2 Summer Dresses From Walmart

You girls know I am constantly hitting up my local Walmart or shopping their website online, right? Walmart has a new line called Free Assembly and I have styled a few of their pieces on the blog before. Today I am sharing some of my new finds that are comfortable, the material is sustainable, and most of all, this line is super affordable. The Free Assembly line has all the updated classics that every wardrobe should have and the pieces are trendy, which I am loving! These pieces are made to be mixed and matched easily, and you will always be summer-ready with these must-have elevated essentials.

This Free Assembly Sleeveless V-Neck Swing Dress was right up my alley! I am a huge fan of rust or the color brick, so I couldn’t pass this one by. As I was shopping, I was looking for dresses that were going to be items that I could wear now and later, plus I was looking for items that I could wear with sandals or sneakers. I love that Free Assembly offers affordable fashion that is also functional for the modern woman. I like to pick items that serve multiple purposes and this swing dress can do just that! I can wear this to church or work with a cute pair of sandals or sneakers and a fabulous crossbody for the weekend.

This dress comes in multiple colors and is made with a luxe ribbed texture, lightweight sweater knit fabric. It hits above the knee (about 2 inches above mine – I’m 5’7″) and fits TTS, I am wearing a medium for reference. This dress has some stretch in it and has a gorgeous silhouette that is super flattering. For only $22 you will be like me and going back for more colors! This was a huge Walmart Win for me! See the dress here.

I love the way all the pieces with Free Assembly can be mixed and matched, it makes picking out my outfits so easy and with little effort. Whether its a one a done dress or pairing their premium denim with their cute tops for perfect weekend outfits, I am totally loving this line. Not to mention the comfort…I cannot express enough how comfortable the dresses that I am styling today are. When we get out on the weekends to see family or to go out to eat, these are my “go-to’s” because, at age 52, I need comfort and items that breathe, especially in the summer. Anyone else?

This Free Assembly Camp Shirtdress did not wow me online, but I was drawn to the stripes and thought I would give it a try, and boy did I find a gem! I fell in love with this dress as soon as I pulled it out of the bag because it felt so soft, and I knew that I would be able to incorporate this in my wardrobe for multiple looks! This shirt dress is perfect for an everyday outfit, a weekend outfit, and a great dress for vacation. I love the material and the easy flow of the dress, which is perfect for these hot and humid summer months.

The material is 100% cotton, with side slits, and a notch collar that I love! It also has pockets which are a bonus for me! You can wear this with sandals or sneakers, which makes this a perfect summer dress, in my opinion. This fits TTS (I am wearing a Large (for chest) and fits perfectly. This dress also comes in navy and optic white that are adorable. See the dress here. Isn’t it a cute dress that screams comfort? 🥰 I love these bold stripes, so eye-catching!

You can pop the collar up on this dress for a casual chic look, or tie a belt around the waist for another trendy look. This is also a great dress for fall, just add a denim jacket or blazer with cute boots for a perfect weekend outfit. Functionality has arrived with these dresses!

Did someone say vacation? This is how I wore the Shirtdress while on a quick getaway not too long ago. I loved wearing this while shopping, even in the hot heat. I never got too hot, and I love that it has a looser fit, which really does help to stay cool. Did I mention that vertical stripes make you appear taller and thinner? That’s a winner right there for me, lol!

Have you tried the Free Assembly line yet?

**Fit Tip: // I am 5’7″ and I typically wear a medium in bottoms or sizes 8/10. I wear medium/large in tops and typically size up and get a size 10 or Large in dresses.

Love that rust dress! I will have to head to Walmart this weekend. I am returning to work on Monday after 18 months at home so need to add a few pieces to my work wardrobe and this looks so comfortable.

You could wear a paper bag and look adorable! Not loving the striped one at all, to me it looks like pjs and I can’t wait for dresses with sleeves for my ugly 59 yr old arms!!
Happy Friday!! It has been really fun following you by the way!
