What I’ve Been Reading… I shared this book on my Instagram stories because I was enjoying it so much. I love thrillers, love stories, and I absolutely love reading true stories and what people have went through and overcame. Christy (a follower on IG) messaged me and suggested I read The Alice Network, she says it is very similar (but fiction) and totally worth the read! A Woman Of No Importance is about a spy, and it’s true! Here is an excerpt just to get your engines running! “In 1942, the Gestapo sent out an urgent transmission: “She is the most dangerous of all Allied spies. Other books worth a read: The Couple Next Door The Secrets We Keep A Gentlemen In Moscow The Last Thing He Told Me Recent Amazon Finds If you have shopped on Amazon, I am sure you have sen some of the best sellers pop up and wonder if they would be a score or an epic fail. I decoded to try out some of the tees and blouses that keep popping up on my feed and put them to the test. I was surprised to find out that they were better than I expected! These were some of my faves. This is definitely a tee to check out, it is one of my favorite tees I have found from Amazon. I love the colors, the camo and the stripes make it stand out from a normal tee. This comes in multiple color options and it fits TTS. It has some stretch in it, so it’s super comfortable and breathable for the hotter months. I am wearing a large in the baby blue for reference. It’s only $16 and totally worth trying. See the tee here. I love the sleeve detail on this v-neck casual tee! I have been eyeing this the entire summer and finally ordered it. This fits TTS ( I am wearing a large) and comes in multiple color options. This hits below the waist and easy to tuck or untuck, the sleeves are not scratchy, and are as soft as the tee. Overall it is a great tee to style on the weekend or for work. I’m wearing the light blue, see it here. This sweater was better than I expected as well. This is a loose v-neck color block style sweater and I loved the neutral stripes that really stand out with the black skinny jeans from Target. This sweater has nearly 2k positive reviews, so I jumped on it. It fits true to size and comes in a ton of colors and patterns. This looks really cute with denim shorts and sneakers on cooler nights. See the sweater here. This striped-leopard twist knot side tee is as cute in person as it is in the pictures. I would size up in this for a better fit. I ordered a large and it fit like a medium, so I returned for a larger size. This comes in different colors and patterns also. it’s a cute tee for the weekend or to wear on a business casual day. See the tee here, it’s only $17 and I am wearing the grey. This split v-neck chiffon tunic is supposed to fit looser than what I am wearing, so I would size up unless you want it to fit slimmer. This is a tunic and hits below the hips; I decided to tie it at the waist since long lines will make me appear very tall, lol. I have compiled items from beauty, fashion, accessories, to home goods and must-have items in the summer. I have also shared the books I just downloaded and cannot wait to get to reading in-depth. I sometimes share a recipe, but since we have been “up in the air” here at the Hoyle house, not much cooking has been going on. It’s been salads and sandwiches for most of the month. Barry is starting to complain, so I will have a great recipe next week…hopefully, lol! First up on the list are these cute Espadrille Mules from Target! These come in this pretty neutral, and a tan and olive suede. These are perfect for every day and can easily dress up a pair of jeans styled with a cute top and handbag. These will be a hot seller, so grab your size while you can. I ordered my regular size in these and they fit great. See the espadrille mule here. Another Walmart Find is the Melrose Ave Vegan Leather Strappy Flat Sandal. These remind me of the Scoop sandals that were so popular. These come in 2 more color options and are in my cart right now! I ordered the black in these. See the sandal here. Have you used the OPI Drip Dry drying drops? If you do your own nails or toes, this is a must-have! Apply to nails after applying NAIL POLISH as the final step of your manicure, wait to set 60 seconds. I also use the OPI ProStay Duo Pack, I can paint my nails and the polish won’t chip and it lasts for about 2 weeks. I recently found the Lancome Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Mascara and it is AMAZING! I don’t wear a lot of mascara around the house, but when I do – this mascara helps give me gorgeous lashes and really makes my eyes pop. See it here. You can also see the Before & After pics, the difference is huge! Many of you have asked about self-tanners and I rarely use them, however, Raegan will use them. So I asked her and a few of my more mature friends which did they like best and by far, everyone liked St. Tropez the best and the second was Bondi Sands Liquid Gold. I know you have to make sure you exfoliate very well before applying a tanner because the tanner will grab to the older skin and darken in spots. I use the MicrodermaMitt (it’s wonderful!) before applying any tanner and I use this tanning mitt. The tanning mitt is one of Amazon’s Best Sellers and Most Loved! If you have dry or flaky skin or just love a great exfoliator, I found this little jar of heaven called Flake Away at Target and we are loving it! This is good for any type of skin and although reviews say people have used it on their face, I have not. I use this pumpkin mask on my face but use the Flake Away on my body. Makes my legs feel so good! See the Flake Away here. If you are like me, you may be sitting on a bleacher at night and on the weekends watching your grandkids play sports. One thing I have learned is to use a cooling towel for walks, working in the yard during the day, and baseball games! These are so handy and they work! The pack of 4 is only $14 and an Amazon Find! See it here. I have a few home decor items in this post since we are renovating. These lavender faux flowers are simply gorgeous and an easy addition to any room to brighten it up. I found these at Target and it comes in the pot for only $20. I am going to add this to my new bathroom. Isn’t it cute? See it here. These faux hydrangeas were an Amazon Find and will be going in the new glam bedroom when the kids move out next week. Yes…I said next week! Cross your fingers nothing happens between now and then, LOL! Back