A Week For The Books!

This past week has been a huge struggle for our family with this “bug” going around and keeping a smile on anyone’s face has been nearly impossible. We are all doing better, but lingering symptoms are so annoying! Yesterday afternoon our little Brooklyn started getting sick and was not able to keep anything on her stomach. Talk about feeling bad…seeing a child sick is one of the hardest things for me. It’s so pitiful!

Wednesday and Thursday I was in excruciating pain with my neck and shoulders, I have not slept well since we purchased our Sleep Number bed back in September and it is becoming a major issue for Barry and me. He loves it and I am trying to figure out what number I should be at, and right now I am at a 95, which is very firm. I seem to be sleeping better, but I am having issues with my neck and shoulders. Anyone have any advice that has a SN Bed?

Thursday was the breaking point for me. I literally fell apart and lost all composure. When I say I lost it…I LOST it! Everyone retreated to their rooms and “caves” and gave me time to boohoo and get a grip and after a few hours of whining to myself, I started feeling better. I tell this story because it’s ok to lose it every now and then. Sometimes we need to let those feelings and emotions out and boy, I must have had a lot built up inside ha!

I had to keep thinking there are people out there far worse off than me. Which led me to this scripture

1 Thessalonians 5:18 King James Version (KJV) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Let it out sometimes, don’t feel bad about being overwhelmed, pray, retreat, spend some time alone and then strap those boots on and move forward! You got this!

Happy Sunday girls! No matter how tall the mountain, you can climb it and make it over to the other side. When it’s all over, that trial will build something in you that will make you stronger. You will look back one day and be thankful for all the small and large things you have gone through. God is preparing you for bigger and better things and he builds you through the small things that you go through. Don’t forget how David killed the giant – he only used a stone. One stone. The giant came at him with a spear and sword, but David fought with a stone in the name of the Lord! Victory is yours!

Have a blessed day!
