Sighhhh! From seeing our first wrinkle around the eye to our hair thinning from having children or menopause – we cannot stop the aging process. But…we can reverse some things! Today I am sharing a few thing that are absolute must-haves for me! Over the past five years, I have made a point to start taking better care of myself. From healthy eating and exercising to nourishing my skin and hair, I take each thing I do very seriously these days. I’m not going to lie ladies…I do not like getting older, but I cannot stop what is inevitable. I can, however, treat things that are not like they used to be and at least give the illusion of a more youthful appearance. 1. Exfoliate to a younger YOU! As I entered my 40’s, I started to notice my skin becoming drier, anyone else?? I learned about dry brushing and the benefits, read that post here, so I added that into my self-love routine. That’s when I learned about exfoliating and how important it is as we get older. Removing all those dead skin cells is imperative when fighting the aging process. I have two scrubs that I use regularly that I LOVE! Micro-Dermabrasion Paste by Rodan and Fields, this can be used on your face and body – it’s a sugar and salt formula that reveals smooth skin and helps with uneven skin tone. The second is Herbivore Coco Rose Coconut Oil Body Polish. I like using this one in the bathtub, the smell is AWESOME and it gets me in a spa-like state of mind and I tend to relax more.
