Shop My Closet: Mixing Casual & Dressy
This week I will be “Shopping My Closet” styling pieces for everyday looks with new and old items. A lot of times when we buy “outfits” we tend to stick to that particular outfit and not shake things or try different ideas. We tend to keep casual tops with casual bottoms, and dressier tops with dressier bottoms. We can mix it up and have fun with fashion. It’s all about expressing yourself, feeling comfortable in your clothes, and most importantly looking cute lol! Just kidding HA!!
I have always strived to keep my wardrobe both classic and trending, but on the affordable side. Every now and then I will splurge on higher dollar items, but that seems to be mostly with shoes and handbags. Anyone else like this? Today I am showing you how to mix casual and dressy with 2 outfits.
This Tiered Ruffle Sleeve Blouse is from Cato Fashions and is under $14! This type of blouse is a great choice for workwear or dressier occasions but can be worn with distressed jeans for an edgy look. This fits TTS, comes in 5 different color choices and I am wearing a medium. I chose to style it with my Distressed Rockstar Skinny Jeans (distressing shows no skin) and they fit TTS, I am wearing an 8 for reference. I added the lace-up rope sandals to give my outfit a little sex appeal since I was wearing this on a date with Barry. He liked it lol! Outfit Details: // Blouse // Jeans // Sandals
When I’m at home, I’m all about comfort, and every chance I get I seem to be slipping on these Adidas Adilette Slide Sandals. Girls, these sandals are LIFE! They are super comfortable and make running around my house so much more enjoyable. These do not come in 1/2 sizes, so size down. I’m still rocking those Rockstar jeans and added a cute Scoop Neck Woven Shell. These sandals can be worn with athleisure wear, shorts, and a tee, and yes…a woven shell and jeans! The Halogen Scoop runs small, so order a size up. I’m wearing a large instead of a medium. Outfit Details : // Scoop Tank // Jeans // Sandals
