How To Style a Romper 5 Ways
Happy Hump Day ladies! Today I am styling a romper 5 different ways, from very casual to…maybe a tad dressed up. I must admit, I had to really look in my closet to see what I had to get some inspiration for outfit ideas. I did start out with the post going to be 3 ways, but I soon decided on 5 different ways.
Before we start I want to say that I did absolutely NOTHING yesterday while Brooklyn was here. I asked her once to put her shoes on so we could get out of the house a little and she looked up at me and said, “I really want to stay here grandma”. How could I say no, lol! So I piddled in my closet and found more ideas for the post!
I found this Time and Tru navy romper at my local Walmart store. I looked it online and could not find it, so I’m assuming they have already sold out online. It is very comfy, so if you can find one, I know you will love it! Plus the shorts part of it are mid-thigh on me and I’m 5’7″, so they are a good conservative length. I did find some really cute alternatives in the Shop The Post below.

I found a nice Oatmeal cardigan by Time and Tru at Walmart also. They have a variety of colors and they wear great! They wear so well I will probably go and get more. They are only $13.00 and come in sizes S-XXL. I am wearing a Medium for reference and have plenty of room. This will be a great add-on piece for the Fall with jeans or white pants! I haven’t styled a kimono in a long time and it was in the back of my closet. After Brooklyn decided we weren’t going shopping (sigh), I found this little number I almost forgot about! You can throw a kimono over anything and give your outfit a little more jazz! As I was trying this on, I thought this would be a really cute outfit with a long fitted knit skirt, black top and a belt like this, what do you think? Plus it’s only $4.99!!
I can’t leave out the beloved short sleeve cardigan! Ladies honestly, these little cardigans are perfect for anything and anywhere! This is an ice blue color, see it HERE, wouldn’t a yellow look cute with this?! If you are ever in doubt about adding another layer of clothing, always go with a cardigan – it’s a timeless piece and you can’t go wrong.
If you want a hippy look or boho chic, try an olive utility jacket. This one is lightweight and you can roll the sleeves up on chilly nights. This is more like a thicker shirt than a jacket, and I have gotten a lot of wear out of this since I purchased it in February. perfect transition piece! See the Utility Jacket HERE.

I didn’t think I’d like rompers at my age but found cute one on Amazon. You actually have it under your shop the look. I ended up getting 2 it was so comfy and it was age appropriate. As usual you’ve given me several ways to wear it. Happy Wednesday 😊

Oh I love this romper and I have to admit that I would love slipping into this after my evening shower to laze out in the recliner!! I am SO impressed and think it was a blessing in disguise that Brooklyn didn’t want to go out because look at all the wonderful things you came up with for different looks by shopping your closet. I LOVE them all and they are all so do-able. Bummed that the romper is sold out so may have to check my area walmarts to see if there are any on the racks yet. I too love the ice blue cardigan with the navy…two beautiful colors together. I had breakfast with a friend, went to visit my mom and doing bookwork again this afternoon. Will I ever catch up~~sigh~~

This romper is sooo cute! I’m not sure how I would look in a romper since I have never worn one. Since it is so inexpensive if I didn’t like it well enough to wear it out and about at least I could wear it to lounge around the house in like Sandy suggested. I like all of the looks and I was surprised how cute it looks with the olive utility jacket since I never would have thought to try that. I am super tired since working last night, getting maybe 4-5 hours of sleep then going back in to work 8-3 today. Hopefully this comment makes sense. 😉 Have a great night!!
