Girl!!!!! I told you that cake is a favorite of ours!!! Mmmmmm!!! Mmmmmmm!!!! Good!!! You are so right about the mess and organization. I’ve got to work on my kids. They were so much neater when they were 18 and younger!!! Ha!!!! Happy Sunday sweet lady!!! I’m so glad the cake was a hit!!

Oh my gosh…I wish o lived closer for leftovers lol!!! We have been outside playing frisbee this afternoon. Lordy, it wire me out, but it was fun to have everyone out there playing. But Raegan, she’s having another “bout” of something female related. I will be glad when they figure her out!!! Sounds like you had a great week!! I’m so happy for you!! Mine is better today lol!!!

But…I agree with Kelly in that we both miss that chaos now that the kids aren’t here and both of us have kids that don’t drop in every day or live with us. But…I am like you and NEED things organized and picked up so if the chaos was on a daily/weekly basis it would drive me nuts!!!!!!! I know when the grandkids are here, it is like a tornado went through the whole house and even though I don’t mind it for a week, I would have to have organization if I had family members here all the time. I have to pause too and count my blessings for the messes when you see so many people going through way worse things. I know it is just our nature and I think it is ok to just need and have some “me” time every once in awhile. There is no shame in that. I have to tell you your chocolate cake recipe was DELICIOUS !!!!! Today we had it with a side of ice cream ;).

It has been controlled chaos here for the past few days and I am loving it!! Usually it is just me,Troy and my mother-in-law and way too quiet. We have had a wonderful time with the girls and grand kids. We went to an indoor adventure park where I stepped outside of my comfort zone and did height related activities. We shopped, played kickball and board games, watched a movie, baked, danced, got silly numerous times and the height of it was to all worship together in church this morning 🙂 One daughter wore a brand new dress to church that I hadn’t worn yet and the other wore a brand new pair of my shoes. I know that you deal with this all of the time with Raegan but I miss those times with my girls now that we are so far apart so guess who will be going back to Florida with a new dress and the other with new shoes? LOL! I just finished putting together lasagna for dinner, brownies for dessert and peanut butter fudge for the girls to take home for them and their hubby’s. Enjoy the mess and chaos while you can cause it doesn’t last forever and I hope your weekend has been a great one after all!

You are not alone. I feel exactly the same way, and like you, the overwhelming times seem to happen the most on weekends when there are huge male teddy bears in my house, called husband and step-sweeties. Clothes everywhere, dirty dishes, and empty cartons in the fridge abound! Plus constant trips to the grocery store. Recently I saw a sign for a bathroom that says, “We want to change the world. BE that change and replace the toilet paper roll!” Maybe we moms need one of those in every bathroom? Would they even see it? Haha! Anyway, hang in there and have a great weekend.
