2 Casual Weekend Outfits

If you are like me, you have been doing quite a bit of online browsing and shopping in the past few months. I’m trying to stay home and I have found that online shopping has been therapeutic for me, although it has hurt the wallet – still therapeutic lol! I have been trying to explore different boutiques and stores online, but I seem to go back to my faves. Anyone else like this?

Today I am showing a couple of outfits that have been perfect for the summer…casual, comfortable, and perfect for women over 40! The sleeveless sweater is a gorgeous taupe beige color, fits TTS, and an excellent styling piece. I styled this is a pretty light blue here. The jogger skirt is a Ponte midi pencil skirt with pockets! This Fits TTS, I am wearing a medium for reference, and comes in multiple colors. A perfect skirt to wear around the house or out on errands to stay cool during the hot months. Aren’t those pom-poms on the straw bag fun to wear in the summer? You girls liked the Bermuda shorts so much in the last post (read it here), I decided to try out the denim Bermudas and I have to admit it…I loved them! I have been wearing these for a while and they have a frayed hemline, this does fray more as you wear and wash. These are on sale for $19.99 right now! See the shorts here. These fit TTS (I am wearing an 8), are a little distressed and they are 9 inches long. I decided to go for a casual summer look and styled them with a classic button-down shirt. I’m going to take a moment to talk about this handbag. I ordered this from Amazon and really wasn’t sure if it was what I wanted, but I fell in love with it the moment I took it out of the box! It’s a perfect bag to throw all your things in and it is exceptionally cute with different outfits. It’s under $22, and the black and stripe pattern is ideal for the summer! See it here.

This is my second pair of B.O.C. sandals and I am totally sold on this brand! I picked these out to wear for casual outfits and mainly around the house when I’m running in and outdoors. The B.O.C. Eternia sandal is an easy slip-on sandal with a cushioned footbed that gives you all-day comfort. Well, that’s what the description said and I can attest that it is the truth! These come in black or brown, fit TTS, and make a great everyday sandal that you can wear all day long! See the sandal here.

Today is the day we get our new fence installed and I am elated! Since the old fence has been down it feels like I’m sitting in my neighbor’s back yard lol, so I’m ecstatic to enclose our backyard and let the dogs run free for a change.     Good Monday Afternoon! I ran a couple of errands this morning and that is about it. I don’t know how you order clothes online and get items that fit and/or are what you expect color wise and such when you get them. I ordered a red skort from JC Penney and had to take it back. I never wear red but thought that since it would be an item that wouldn’t be worn up by my face and hair that it might be fun. When I received it the red color was super bright and with a lot of orange undertones in it. I then ordered 2 pair of wedge sandals from Belk that were for a really great price so I got a neutral and red pair. I got these and tried them on to find that my toes felt as though they were pressed right up to the front of the shoe and the arch area didn’t line up with the arch of my foot. So back they went! I have never had good luck ordering any clothing or shoes from online and then feel as though I am wasting time driving to stores to do returns. Ugh!! I have some BOC brand shoes and love them. I hope you have a great week and tell Brooklyn that I think the clouds in her sky view picture look a little like a T-Rex 🙂

      Lol!! This made me smile 😊!! I read every review I can when I’m ordering online. I want to make sure about the fit and material etc. I’ve had a lot of things I’ve sent back. A lot!! Poor Barry has been doing my returns and I think he’s tired of being my assistant ha!! I feel kind of bad because he’s the one who has been doing most of the shopping and errands, now he’s having fatigue, headaches, low grade fever, and a slight cough —he’s getting a Covid test right now. The mono is not active in him ( so they say) so he’s got to get tested. Although he has the exact symptoms I’ve had since February. Pray for a clean test!! Oh, when ordering shoes I try and get them mainly from DSW because they always have reviews. It’s been really helpful when buying shoes. And…lol, if Brooklyn’s school doesn’t open up I’m coming back home to help her with virtual school and run the blog full time. I’m crossing my fingers 🤣🤣 I will tell her what you said about her clouds ❤️❤️😊

      Thanks!! The doctor seems to think the mono is active now. I’m so confused over this mono stuff. Hopefully that is all and no Covid ❤️❤️

    Your Brooklyn is a babydoll !!!! I read your comments to Kelly. I am praying for Barry and all of you. Our county in North Carolina is really rising due to Covid. I hope he feels better soon.

      Oh my gosh Lisa, it’s spreading but thankfully almost every case has been asymptomatic. Thank you for your kind words about Brooklyn-she decided to show you girls her and kilo.     Beverly….oh my word, we have been busy at work and I’m just now replying back. My daughter leaves in the middle of August. I will her so much. She will be 2 1/2 hours away so we will go up at see her on some weekends however she will be working too. Thank you for asking xoxo
