Tops, Sweaters, & Jackets Try-On Haul

Hello Thursday and hello to all of you! I hope your week has been going well. It’s very cold here right now and that makes me want homemade soup. Does your crowd love homemade soup on cold or chilly days? My little crew loves it! Do you have any easy recipes for soups?

I’m jumping right into the Try-On Haul today since there are a lot of items. As my followers know, we stop in at Belk every week for the Doorbusters because they are changing up deals constantly. Barry needed jeans and I was looking for a few new items to add to my wardrobe also. The sweater that I am wearing is from Walmart (on sale for $11) and you can see it here. I am linking the jeans -here, booties (they are on sale) here, and the black backpack is here – it’s also on sale under $55 from Nordstrom! All these items will be in the Shop The Post below. **All items fit TTS

First up is a lightweight Parka Jacket that comes in 3 more colors. This is a great silhouette for any outfit. I love the drawstring around the waist also. See the jacket and other colors here.

I am a chenille lover and it started making a comeback last Fall. This rust color is still having a moment, so I decided to add this Chenille Sweater to my pile. It comes in 3 other colors and makes for a perfect sweater to keep you warm on cold days. Add a scarf and a moto jacket to really make it pop! See it here.

This Mock Neck sweater will be a favorite for a lot of women. I love red and it reminds me of the holidays, which brings me holiday cheer lol! This is a great piece to layer with a vest or jacket, add jeans, booties, and a scarf and you are set for the weekend. See the sweater here and the other colors.

If you are looking for a thinner sweater to layer, this is really soft and is very flattering for any figure. It comes in 9 more colors – see it here. This would look cute with a vest and a denim jacket with a pair of knee-high boots. Layer it up a bit more with a great plaid scarf!

This was my favorite look out of all the items. I love the vest with a pop of red paired with the black plaid boyfriend shirt. This could be worn to work with slacks then changed at night with a cute pair of jeans and booties. See the vest here and the boyfriend shirt here.

I wanted to show a look using my backpack – I think it’s really cute and trendy for the cooler season. See the backpack here. Backpacks are trending if you don’t have one as a stand by – this is a GREAT one for a great price!

I found one of the softest cowl neck sweatshirt with bell sleeves. When I say soft – I mean SOFT! This will keep you warm on a chilly day or night and it is a great piece for work also. Add some cigarette pants and heels for an updated casual style that is on point! See the top here.

I loved the colors of this sweater! I think it’s pretty obvious that cowl neck or mock neck sweaters are very popular this season. If the peach and rust is not your thing, check out the other colors here. Wouldn’t this look cute with khaki or white jeans and knee-high or over the knee boots?

If you remember the camo cozy sweater (I styled with leggings with booties and sneakers) you can read it here, then you will love this heather gray version also. The camo top has been a number one fave on the blog and this one will look super cute with jeans or camo leggings for a casual look. Stay tuned because I’m going to be styling this different ways this week also. See the sweater here.

Who doesn’t love a super cuddly coat? This leopard furry coat is so cozy! I promise if you put it on and walk outside with the wind blowing you will stay toasty warm! See the cute fuzzy coat here. And it’s leopard! I don’t know many women who doesn’t love leopard!

If leopard is not your thing and you want a coat that can be worn more often, then try this black style. This is a great option for every day and a cute coat for church or dressier occasions. See it here.

Which look was your favorite?

You always make trying on clothes look like fun! Funny how I don’t have that same smile when I’m in the dressing room…LOL Anyway, looks like you had options for a lot of cute new tops. The black shirt with red vest is very cute. I’m glad that you said that you said cowl and mock necks are popular this season as I have always loved them. For awhile it has been putting a scarf around my open neck but I’m kind of wanting a change and I’ve always been a fan of turtlenecks so I love that the mock and cowl neck are back. I could eat soup every day, but not my hubby, so I pretty much like any kind of soup. I want to work in the kitchen today and try and get at least one cabinet cleaned out and rearranged. We will see if that happens. I get side-tracked pretty easy.

I love turtleneck tops!! Covers my aging neck lol!! It’s so funny that you are organizing cabinets. I’m about to reorganize my cabinets with my pots and pans. Why do they get messed up so easy? ( I’m assuming my kids are at fault ha!). I’ve got a lot of clothes coming this week and next. I get excited about styling new clothes coming ha!! I can already tell shipments are slowing down due to the holidays. Can’t wait for my soup!! I love it!! ❤️❤️❤️ Have a great day lovely girl🤗

Good morning! I have to agree with Sandy about the dislike of dressing rooms. I don’t know that I have ever looked forward to going into one. I am like you both and love turtleneck shirts and sweaters. Growing up in N.H. I would wear them quite a lot by themselves or layered under other clothing. This year I am really loving olive and rust colored items. I think my favorite today would be the Leopard Furry Coat. I am still taking it easy and may go out to do a quick errand later if I feel up to it. Hope you have a wonderful and productive day at the storage unit!

Isn’t that leopard coat so cute!! It felt like heaven lol! I hope you feel better soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!

Before I started doing the blog I never tried clothes on. I could look at an item and tell if it would fit. But, when I’m waiting on clothes to come in the mail it’s always good to keep try ons handy for blog posts. We have a method now, Barry looks in his department and I pick out a few things to try on. By the time I’m done he’s ready to go. He doesn’t like the mall though. I’m heading to JCPENNEY this week to check them out. I haven’t been there in awhile. Start feeling better soon and take it easy!!!💕

I am new to your blog and just read your “About Me” section. Girl, I almost fell over when I read that you’re 50. I thought you were in your late 20’s! You look fabulous and I love your style. I’m in my mid 60’s and I never want to dress old because I am still young at heart. Now, I don’t want to look like a teenager but you hit the mark for the look I am going for. I anxiously await your post every day to see what you are wearing. I have already ordered the cute Target flannel shirt you were wearing the other day with jeans. Again, thanks for a great blog and showing us how to put together a great outfit.

I just recently started following your blog. I am thoroughly enjoying it. You are gorgeous and such a genuine person. You have so many great choices today. I have purchased several items that you styled. I have a lot of the same taste in clothing and accessories. What I really like about what you wear is your clothes are affordable. I am also looking forward to your Holiday outfits too. I enjoy your recipes as well. I appreciate your time and sharing your styles. ~Lisa~
