Try-On Haul: Loft, Walmart, Old Navy & Talbots
Today I am sharing a few pieces from my online shopping sprees for the past few weeks. I have been on the hunt for longer shorts, dresses, and a few blouses that I can wear casually or on a date with the hubs. As I was writing this post together, I had not noticed how much I am drawn to neutrals. I do love neutrals, and this post is full of casual chic neutrals for day or night. Since I have been preoccupied with the renovations for the past few weeks, this week’s post may have a few more outfits than a normal week.
This on or off-the-shoulder paisley blouse is so flattering! I love the length of the sleeves and the ability to tuck it in or leave it out as a flowy top. This fits TTS, I am wearing a medium for reference. This blouse is from Cato Fashions and is under $20. See it here. I decided to style it with khaki 7-inch shorts from Old Navy. These are mid-rise and have some stretch in them for comfort. These shorts come in m multiple colors, but the khaki is getting low, so grab yours here. These shorts fit tts.
I’m going to talk about these knit white cropped jeans first…cause I am OBSESSED! These fit tts and have lots of stretch, in fact, you can bend and squat easily in these without feeling constricted. These were a splurge for me, but I didn’t mind because all of my Express jeans have held up wonderfully for years. These come in a variety of lengths and I am wearing the average length. See the jean here. This paisley blouse is from Cato and I totally recommend trying it out. I have worn this blouse multiple times with shorts and cropped denim and wedges. I have shown this racerback maxi dress from The Loft Outlet numerous times on social media this weekend and you may have already seen it, but it is blog worthy! This is perfect for date night, brunch with the girls, or even a great vacation look. The top is made of knit and the bottom falls beautifully for a feminine silhouette. This dress fits TTS, and I am wearing a medium for reference. See it here. I found these Camo shorts at Walmart to wear around the house and I am loving them! These come in multiple color options and fit tts. These have pockets and a drawstring waist and are very comfortable for an everyday outfit. I added a racerback tank and the slub knit active jacket from Talbots. This jacket is by far one of my favorites to wear on repeat, in fact, I have 2 colors…yes…it’s that good! Most women over 40 and 50 tend to like the 5, 7, and 9-inch shorts and I am right with you. These are the perfect length for wearing around the house or out running errands. These are easily worn with sandals, wedges, or sneakers, which makes them the perfect short for me. As I am getting towards my mid 50’s, I can see where modesty means much more to me than it did when I was younger. Not to mention…I do not look 20 anymore in shorts HAHA!! Every outfit is so cute. Hard to pick a favorite but if I have to pick one to wear right now it would have to be the off the shoulder paisley top and khaki short. Good Monday morning! Troy and I had a good weekend together. It was a good mixture of getting things done around the house and going out and about to enjoy ourselves. I love all of the outfits but my favorites are the racerback maxi dress and the camo shorts. I was wondering, do you have any recommendations for a strapless bra? I was looking this weekend and I am having a difficult time finding one in a store and I am hesitant to order one online.
