Summer Dresses From Macy’s

Happy Friday ladies! I have been a little MIA this week due to the ole dreaded migraines again! Between all the cleaning, reorganizing, and the weather…I think I worked myself into a doozy of a migraine. I have been sleeping it off for a few days, but I’m feeling much better today. Still a little groggy from the medicine, but that will soon pass…hopefully LOL! Anyone else dealing with migraines? If so, drop a comment below on what is working for you, if you will.

A few weeks ago, I was at Macy’s looking for a new dress and I found some real cuties. This Lauren by Ralph Lauren was my favorite of all the dresses I tried on. It fit perfect, the length was right at my knees, and it’s just a very flattering dress. I loved the flutter sleeves and the polka dot design helps camouflage anything I might want to cover up. See it HERE. Be sure to check out the LAST ACT on clearance dresses right now…they are marked down a lot! Shop the LAST ACT HERE.

This dress is on sale right now and if you are looking for a perfect summer dress, then this one is a winner!

Since we are planning a family vacation at the beach soon, I decided to look for a dress that I could wear now and on vacation. I found this cute Alfani Smocked Waist Satin Midi Dress that comes in this pretty blue and black. See it HERE. These are on sale for around $50, but they have a red color that is clearance for under $25 HERE. I’ve shown both colors below…aren’t they so cute! These are thinner but very comfortable and the bottom hem has handkerchief detail that I loved!

The next dress I tried on was one of my favorites, I loved the color, the fit…only one thing I did not like about it. The wrap part of the dress at the bust was VERY open. I would need to wear a camisole underneath this, or a Spanx tank. This is by Jessica Howard and is on sale for around $60, see it HERE. The material is like a jersey type material and it hangs perfectly on the body. I am wearing an 8 and I think if I went up a size the bust would have probably fit better on me.

Special Mention – NY&Co

NY & Co was right beside Macy’s at the mall soI stepped in and checked out their sale also. I’m sharing my favorite outfit as a “Special Mention” today. NY&CO is having a 50% OFF storewide sale right now, shop that HERE.

These High-Waisted Pull-On Crop Pant in leopard print was a “stepping out of my comfort zone” pick. Girls, I LOVED them! They are under $25 now and well worth it! These ranked at a 10 for me, see them HERE. I paired it with a cute Coral Off-The-Shoulder Blouse, but I wore it on the shoulder. It is made to be worn both ways, doesn’t it look cute with the leopard print crops? See the top HERE, it’s under $28 right now!

What was your favorite dress? And what are your thoughts on the leopard print pants? I can’t wait to hear what you girls think!!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and I hope you girls have a great weekend! Since I’m so rested up, I will be trying to get back to my normal routine. I keep saying that… Hmmmm! I will be sharing pics of all the things I have done next week to see what you girls think! Happy Weekend!! XOXO

You know sometimes the headaches are caused by something you are eating or an ingredient that is in something you are eating. Hope you get to feeling better.

I think the polka dot is my favorite and OMG…I had to laugh when I saw the photo of you and the green dress with the exclamation point in the V of the dress!! I can’t wear dresses like that since I don’t have enough on top to fill them out…LOL I actually like the leopard print pants; not saying that I can wear skinny pants, but they sure look good on you. Glad you are feeling better so you can get back into routine. I think most of us like our routines. I wish I had suggestions for your migraines but I don’t. I never thought of something that you are eating could be the cause of them either. Interesting. Have a great weekend. It’s in the 90’s here again today and I’ve been busy making rolled out sugar cookies, taco dip and deviled eggs for a family reunion tomorrow.

Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering!!! Barry noticed that my skin looked funny on my legs today. I’m dehydrated!! So I’m drinking more fluids! I laughed out loud when I read your comment about the green dress. 😂😂 I don’t have much up top to fill that dress out ha!! I really liked the leopard pants lol, way out of my comfort zone !!!

I am so sorry to hear that you have been having migraine issues again! I would definitely look into food allergies to see if that could be triggering them. Also, I was thinking (but may be wrong) did the migraines start up around the time that you changed your diet for weight loss? If so, maybe you are having something new or more of something that you are sensitive to? I hope you find out soon and I will be praying for you for sure! I went to my previous doctor yesterday because I was tired of not getting anywhere with my new doctor. I tested positive for a virus and for Influenza B. I made an appt for Troy today and we went back and guess what? He tested positive for the same. I wanted both of us to go because we have had the same sort of symptoms and I had a feeling that we have just been passing it back and forth. I think that I initially caught it back at the end of May and into June when I had the horrible asthma issues and ended up going to the ER. I began to do better but then got sick again with the same sort of symptoms but yet not quite as severe. Anyway, I am praying that we both feel better very soon. As for the dresses, I like them all but think that the green one is actually my favorite if you can find a size that fits better in the chest area but I love the color of the blue dress. I think the Leopard print pant outfit is super cute on you and they look really comfy! I will be working 3-10 Saturday, Sunday and Monday then work 8-3 on Tuesday and the Florida kids arrive Tuesday afternoon. I have soooo much to do that I haven’t been able to work on due to the illness. Praying that I can get it all done! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and continue to feel better!!!
Sandy what you are making sounds so yummy and I hope you have a great time at the family reunion!

Kelly…I am so sorry that you did not get a super good report at the Dr. today but hopefully you have meds that will kick in so that you can do what you need to this weekend to prepare for your kids coming home plus the fact that you just want to feel better to enjoy your time with them. Try to take rest breaks while you are getting things ready so you don’t get run down. Hope you feel better soon.

Sandy!! Oh my word girl, no wonder you have been feeling bad! Praying you snd Troy get better soon. I hate being sick, especially in the summer!! I have always had migraines, but they usually were only in the Spring time and once in awhile in the Fall. I’m going back to the doctor next week because I don’t think I have gotten over my sickness from last November. All the sinus issues, breathing issues and these headaches— uggg!!! Anyway, like you, I’m praying for both of us. You got a lot to do cause you have company coming!! How exciting ❤️ Prayers pretty girl!!
