Top Faves Of The Week + Sunday Inspiration

Another week has wrapped up, and I’m sharing the Top Faves from the blog and social media. Some items really surprised me this week. Some items I knew would be top on the list, and others surprised me that they were so far up on the list. I think I can say that most of us loves a deal and we love comfort! My Sunday Inspiration section is at the bottom of the post for those that like to read the devotionals I share. Happy Sunday, ladies!

Coming in at #1 is the LOVE sweater from Walmart, which tells me that you girls are getting ready for Valentine’s Day! I love this sweater and have been wearing it quite a bit this month. These do Fit TTS, but they are getting limited in sizes. I have linked different options below that are just as cute and fun! See the LOVE sweater here.

At #2 is the Paisley Mixed Media Henley Blouse from Loft Outlet. I am in love with this blouse and I knew that it would be popular on the blog. It is a great blouse to dress a pair of jeans up and a perfect look for work. Style this with a cardigan or blazer for work, and on the weekend throw on a great denim jacket. This fits TTS and is on sale for 50% off for only $22! See the blouse here.

This V-Neck Wrap Sweater is in the #3 spot this week. This is an easy, elegant top that can be paired with jeans or a skirt. Perfect to carry you through the chilly days in the Spring also. This comes in multiple color options and is under $15 and Fits TTS. See it here.

The Steve Madden Kori Q Mules are in the #4 slot and are fast becoming some of my favorite mules. These are very comfortable, they stay on your feet, and look fabulous with denim or dress pants. These are on sale for under $35, here.

In the #5 spot is the Time and Tru Addison Crossbody and Purse. I like this bag because you can carry it in different ways plus it has multiple compartments and has become my bag of choice for everyday use. This comes in black and mustard also. See it here. At #6 is the Floral Smocked Shell that is absolutely adorable! This fits TTS and is on sale for only $14. See it here.

The Modern Ribbed Duster Cardigan from White House Black Market (similar to the one below) made it to #7 and is still climbing! This duster is normally $99 but is now marked down to $24. See it here.

These Sculpted High Rise Skinny Ankle Jeans made it to the #8 spot this week! These are very soft jeans with plenty of stretch with a 4-star review out of 5. See them here.

This cozy outfit made it to the Top 10 this week! At #9 is the No Boundaries Color lock Tie-Front top the fits TTS and is only $7! This comes in different colors, you can check it out here. And coming in at #10 is the Reebok Jogger Fleece Pant. These are really nice to wear if you are lounging around the house or if you are getting out and walking during the day. This comes in 5 more colors and fits TTS. See the jogger here.

Sunday Inspiration

Today I am sharing a short story devotional that I read this week and it hit me for many reasons. I lost my dad when I was 19 years old, so maneuvering through life at times has made me miss him terribly, so this hit home for me and helped me recall some of the talks we shared right before he died. It also reminded me not to look at the world, but to look towards the Lord. Though chaos seems to be the norm, I know that I should always keep my mind steadfast on Him, no matter how crazy things get – he is my lifeline!

Hannah saw her father every day—at least technically. That is, she passed him in the hallway and briefly said hello. Or sometimes she’d slip into his office and ask him to help her…or complain about her day. Yet while she saw him regularly, she strangely missed him.

When she paused long enough in her busy day, she could remember back to the sweet times she used to have with her father. How they’d sit and talk for hours. You know—really talked. Not a few quick words while racing off to an event, but focused, deep, daddy-daughter time.

