Well, Hello Bootcut Jeans!

Jean fads come and go, and we tend to always have our own personal favorites. My favorite is the boyfriend jean or the skinny/straight jean. I like to shake it up from time to time and pull out a bootcut or flare and today is the day for bootcut to be front and center. In the early 2000s, these were extremely popular, then the skinny jean took front and center, now the boyfriend jean is making its mark. Many of you love the bootcut, and today, I am giving you a few outfit ideas for dinner out or brunch with the girls.

I decided to style the bootcut jeans so that I would wear them if Barry and I were meeting friends for dinner, something dressier but casual. An outfit that I could easily transition from sneakers to booties and add some jewelry to take the outfit from day to night. This off the shoulder sweater is almost like a sweatshirt, so it can be worn with joggers and leggings easily. The jeans fit TTS with plenty of stretch, with a mid-rise that sits right at the waist. I really liked these jeans and can see myself wearing these with a hoodie and sneakers for a cooler day running errands. Outfit Details: // Sweater // Necklace // Berkley Bracelet Set // Jeans // Circle Belt // Clutch (has a chain to wear over shoulder also) // Boots (similar)

Many of you loved the Eva Grace necklace, so I decided to share the Allison necklace that is similar but a lot more eye-catching. Chains with bigger links are the trend this season, and this one is a little different than the Eva Grace. I love the charms with the screw bar, and you can wear it like I am or you and get an extender and wear it as a choker and much longer if you wanted! See the Allison necklace here. Isn’t it an eyecatcher!

Grab that cute Scoop blazer and style it with a striped tee for a laid back but dressier look. Try mixing prints with a striped tee, it is the easiest pattern to add animal print accessories. This outfit is perfect for Thanksgiving, especially since it has plenty of stretch! You know you are going to load up on turkey, mashed potatoes, and pie! All items fit TTS, I am wearing my normal size 8/29 in jeans and medium in shirt and blazer. Outfit Details: // Blazer // Striped 3/4 Tee // Jeans // Belt // Clutch/Crossbody // Boots (similar) // Silver Chain Link Bracelet //

The boots I am wearing are a more rounded toe suede bootie from last year. The hot new trend this year is the black leather bootie with a more pointed toe. I looked long and hard for a great deal on this new trend; I just cannot spend $150 or more for the latest fad. I just ordered these cute black booties and paid only $28! These are by The Limited and normally $80, use coupon code ROCKTHEVOTE for 60% off, sale ends 11/8. Get more off using store pickup. See the boot here. (You will see these on the blog later lol)

The MadiJeanne Bracelet is a matte silver chain link bracelet that is 7″ and elastic. I styled it with clear and pearl stretchy bracelets for a chic and stylish look. See the MadiJeanne here. Do you mix your bracelets and stack them for a dramatic look?

    Good morning!
I really like the Allison necklace. How do you purchase the charms? Also due to my job and weird feet I was hoping you could do a post on booties with no heel and cut wider in the toe box. Thank you! I have few boot cut jeans I wear them from time to time.

Love that boot cut jeans are coming back. I wish I never got rid of mine a few years ago. I just ordered another pair 🙂

I do like boot cut jeans and I wear them all of the time. The reason being is that the boot cut jean compliments my figure better than any other type of jean. I have a couple of skinny jeans/ pants, but I have to be careful when wearing them. Thanks for sharing something a little different.

Good morning! I agree with Pamela. The bootcut jean also compliments my figure much better than any other style of jean so when I read this post it made me so happy 🙂 Have a great day my friend!!

Good Morning😊 I just wanted to say thank you for keeping your style in line with those of us who are on a more limited budget. Your clothes are so cute and affordable. I am a new follower and love the fact that you are humble and stylish in your choices. I have recently dropped some of the “other” blogs because they have gotten away from affordability. ( at least for me)
Blessings from a fellow sista who just loves affordable fashion, jewelry and makeup. Thanks again!

Thank you Mary Beth! I did the same thing, I was a single mom for a long time and I had to budget for our clothes. And what I learned while I was in the fashion industry, was real regular every day moms and women liked a deal and wanted to stay trendy. I may splurge here and there, but not often ha!! Thank you again for this comment and for following ❤️

I love bootcuts but I do prefer the rough edges. Maybe it’s because I’m an old hippie but the frayed look just seems to go with boot cut better. I’m new here (Tania) and I love your blog. I noticed you did a review of bootcuts back in Feb. Going to check that out.

I love boot cut jeans, especially longer ones if I can find them. I’m 5’10. I think they are just classy in their own right.