to the flowers…this set of 6 comes in multiple colors and is only $11. See the flowers here. This bracelet combo is another favorite that I have just bought. I love it together and I love the option of stacking it with other bracelets I own. It’s only $26 for the entire set, see it here. My Reading Picks For The Week I have been busy with the house here lately and have not been able to read my books like I normally do. I have just downloaded these to read now and a few more to read in May while we take a few days at the beach. I was looking for a love story but soon found myself leaning towards a true story. I did a survey on these sandals on my IG stories and the results were around 50/50, which really surprised me. My fur love of this home is Ziva the golden doodle, she is a hugger, listens so well, and has a little hyper crazy vibe going on at times. I am serious when it comes to skincare, as I get older, I can tell that things are not as they once were, lol. I want these cuties below, they are some of Amazon’s Best Sellers and I love the raw hem and distressed look. I would wear this with strappy sandals a tank and probably a cute short sleeve cardigan. Crossbody bags are a big trend right now, but you have to have the guitar straps to kick the trend up. I have a few of these guitar straps and I love using them with some of my bigger bags. I like the straps because you can adjust these easily to your height. These are a major fad right now and they are not expensive, which makes it even better! I shared this recipe on my IG in stories this week and it was a big hit. This is a recipe I use weekly and I mean weekly! I use this with any meats and it always turns out great. You can leave out the Italian Salad Dressing Mix and add any size jar of gravy and a can of Cream of Chicken Soup. I listed below the picture different options I use. It’s good…like as good as grandmas! Especially with hamburger steak! What We Are Reading… Barry has started grabbing up my Fire tablet and starting to pick out his faves also. We just downloaded The Return by Nicholas Sparks and so far Barry says it’s an A+! He can read a book within a day or two, whereas I take at least a week. I have just downloaded We Are The Lucky Ones, it is a true story about a couple during WWII. It is a gripping and true story, and one of those true stories where the odds are stacked against you…you will have to read the book to hear the ending, lol! Although I bought my Fire Tablet for me to start back reading, I have found that Brooklyn has already figured out how to use this for YouTube! Kids are so smart these days! A super cute jacket to wear with leggings or joggers since the casual comfy trend is taking over. If you can’t decide which size to get, go up a size for a looser fit. I’ve used all kinds of razors and trust me, this is the very best that I have tried. We keep the shaving cream in our house at all times, even Chase uses it. This Drybar Shower Cap is the holy grail of shower caps! A blogger friend told me about this one, and boy am I glad she did. This shower cap is lined with thick terrycloth material that absorbs all the moisture in the air. This means humidity never touches your hair and your hair looks the same coming out of the shower as it does going into it. I hang this on a hook outside the shower to dry. Thanks for the suggestion Christine!! I also downloaded The Silent Patient and it is a page-turner, it’s a thriller and has thousands of good reviews! I have really enjoyed my new Fire Tablet and have had it in my hand non-stop here lately. Reading a great book is helping me find myself again, it’s keeping me off social media and all the negativity going on in the world. It has been a great escape and it has made Brooklyn more interested in reading as well. This Weeks Amazon Finds I found this Hello entry doormat and I put this buffalo check mat underneath it. Once we get our front door swapped out for a black door, I think it will look even better! I changed out some of our decor in the guest bathroom and added a couple of these rugs in grey. They have a gorilla grip that is awesome! No-slip! I found these round Binto Meal Prep containers for leftovers and to help with my meal prepping for FWTFL. As we get older it is imperative to keep ourselves healthy, and probiotics are a great way to boost your immune system. I am not blessed in the chest area, so my picks for bras vary from other women. These Caramel Cantina 4-pack of V-Neck Padded Bralette is an #amazonfind that I can get behind. For an everyday look, try the Amazon Essential Scoop Neck Tee (Pack of 2) and definitely try the CRZ Yoga Jogger Pant. Both of these come in multiple color options and fit TTS. Those sneakers were some of the most popular on the blog since last summer! These are back in stock and are now in multiple color options and they are only $16! Outfit Details below picture. I also found this thinner Pullover Hoodie that is so stinking soft, I just had to have it! It’s made of rayon and spandex and feels so good on! You will never believe this hoodie (with front pockets) is under $15! I have it on with white jeans, but would look so chic with these white joggers and a denim jacket! See the hoodie here. A sweatshirt that is passed around from Raegan to me is this Target Find! Pair it with a pair of Naked Feeling Yoga Pants with Athletic Works sneakers (only $16). These are some of our faves and well worn. I recently purchased this new Kindle Fire 7 (2019 release) so I can keep all my books together, plus it’s an extra tablet here for Brooklyn to play games on. This one is hands-free with Alexa, has all the favorite apps like Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, Hulu, Disney+, Zoom, Prime Video, and more. A few of my first books were in the Top Sellers and this one by John Grisham is a good read if you like a page-turner. Also, The Silent Wife is gripping, emotional with twists that will keep you forgetting about this world…it’s better than watching movies! Ok, the recipe that my family is going nuts over is the Million Dollar Chicken Tetrazzini recipe from plainchicken.com. This is an easy recipe that can be made with rotisserie chicken (yay!) and if you’ve been hanging around here long…you know I like simple recipes. See the recipe here. I’ve been trying to cut my gluten out and I found a sweet treat that is 100% worth sharing. Throw these in your cart when you go shopping girls! OH MY GEEZZZZZZ!
