Mascara and Lashes

Good morning ladies! It has been a hectic week-month-year! I know I’m not the only one whose schedule is crazy, and for all of you that have Manic Monday going on every day- I salute YOU! I thought as I got older my life would settle down, kids are out of school, no more running around, no crazy schedules and agendas – yeah, that didn’t happen! I don’t know how we women do it, we stay on turbo charge!

I was emailing one of my followers tonight, (I love hearing from you girls!!) and as I was typing out my email, it hit me that I have never shared with you ladies what mascara I do use. Most of you know, I don’t wear it on a daily basis, but when we do pictures, I do use it and use false lashes sometimes. I’m almost 50 and I can tell that my lashes are not as thick and long as they used to be, so I really need something to grab on and stay. I rarely put mascara on my lower lashes, for the simple reason that I can’t see that well to do it (aging is for the birds lol). I usually have Raegan, that’s my daughter, put my mascara and lashes on for me when we are doing photos.

So what do I use?

I have tried so many mascaras it’s crazy! My eyes are super sensitive, so I have to make sure that whatever I pick out, it’s got to work for me. I do not like fiber mascara at all – I’m always feeling those little fibers fall off in my eyes and here we go with the rubbing! The best kind that I have tried, by far is Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara, it grabs on my little lashes and it doesn’t come off! I don’t have to keep swiping and putting layer on top of layer, I put on two coats and I’m done. It stays on till I take it off and the best thing is- it doesn’t flake off during the day. No fibers falling in my eyes anymore! This mascara actually won Best Waterproof Mascara at Ulta by ALLURE magazine! I’m not kidding girls, if you haven’t tried it, you should.

What about false eyelashes?

 I never even tried them till this year and let me tell you – OMG, I loved them! It absolutely changes your entire look. I do not wear them for every day, nor would I ever. But for date night, photo shoot, or a big event–oh yeah – love them, I swear they make you look younger. Well, more youthful and definitely have brighter and wider looking eyes. I picked out a partial lash, I didn’t want anything too long, too thick, or too much. I wanted my own lashes enhanced, so I got Urban Decay Fast Easy Sexy Partial False Lashes and boy they delivered! Another beauty blogger told me about these and suggested them to me, now let me tell you – they stay sold out because they are in high demand. I tried Urban Decay, Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s– you name it and they were sold out. I finally found them on Amazon, slightly higher than the department stores, but that was ok with me. I could actually apply these easily, stayed on, I had no trouble at all and these are the ones I go to when I need that extra something.

This post brings me to a new product that I have actually seen work on my friends, it’s the R+F Enhancements Lash Boost.