What had happened? It was a question Hannah began asking herself. She knew her father hadn’t changed—he was still there, available to talk with, arms open wide. No, the problem wasn’t his—it was hers. She’d had her mind so occupied in a thousand different directions that she’d failed to quiet her thoughts long enough to really spend time with her father. She’d been missing out.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Good Sunday morning! It sounds like you had a good and relaxing weekend. We were finally able to have our Christmas get together with Troy’s family yesterday as it kept getting postponed for one reason or another. It was good to see everyone and was especially great to spend some time with 2 of our grandsons Elijah (13) and Gabriel (11). They are growing like weeds!! I can’t believe how so many things in yours and my lives are so similar. We are looking at a bathroom renovation in the very near future as in probably next weekend. We need to do a tear out on a downstairs bathroom that my mother-in-law uses and install a walk-in shower to make it easier on her. As for today’s fashion I do love my Love sweater from Walmart. I originally got it in a medium and it fit but I wanted a little more room in it so I ended up finding a store that had a large and drove there to exchange it for the larger size. I have gotten so many compliments on it! I am now anxiously awaiting the Floral Smocked Shell to arrive from Loft. I already own the denim jacket from Old Navy which is a plus 🙂 Thanks for today’s devotional. I lost my dad when I was 30. I don’t think that you can ever prepare yourself to lose a parent but 19 is such a young age and I am sure that you miss him terribly. I hope that your mom is doing well and please give her a hug for me! I pray that you have a wonderful day today and can continue to relax and enjoy your family. 🙂

Such a sweet comment today Kelly!! We have the floors to put down, painting, new countertops and painting of the cabinets in the kitchen. Those are the biggest things other than we are pulling a tub out from the extra bathroom and replacing it. It’s been a mess!! Anyway…it is hard losing a father and my first husband died of cancer this past summer( Chase’s father)- we were younger and he cheated, but we remained close friends. I remarried Raegan’s dad who was in remission snd he lost his fight when Raegan was 4 with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It has been a battle for them, but I have been able to help them deal with the loss better than I did in my younger years. Things happen because it’s Gods plan snd I try to keep that in mind. It’s hard, but we keep the faith. Love you young lady!! Praying for your family ❤️❤️

Hi Beverly, your weekly devotionals are the highlight of my weekend. I am looking to be more sustainable in my clothing choices and was hoping you could give us a post with shopping tips and clothing examples? I buy purses from Parker Clay, tennis shoes from Caruima but clothes are harder. Thank you!

Hi Beverly. Reading your devotional brought tears to my eyes. I don’t have a relationship with my dad. Seeing my kids have a relationship with their father is such a blessing to me and not only with their dad also with their Heavenly Father. It’s a yucky day here in the Houston Tx area but I’m tempted to get out and get me some of those outfits you have styled.. Enjoy your Sunday. I’m enjoying it with my hubby it’s his only day off. Take care ♥️

Hey Melanie!! I am praying for you!! I know it’s hard. My kids dad died of cancer and I can help them so much with the loss, however-it opens my eyes to spend more time working in my spiritual relationship also. It was a win for me 3 fold. Enjoy your day and your hubby 😜🥰❤️

Absolutely!! I’m working on a staple post, splurge or save post, and quite a few others. Plus, I think I might share how to look at an item to tell if the material will hold up. I’m going to check out purses and probably get some input from you girls. I have not purchased a designer purse since I was working in the corporate world. So it’s time to get one that will last for years. Be looking in the emails that will tell you when I’m going to need help lol!! Have a great day lovely ❤️❤️❤️

    • Beverly

Thanks Cindy! I thought I couldn’t be the only one who could get something from this. Especially since a lot of us girls have lost dads and husbands. I’m in both those groups and this helped me quite a bit. Love & hugs!!❤️

    Hi Beverly!
Love your devotional!! Your a special lady!! Your family is so blessed to have you in their life!!

I never knew my biological father. He died before I found out who he was. My mother kept it from me but through relatives I finally found out ten years ago when I was 50 years old. My step father was not a father to me at all. Abusive! That all being said, I have leaned on my Heavenly Father since a was a young girl. He is my true Father!! My god mother was a wonderful loving nurturing women who led me to the Lord at a young age knowing my conditions. I’m so very thankful!! So I never had a real father on earth, but that’s ok. My circumstances made me so much more closer to my heavenly FATHER!!

Oh Dinna, what a testimony you have!! Thank you for sharing, as I’m sure there are many of us girls who has suffered the loss if a father, went through abuse from dads, and so much more! God bless you!! What a living testimony!! Much love and hugs!!
