1 Skirt Styled 11 Ways For Easy Winter Looks

Today we are talking about a classic! The little black skirt. If you girls are like me, you get in a rut and you pair up the same things over and over again without even thinking about it. I have been known to do this a time or two…

We probably all have a black skirt in our closets, so pull them out and let’s start figuring out new ways to wear it. You can take this one piece and work with other pieces in your closet and develop a huge wardrobe. I took my skirt and came up with 11 outfits and I could have kept going, but I was getting tired of changing my clothes ha! Let’s get started!

First up is a simple black sleeveless media shirt with a red and black buffalo check scarf. I styled it with the ever-so-popular black faux leather jacket and beige over the knee boots.

I switched out my tank and added an “Animal Lover” graphic tee (these are limited so I linked similar below) with a denim jacket.

Throw a ruana (wrap or poncho – we all call them different things) over a black turtleneck and you switch up the look for a more dressier and chic look.

My hair is a tad “bouffy” is that a word? It’s been raining cats and dogs here, so we stayed inside to take pictures. Too much root boost? LOL!

A few weeks ago I did a Try-On Haul and this sweater made it in the session. I wear this sweater a lot with jeans but decided I was going to try it with a skirt and I liked the look. What say you?

I changed the turtleneck out for an elbow sleeve ribbed knit sweater (I sized up to a Large so it was looser) and added a leopard scarf. I could add a long red wool coat like this and look cute for Christmas!

Throw on a denim jacket for a more sporty look. I love this one!

Go a little more casual with a denim jacket, cognac boots, and a cute red plaid scarf.

I wanted a totally different look, so I added a long cardigan/duster in cranberry, black sleeveless media tank, and a black and white plaid blanket scarf tied loosely around my neck.

Wrap that blanket scarf around your shoulders for a chic look, I have the tank on, but a black top or turtleneck would look very classy!

Do you remember the super cozy and soft Cowl Bell Sleeve Sweater from my last Try-On? Well, I loved it with the black skirt and beige boots! You can add a long necklace to dress it up a bit more also.

Do you remember this camel turtleneck and sherpa vest from yesterday? It’s cute with jeans and boots and I loved it with this skirt and tall boots!

Functionality is what we need when building a wardrobe. Classic pieces that can be worn multiple ways saves us space in our closet and swipes on the debit card! LOL! I hope this post gave you some ideas of things you can put together from your closet!

I am off to find something sweet and loving for Barry, maybe golf balls or something like that (that’s a loving gesture for him!). Honestly, I have no idea what to get him last minute. I don’t think socks will work – any ideas girls?? Help a girl out!

Have a blessed day!

Happy Anniversary to you Beverly and Barry!!!! So special 🥰. I really like this post of showing the many ways you can wear a piece of clothing. I am sure it is time consuming so thank you. I really like the buffalo plaid scarf and animal print scarf ensembles. Enjoy your day. ~Lisa

Happy Anniversary to you! Love seeing the different outfits. No ideas on a gift. We never exchanged gifts for our anniversary. We just go out to a nice restaurant. Been married for 25 and together for 34 years.

Yeah I’m thinking he might be getting a card. Lol!! We’re going out to eat Thursday with his sister since it’s her birthday, I don’t know what we will do. I’m kinda thinking nothing!! Lol. I’m a Debbie downer ha!!

Happy Anniversary to you sweet girl and to Barry! We’ve been married 38 years and together 39 and no gift ideas from me either as we stopped gift-giving quite a few years back. We usually go to a movie and to a nice restaurant where we can get a glass of wine! You put SO much work into this post and there wasn’t a look that I didn’t like; if I had to choose I like the turtleneck and sherpa vest with those boots, and I like the the jean jacket with the two scarves. And…dare I admit that I don’t own a black skirt~~ I use the word poofy for too much volume but your hair is long enough to get away with that much poof and still look beautiful! Enjoy your anniversary celebration!

I love posts like this that give so much inspiration. A black skirt is a workhorse. I saw this on my Bloglovin’ email and thought the title was Winter Socks…LOL I thought that’s weird, but okay. HAHAHAHA!!!! XOXO

Happy Anniversary Beverly and Barry!! I pray that you have many more years of love and happiness 🙂 Troy and I have an anniversary coming up on New Years Day. We will be celebrating our 18th year. Sorry that I am late in commenting today but I worked 8-3 today. I told them that I would fill in when needed so I will be working Friday too. I have to admit that I don’t have a black skirt either. I love the one with the camel turtleneck and the sherpa vest. I have been so sick again since Friday and today I am finally feeling a bit better. I have an appt with my Naturopathic doctor tomorrow then I will be seeing a Functional Medicine doctor on Thursday. I am praying to get some answers soon! Glad that your family is doing better. What did your Mom find out at her doctor? Have a wonderful night!

I liked that outfit too!! It’s very wintry looking. You’ve got a lot going on, hope you find some answers in these dr appointments. Mom goes to the dr Thursday, I think I got the dates wrong lol. She’s getting things done around her house, she has surprised me with her ingenuity. She’s doing a few exercises do she won’t get stuff and it’s been helping. Prayers for you gurl!!❤️❤️
