay! I love the Crown and Ivy line and the prices can’t be beat! You take care and stay safe. Thanks for commenting. ❤️❤️
