The Perfect Striped Midi Dress

If you love the midi-dress style dress, and I have found a dress that is not only affordable, but it is so flattering on! A midi-dress can be worn at any age and looks gorgeous on any body type. I found this striped v-neck midi-dress by Time and Tru and it’s not only one of my faves, Barry loved it too! I decided to show different ways to style this dress so you would get an idea of what kind of a bargain this is, and just how many ways you can wear it. This dress is a shirt-dress style with slits on the side, which makes walking and moving much easier. I am wearing a large in this dress and have plenty of room to maneuver through the day without feeling restricted. I am a 38C in the chest area and larges work better for me right now since the Covid hit…those pesky Covid lbs! UGG! This also comes in multiple colors if the striped look is not your thing. Style a midi-dress with a long duster for a casual-chic look. This duster was very popular yesterday and although it was a splurge for me, I did find a few alternatives that are much more affordable. For an everyday look, tie a chambray shirt around your waist and add a great tote. If you are more of a sneaker girl, throw on some sneakers and grab your favorite tote or crossbody for an outfit that will be cool and comfortable during the summer season. This is a really great dress to style in so many ways, you can add a denim jacket later in the year and style with booties for a fall look. My splurge this month was on a Marc Jacobs The Tote Bag, I ordered it yesterday and I cannot wait to get it. Late last night I finally broke down and told Barry I ordered “my birthday present” he forgot to get HAHA! It was so funny because he was eating and during mid-bite with mouth wide open, he turns and looks at me, then rolls his eyes. The look was priceless! (Please tell me I’m not the only wife slipping in a splurge every now and then???)

I found these cute slides from Walmart and I LOVE them! I am a sandal girl, especially while I am at home and running errands. These are easy to slide on and off and they called my name and I gave in, lol! Some girls don’t like the extra bling, but these are SO much cuter in person than in the picture. These are very comfortable and look so cute with dresses or shorts. They are under $20 and a fab #walmartfind. See the sandal here.
