A Sneak Peek of My Easter Dress

Happy Sunday morning girls! Wow! I have been watching the news and all I see is doom and gloom over this coronavirus. I have seen people lined up for groceries, toilet paper is totally MIA, schools closing, new bills being passed to assist people affected – panic is on the rise.

With panic comes fear and that is NO place for any of us to be. We have seen pandemics come and go and in the end, it will fade away. I put my trust in God, I believe he has me in the palm of His hand, and I trust HIm to get me through this and anything else the world throws at me.

Back in 2009, I was one of those that got H1N1, commonly known as the Swine Flu. Tamiflu was only being given out to children and people over 60, so I had to tough it out and let my immune system fight it off. They gave me nothing, no antibodies, only cough syrup. I was told to use a nasal nettie pot to flush my sinuses out every 2 hours (which worked!!!), take meds to keep my fever down and stay inside. My kids did not catch it, which was a blessing, and I hunkered down and had about 12 days that I will never forget. It was the sickest I have ever been with a cold or flu, and when it finally passed and I was able to go back to my normal way of living. We all survived and knowing I was ok and my kids were ok was all I wanted.

The good thing about these types of viruses is once you get, you are immune to it. After I had the swine flu, I did not catch a cold or have the flu for almost 7 years. It was 2016 before I ever had another cold; I don’t know what was in that virus, but it kicked my immune system into overdrive for a long time and I was loving that.

So remember this…

Possible Easter Dress???

I have a Spring and Summer Dress Try-On coming this week and I wanted to share one of my favorites. I have been looking for a new Easter dress and I loved this on the rack and I loved it more when I tried it on. So I’m sharing it early! This is the cutest dress I have seen in a long time, I love the small polka dots, the tie waist, and the flowy chiffon. It screams Easter, doesn’t it? Check this cutie out here, it fits TTS and it’s under $50! I am wearing a 10, my normal size for dresses.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by the blog! Remember, stay inside, eat at home, wash your hands, keep the faith, and don’t panic! XOXO

Have a blessed day!

That is a pretty dress on you! I hope you will get the chance to wear it for Easter Sunday church services. This morning we attended church via a live telecast over the internet. Thankfully we live in a time when a lot of things can be done via the internet. Thanks for sharing your experience with us about the swine flu. I am trying not to stress but because I have a compromised immune system and asthma it has been difficult not to stress. I think we have all that we need for food for ourselves and our pets to last for awhile. Troy is working remotely from home and I will not being going back to CVS until things have calmed down considerably. I have not feeling well for the past few days and I think that it may be something that I got from my mother-in-law or Troy because they have not been feeling well either. None of us have had a fever so it probably is some other sort of crud. I am praying for you and your family daily! Take care and be well 🙂
P.S. I am excited for you about a house hunt!

I have been thinking about you because I know your immune system is compromised. Girl, you stay in and chill for a while!! I have a little breathing issues with allergies but I’m trusting I will be fine. I’m rethinking this work thing now lol!! When you’re at home all the time it’s so easy to “stay safe”, but when you are constantly coming in contact with sick people like you were, it’s hard to fight off those germs. I attended church virtually today too!! Not the same, but it was nice to watch in my pjs lol!! Stay safe lovely girl ❤️
