Corduroy Is Back This Fall!
Happy Hump Day girls! Hope your week is going well, mine has been a tad bit chaotic. I told you girls that Brooklyn was here since Friday and she just left last night. My hats are off to all the Moms out there! I sure have forgotten how much work it is to have a child with your 24/7. I look back and wonder how I managed to raise 2 children, go to college, work and stay sane. So Moms….keep your roll going, you’re rocking it!! We all need to hear that every now and then!!
I had to hurry up and put these rust corduroy skinny pants on the blog because they fit and wear so well. It was a little warm on the day we took these pictures, so I opted to wear a short sleeve cardigan with the cheetah print tank that is now online at Old Navy. And girls, this tank is very popular! It’s a great way to incorporate a little animal print into your outfit, no matter if it’s casual or dressy.

I am wearing a size 8 in the pants and they bend when you bend and they stretch when you need them to stretch. When I first put them on, I thought “uh-oh these may be to snug”, but they aren’t. They are made to fit and to be comfortable. If you like them looser then I would suggest going up a size. These do stretch out some as you wear them. See them here.
I wanted my handbag (similar here) to really pop, so I decided on this cute white leather bag with black and tan trim. I thought the colors really looked good together. I bought this one last year, but found some similar and posted them below. There are 2 widgets that range in prices, so check them out – I found some really cute ones!!
When I did the Try-On Haul, read it here, I said I really liked these booties in that post and I wasn’t going to waste time – I styled them with the rust cords and loved it. These wore very good while I was running errands, the heel height is no more than an inch (I’m guessing), its a perfect shoe for Fall when you don’t want to wear heels.
If you want a different look with this outfit, a denim jacket would really give it some contrast and still classy and trendy.

You are so right about having a quite cup of coffee with NO interruptions. I’m right there with you and I think only coffee drinkers understand that…LOL You put the cutest things together and this outfit screams FALL! I haven’t worn corduroy in years and yes, I am ready to hop back on that wagon!! If you want to be a little dressier but yet casual, cords are perfect for that! You are going to get a lot of wears out of that blouse for sure!!! Enjoy your day at home and talk about busy…you have been a busy grandma if you had Brooklyn since Friday and those little ones definitely wear you out(but in a good way) Good luck with your garage project. Back to the field for me!

I love this outfit too!! And you’re right, that blouse was a good purchase!! It’s raining here today and it’s so dreary! Ugggg!!! But that’s ok, this mom has PLENTY to do inside. Alone!! 😂. Brooklyn’s mom and dad are working extra hours ( that’s why I’m keeping her more than usual) to give her a big trip on her 5th birthday ( Disney)!! Barry and I were going to plan a family trip to take her next year and those kids sneaked right in and took our idea 😂😂. It’s cooling off a lot here today “woohoo” -have a great day Sandy!!

Good morning! I really like this outfit and I love corduroy pants but haven’t bought any in years. I have seen a lot of them in stores and online recently and thought about getting a pair but with 4 cats and 3 dogs I would probably look as though I were wearing fur pants. I thought that I was going to have the next 3 days off but it turns out that I just get today and tomorrow. I have sooo much to do!! I already have a second cake baking right now and I have been doing some deep down cleaning. I am still in my pj’s and may stay that way until I am done 😉 I hope you enjoy your quiet and productive day!

I’m still drooling over the cake!!! I love the comments and getting to know everyone. When we had a cat, I had to keep a lint brush with me constantly. I miss her, she passed away from old age awhile back. We have Kilo ( Chase’s dog) that sheds but not too bad. The other two get groomed. I don’t envy you deep cleaning, I’m still in the process, I start and stop in rooms 😂. Enjoy your day and btw-I look forward to hearing from you girls. I feel like you’re my work besties lol

Good morning! It’s a rainy Sunday morning here in Sanford, NC. I’m spending a few minutes catching up on emails and just read this post. The cheetah print tank is on sale today at Old Navy and so is the green dress you styled a few days ago. I was able to get them both at 40% off!!!! The mustard vest is on sale as well. I love the rust pants. I may use the ON Super Cash I just earned to get them next week! Score!
