Fall Home Decor Finds From Target + More…

If you are like me, you may be ready to start decorating for Fall. I definitely am getting excited and have been shopping in stores and online to spruce up my home to make it fall ready. I love the pumpkins, wreaths, and all the smells that come along with fall…not to mention fall is my favorite time of the year for fashion!

I’m sharing some of my Target finds that I am loving!

Burgundy Wreath // Door Mat // Pillow // My Favorite Tray // Basket // Blanket // Thankful Tray // Faux Plant // Coffee Mug // Pumpkin // Wreath // Stem In Vase

While you are browsing around, let me show you what I found while shopping the Labor Day Sales. The cardigan/blazer is a staple piece and a classic! It can be worn with so many different outfits and this color is hardly ever on sale, and it’s 40% off right now! Use code BYESUMMER. See the cardigan and other colors here.

Another staple piece you may want to grab up is a neutral mule. These are some that I picked up and are on sale for under $45 right now and these are going fast. These come in a gold/bronze mix also, see the mule here.

Another item that I picked up was this leopard print cami from Target. If you don’t have a leopard camisole, it’s high time you grabbed one. This subtle touch of print and pop can take an ordinary outfit up 10 notches. It pairs perfectly with denim or for workwear outfits. Add the cardigan above with this cami, a great pair of jeans with booties or loafers for an easy classic fall outfit. See the camisole here.

Inspiration Sunday

If you have followed along for long, then you know that I have a son who is now almost 27 years old and I have told this story before. My daily devotion was on the prodigal son and I thought I would share a little of the story today.

While Chase was in his teenage years, it felt like hell had moved in with me and my son was gone. Chase accelerated in everything he tried, from school to sports, he wanted to do his best at everything. He was always making the paper for pitching shut out games or where he was at the top of his class in school.

Little did I know I would wake up one day to see my child had made the front page of our local paper…in a mugshot. Chase got up with the wrong crowd, started messing with drugs, and before long he had stopped going to school, and police coming to our home was becoming the norm.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” Luke 15:20b (NIV)

No matter what I did he would not listen and the stricter I was the madder he got. He rebelled in the worst way, from cursing me to punching holes in the walls, and then he stole from me. When he stole money from me I decided to throw him in jail and put him in a rehabilitation center for 6 months. I watched 7 kids die that year from overdosing to drunk driving to suicide. All these kids were in our small community and grew up along with Chase.

Chase completed his 6 months in a rehab center where only 1 in 4 graduate. It was a tough 6 months, but he persevered and made it. The prayers that went up for that kid are too many to count, between my mom and me – we were on a mission. We were not ceasing till we had a breakthrough.

If you have a prodigal child or grandchild, do not lose faith. Keep fighting the fight, keep loving them, and keep praying! Just when you think you can’t go any further, backup is on the way. The prodigal will come home!

Great sales Beverly but your redemption story of Chase is so much greater!!! I have been really busy at work and haven’t commented on your post lately. With all my work emails and busyness, by the time I get home, eat supper, clean kitchen etc., I finally look at my personal emails and then crash. You always bring a smile to my face and I enjoy all your outfits. I am glad that things are going better at home and everybody is well. My daughter came home from college over the weekend for a couple days so I got to spend a little time with her yesterday…..between her boyfriend and other family, friends etc., I will take any time I can get with her. I am going to take my mom out today for a Sunday drive, take her to the cemetery to visit my Dad’s grave, my Aunt and Uncle’s too, have her over for some burgers tonight and then take her out for ice cream. I am off from work tomorrow so I think my husband and I are going to take a ride to the beautiful NC mountains. I hope you and your family have a great weekend.
