2 Casual Chic & Affordable Outfits
Happy Monday girls! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and your Monday is starting off right. We took a little break and had some girl time – much needed I will add. Last week was busy with lots of training and learning and let’s not forget the rain and storms that came through NC. On our “girl time”, we stopped in a few stores including a Target run and Ulta. I thought we would never leave Ulta, Raegan and Brooklyn were in hogs heaven! Raegan picked up a few new palettes and Brooklyn was only able to get chapstick (she’s too little for makeup, but she’s all girl and certainly loves looking at it). After a long few days of shopping, we ended up at Olive Garden and headed home with take out for the boys. We had such a good time, we need more fun times like that.
I have been eyeing this striped crew neck sweatshirt for a few weeks and I finally broke down and got it this weekend. They did not have my normal size, so I sized up and went for a loose fit. I think this will look so cute with denim shorts this Spring or even wear a dark chambray shirt underneath with a great pair of jeans and booties for a casual look for coffee. It fits TTS, see it here. Did I say how much I am loving this sweatshirt? And it’s only $20! Heck yeah…
I have been loving these jeans for a while now. I wanted to really give these a try before I posted about them outside of a try on haul. I must admit that these DENIZEN Mid-Rise Jeans are holding up pretty good and have a very flattering fit. These don’t sag in the behind after wearing them all day, they have great stretch in the waist and they are under $28 with a 4 3/4-star rating. These are the darkest color option called Blue Empire and they also come in a medium wash. I am wearing a size 8, they are TTS. See them here.
My boots are by Lucky Brand called the Yamka Wedge Chelsea Boot. I have had these boots for well over a year and they have held up wonderfully. They are a pretty brown/cognac color and they are a perfect addition to your shoe family. We all more than likely have taupe and black booties, but we need a gorgeous cognac color to give out outfits a little Ummph every now and then. See these boots here.
I have been looking to add a camel cardigan to my staple pieces and I ran across this brushed honeycomb longline cardigan for only $13. It’s super soft and features a shawl collar, open front, dropped long sleeves, front patch pockets, and a slit hem. This comes in a cocoa color option also. I am wearing a Medium and it fits perfectly. I think it’s super cute with my jeans and the leopard belt. See the cardigan here. My jeans are Mid-Rise Next Level Jeggings from American Eagle. I have had these jeans for years and they have withstood the test of time. These are a size 10, so they are not as tight as your typical jeggings. Since I normally wear an 8 these are looser in the leg than my normal size would normally fit. The color is starburst blue and these come in olive and white options also. See the jean here. **notice Princess Ziva stalking me in the photo above haha!!!
My boots are the Albyritel Bootie by Kelly & Katie. I have had these booties since the Fall and they have become a “go-to” bootie for me. These have been a hot item on the blog for the past 3-4 months and still going strong. These are getting limited in sizes online, so check them out before they get gone. See them here.

Today we are dropping Ziva off to get groomed, she absolutely loves getting pampered, so today is her day. We don’t call her Princess Ziva for nothing lol! What are you girls up to?

Kelly Palmer
Good morning! My favorite outfit today is the one with the Camel Cardigan. I love the boots and also the name since my name is Kelly and my youngest daughter is Katie 😉 Also love that Princess Ziva made an appearance. We too are suppose to get rain all week so I already ran out to do an errand before it begins. I am baking a total of 72 Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese filling and frosting for mine and Troy’s work for Valentine’s Day. I hope that you have a wonderful week!
