Perfect Summer Date Night Outfit

Happy Memorial Day!! I hope everyone has had a great long weekend so far. I missed yesterday’s post and I certainly missed talking to you girls. It got a bit crazy here and my hands stayed full the entire day. Barry and Chase worked this weekend, Raegan had a horrible flare up with endometriosis and I had Brooklyn. We didn’t get to go shopping, but I did manage to get her to help me deep clean the kitchen. We washed walls, cleaned and polished cabinets, rearranged furniture and it wore us both out! I just knew Barry was going to be impressed when he got home. He walked in, got him something to eat, and never noticed. We had to point out furniture that had been moved and ladies…it was big pieces of furniture HA! He is oblivious to his normal surroundings HAHA!

Since I wasn’t able to head out and shop for a cute holiday outfit, I decided to share a really cute red floral blouse outfit with you. It’s the closest thing I had to red, white and blue. I will be styling jean outfits this week, but I really wanted to get in some workwear, date night and church outfits for everyone. I know we all have different jobs and the dress guidelines are different for us all.

There are a few things I LOVE about this blouse. It stands out, the pattern is gorgeous and the bow-tie makes this top pop! If sleeveless is not for you, no worries, I have found some other options for you below.

This top hits at the hip and has an elastic hem – so it can be worn outside like a bubble hem, or easily tucked inside. This is from New York & Company and it does not disappoint! It has a self-tie bow, so you can make it as tight or loose as you prefer. It is lined and it’s 100% polyester. It comes in sizes XS-XXL and is $44.95, but NY&CO is still having that fantastic 50% off SALE!! So it’s only $22.47 right now! That’s a steal to me! This would be gorgeous worn as a shell underneath a jacket or cardigan. Another option is to wear it with jeans and or a skirt. I looked a white skirt everywhere in my size and come up empty! I will tell you that this top ran a bit large on me and I did not notice until we were through that I accidentally ordered a Large instead of a Medium, so make sure you stick to your regular size. See the Blous HERE.

I chose High-Waist Pull-On Crop Pant that feels amazing on! These do fit a little snug, I am wearing a Medium but probably would have opted for a Large. I do not like wearing skin-tight pants and I do not care if they get a little saggy. I just am at the age, I do not like really “fitting” pants, so I normally go up a size. They do feel really good on, I guess another reason I don’t like form fitting dress pants is my legs are kind of long, so I don’t want to look like I’m all legs LOL! Inseam on these are 24 1/2 inches, they are high-waisted and are fitted through the hips. These come in sizes XS-XXL and comes in 8 different colors!! These are a transition piece also!! I love the black blocked heel sandals I am wearing. If you stand a lot or just don’t do well with some heels, these are super cute and SUPER comfortable to wear. They don’t hurt your feet nor your back at all! These were around $20 from Amazon from City Classified. I am loving this brand and have purchased many of their shoes. I chose one of my favorite clutches to wear with this outfit. This is the circle clutch from JustFab and you can see it HERE. I wear many different sunglasses all year round and these are some of my favorites. I purchased these a while back from Amazon and absolutely LOVE them. They are aviator style and give you a high def view when wearing them. I have found as I get older I need a clear sunglass that helps my vision and these are some good ones, plus they are affordable!
