2 Old Navy Dresses I’m Crushing On

I have said multiple times that the summer weather in North Carolina is hot, humid, and muggy (sarcastic -YAY). In that kind of weather, you learn to wear clothes that will breathe and can keep you cool. (You also learn how to tame your locks and beat the humidity, be on the lookout for tips and tricks coming up in a post this week on that topic). Keeping the body cool when you are over 40 can be tricky, as we tend to be more modest as we get older. Here are two outfits that I’m currently crushing on that are fun, flirty, romantic, and practical. Let me know what you think!

I love this v-neck floral print dress from Old Navy for an everyday outfit with sandals or white sneakers. It can easily be worn to work or church with a cute cardigan or jacket and a cute pair of wedges. This fits TTS, and comes in a gorgeous coral and black dot print. These are a Best Seller and are under $35! This can be worn through Spring, Summer, and Fall! Add a denim jacket and a cute pair of booties for a fall-ish look. (More bang for your buck!) I love it with the Time and Tru Sea -Sun- Salt bag from Walmart! Did I tell you girls how much I am liking this bag yesterday? It’s under $20 and was a HUGELY popular yesterday on the blog and social media. See the different bag styles here.

Up next is an “Oh, la, la” dress! Oh my gosh, I love this romantic midi-dress! This cute smocked waist dress is super popular and will get gone quick. This comes in a gorgeous light blue floral that I am also loving! This dress fits TTS, has a tiered hem, very waist defining and an all around comfortable dress. I decided to style it with a cute fedora and a classic pair of sandals from Walmart that are under $8! Yes, I said $8! The color I have is called blue, but it looks like a slate gray. A perfect color to mix and match with neutrals this summer. The sandals come in 3 more colors, check them out here before they are gone!

Add a denim jacket for those chilly nights out and a cute crossbody or tote. It is still a little chilly here some nights and the jacket comes in handy when we are out to dinner later at night. This could be worn later in the fall also with a cute blazer and booties. It’s definitely a dress that can be multi-functional and used a lot throughout the year. See the dress here.

    I LOVE the midi dress! And I may have to pick up that straw bucket bag! Target has been on fire this year with shoes and handbags. Thanks for bringing us these cute dresses and how to wear them.

    Good morning Beverly. I love the Old Navy dress! It looks so good on you. Have fun with Barry today, I’m off to work and it it going to be a gorgeous day her in New York. I’m taking Jennifer Aniston to work today (she’s my convertible). She only comes out on the most beautiful days. Lol

      So so cute! I love anything flirty and romantic! And to be able to hang around with you and the ladies chatting would be so much fun! I have looked at nearly every Old Navy dress online and they just don’t catch my eye until you style them! I don’t usually wear brown, but that dress is changing my mind! Haha

        Lol!! Hanging with some girlfriends would such a huge welcome right now!! I have had some roux failures!! That’s for sure, but I’ve also found soooo many things I like. I feel so sorry for our UPS man 🤣🤣

    I like the shorter dress. I just feel like long dresses make me look like a barrel, lol! And this old girl still has some decent legs so why not go with the shorter one, right?! At any rate, you look great in both.

    I have a question about the Charlotte Tilbury foundation. What shade do you wear? I’ve had no luck ordering the correct shade, and of course, there is no store in my area that sells Charlotte Tilbury. Thank you and have a great day!!

      Ok, I use shade 7.5, I didn’t think it would work at first, but once I added my contour, blush, etc it was a perfect match for me. As I spend more time outside I will have to go darker, but the good thing is you only need a tiny tiny bit to use. I squirt a very small dot on the back of my hand and use a brush to dot it all over my face then blend it in. It’s buildable if you need more. Hands down the best I have used. I’m hooked for like! Plus, it helps cover pores and things like that. As we get older those pores kinda like to make their big debut!! 😫
