Getting Fit In 2020

It seems every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas I am doomed to put on a few pounds. I have pushed caution to the wind and indulged in every delight and delicatessen that came across my nose or fingers. I told you girls how much my family loves sausage balls and I believe I literally ate my weight in those babies!

So starting Monday, I am joining my niece on the FASTer Way To Fat Loss program for an additional round. Last year you may remember that I did a round that started in early March and lost about 20 lbs. Then Barry decided to jump on board and he lost 2 pant sizes. After seeing how well both of us did on the program, my mother came on board and lost a whopping 30 lbs and she is still losing!

The Program

Let me explain this program a little so you understand. First, let me say that I was a LOVER of Weight Watchers and worked that plan for years, but something changed when I was in my late 40’s and losing weight was NOT so easy anymore. Barry tried Nutrisystem and did ok on that, but he did not care for the small portions at all.

I watched a few blogger friends go on this program and they lost fat – I could literally see them shrinking down. I was intrigued, but reluctant. I finally gave in last February and signed up and it was the BEST decision I ever made. Barry actually paid for this as a gift to me, so I had to make sure I learned it and worked it. Little did I know I was going to shrink back to my old self – all while eating a lot of food!

This program is a carb cycling and intermittent fasting program designed by Amanda Tress. Amanda teaches you how to burn fat and start living a healthier lifestyle. Her program teaches you whole food nutrition, with strategic workouts ( I did not do the workouts last time, but will be this time) and macro tracking.

Now Is The Time!

This is historically the largest FASTer Way To Fat Loss round of the year. Everyone is pushing those New Year’s Resolutions and let’s face facts – getting weight off is always in the top 3 for most women! Statistics say that 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail. So why not invest in yourself and a program that is the Premier Virtual Intermittent Fasting Fitness and Nutrition Program?

What I liked most about this program is accountability. There were thousands of people who joined me last March, then they broke us down into small groups of about 50 people on Facebook. Each day our coach was there to help and guide us, for me this made all the difference in the world. I needed that person I had to engage in daily.

This is a 6 weeks program and I have been able to keep off the weight since last April. Since I did indulge in goodies the past few months, I decided to sign back up and go through the program with my sweet niece and be a helping hand to her.

If you are looking for a program that allows you to eat – and I mean eat a lot – to the point, there will be days that you feel like you can’t eat another bite – then this is for you! I remember when my husband and mom started and they both said, “there is no way you can lose weight and eat like this.” Well…yeah you can and they found out that you can. I told my mom later on that I didn’t think God put all these great fruits and vegetables on this Earth for us to sit around and eat grass to stay healthy!

If you don’t like starving, want to lose fat, get healthier, drop dress sizes, feel better about yourself, then join Kaitlin and me Monday for the next round of FWTFL and start New Year’s off with dropping fat and building self-confidence. Check it out here.

You look fabulous Beverly!!!! Thank you for sharing FWTWL. I have thought about joining however, my budget is tight as my daughter is a freshman in college. I know what I need to do and that is cut way down, I mean waaaayyy down on sweets. Do you know if you have to have social media because I do not? This may sound crazy but I do not want it. I barely get my Bible study done (which I am really behind on through Christmas), work full time, etc. My daughter and one of my sons have it. Honestly, it is time consuming. There is so much comparison with what people have and don’t have…all the “likes” you get, etc. My youngest adult son just closed out his accounts and wants to concentrate more on his Bible and read more inspirational books. It just seems like now-a-days you have to join a group on social media to be included. I apologize if I sound negative. I am getting close to my mid 50s and I need to take better care of myself so I will pray about FWTWL. As always, I enjoy your blog, your family stories and your inspiration. I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store for 2020. ~Lisa~

I totally agree about social media!! I’m in there long enough to post my stuff and I’m off!!!! If I get bored I will hop on but that it. As far as social media you will need to be on Facebook but it’s not to consuming at all. You will get notifications when your coach posts in the group , there are live videos to watch that will explain A LOT!!! Then pretty much you’re on there checking in with your coach. If you’d like to ready what others have said that are in your group you can read that, but it’s not a necessity. This is truly a wonderful plan and I’m soooo glad I joined last Feb!! It’s made the biggest difference and I finally feel comfortable sitting down. Ugg!! The struggle was real at times lol!! Hope to see you in the program!

Good morning! Troy and I arrived safely back home late yesterday. I didn’t gain any weight over the holidays since I don’t eat dairy, gluten or sugar year round it is easy for me to stay at a healthy weight. However, I do plan on making sure that I add more exercise into my daily schedule. I absolutely loved the water aerobics class that I attended in Florida so I am going to research and see if there is anything like that offered in my area. Today and tomorrow I work 3-10 so I won’t get much done around here this weekend. Troy and I will be taking his mom to see the new Star Wars movie on Monday. I have to work 8-3 on New Years Day so we won’t be doing anything New Years Eve. New Years Day is our anniversary and we will celebrate it another day soon since I have to work. It will be 18 years for us.Troy is off from work until January 7th so we will be making progress on cleaning and organizing our garage and shed. I absolutely love the time after Christmas when everyone is focused on cleaning and organizing because that is my jam!! I hope you have a great weekend and look forward to seeing what you have in store for us in 2020.

You always make me smile!! Organizing is your jam!! Lol Girl, I absorbed all foods through the holidays! Ha!! I really like the water aerobics idea!! Who knew there are 2 near me and I live in a small city! I’m glad you guys are home safe and sound – enjoy your days off!!! Plus your Anniversary ❤️❤️❤️

I am seriously thinking about joining. I really don’t have much to lose but have wanted to try this for sometime. I usually do WW plan or count calories. I walk about four miles a day and never have enjoyed “workouts”. What us really required in the workout aspect of this plan?

    • Beverly

They offer easy workouts for beginners that you can do at home ( they have videos if you want to do them) , it’s low impact such as walking all the way to the high intensity workouts. I didn’t do anything hardly my first round but I’m going to at least do the medium workouts. You can do it at home or in a gym, so that rocks!! If you do the workouts the day really falls off. It’s only 30 minutes 5 times a week. You will love it Jalisa-I will post things I eat on the blog do you girls will have ideas too!! I will make a separate page for all of us!! Come on 2020!! Lol

I’m starting tomorrow though since I know the ends and outs. Download the app!! It’s got great recipes ❤️❤️ Good luck girl!! In 2-3 weeks you will totally notice a change in your body!!
