In reply to sandy. I felt the same way about cooking-I was so sick of it lol!! I don’t know why I’m catching a new love for it, but I am!! Now what kind of dessert can I fix?? Good morning! I am up early this morning and hoping that I can get the bonus room situated before I have to leave for work this afternoon. This recipe looks very similar to one that I have and like you I usually only make it at Thanksgiving or big gatherings. My recipe is called Corn Casserole and the ingredients are 2 cans of creamed corn, 1 package Jiffy corn bread mix, 2 eggs and 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter. Combine all of the ingredients, stir well then pour into a sprayed 2 qt casserole/baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. This size is good for 4-5 people but if you want more to have leftovers you can double the recipe and bake in a 9×13 dish for 45-60 minutes. To check for doneness the top will be slightly golden brown and if you put a knife in the center it will come out a little wet but not drippy. If you wait until the knife comes out clean it will be dry. I am praying that you have a great day!!

Anything on the grill is so delicious and ribs never disappoint and they are so easy to make on the grill. I have to admit that I have never made or eaten corn pudding. Since we have fresh sweet corn in our freezer, that is what I make if we are having corn as a side dish and I’m not sure my family would eat it any other way…LOL I bet you are making one of your yummy desserts to go with your meal. I wish I had your same urge to cook as I’m struggling with enjoying it…the thinking of what to make…the process to make…the clean up the kitchen…maybe it’s just so many years of having to cook since my hubby and I farm and had livestock that it was an everyday thing I had to do. I really get lazy about it anymore but now your ribs are sounding yummy so may have to see if I have a rack in the freezer for next week. We are heading out soon for a family reunion lunch. I’m excited as our two grandkids will be there and it’s been a couple weeks since I’ve gotten grandma hugs and kisses so it will be a good day ! Enjoy your day Beverly and your yummy supper tonight!!!
