Top Faves of The Week + Sunday Inspiration 11-8-20

It’s Sunday and November is getting off to a fast and furious start! Another week has wrapped up and I’m sharing the Top Faves from the blog and social media. Many of the things I shared last week were a huge hit with all of you! My analytics are down right now, so this is based on everything from last Saturday through Friday. I think we all agree that we love fashion, and we love a great deal! Sunday Inspiration is at the bottom of the post for those that like to read the devotionals I share. Happy Sunday ladies!

The Time and Tru Eyelash Gray Leopard (soft as a baby) sweater was the #1 seller and top fave of the week! Ladies…This is a must-have for your fall and winter wardrobe. Wear it with jeans, skirts, or add a tee underneath and style it with leggings. This also comes in a brown leopard print if gray is not your color of choice. It’s under $17 and fits TTS and is a looser fit. See it here.

This is definitely my favorite tunic from Belk that I have purchased recently. This tunic comes in several color options and is perfect to wear with leggings and tall boots for cooler days to come. This would also make a great Thanksgiving outfit; add a great necklace to pull it together for an outfit that is not only comfy, cut casual chic! This is on sale for only $32, use code ROCKTHEVOTE. See it here.

The most popular boot was the Faux Suede Tall Boots from Old Navy, these come in taupe and black with a 1-inch heel and wear great! These are comfortable for all-day wear and are 30% off right now, see them here.

I loved these trendy black boots and so did you girls! The Chandey Boot by The Limited is the perfect bootie tower with skirts, dresses, and cropped pants for a trendy look. These are $32 using code: ROCKTHEVOTE. See them here.

When I started styling the loungewear, I had no clue how popular it with be with everyone, but boy was it! Thank God, I am not the only one who loves to feel comfy lol! This set was insanely popular and it should be. This is made out of a thicker, sweater-like material and super soft. This can be worn inside and outside, and mix the sweater with jeans for another look. I’m wearing oatmeal, but it comes in gray also. This outfit goes fast, but it comes back in stock quick too. So keep a watch on it! See the sweater here, see the jogger here.

My favorite jammies were these cuties from Old Navy. I love the buffalo check and these come in multiple pattern options for the holidays. This is a thinner flannel, very comfortable to wear, and looks super cute with the slippers lol! These are 30% off this weekend, see all the sets here.

You girls really loved the Asher brown boho necklace that I styled quite a few times on the blog last week. It can be worn in multiple ways and makes an average everyday outfit pop. I tied mine in a knot to make it shorter, it’s certainly a versatile piece for only $12. This is a very popular necklace with women of all ages. So if you are thinking about a great gift for your daughter or daughter-in-law, add a pair of earrings or a bracelet, and this will make a cute gift that will be loved and used! See the Asher here.

The poncho that stole everyone’s heart is still rocking the Top 10! This is one of my favorite ponchos from Target! I styled this in several ways, and it continually keeps popping up as one of your faves! This simple poncho offers a casual chic look to jeans or leggings and makes a great Thanksgiving outfit. See the poncho here. This comes in a beautiful charcoal grey also.

This sweater has been on the top 10 since it first debuted! And why not? The color is fantabulous! I have this sweater in 3 colors, and it’s a bargain under $17. This comes in multiple color options and this color has restocked! Sweater fits TTS, is a great tunic that can be tucked in or not, see it here.

Tying at #10 is the Time and Tru snakeskin loafers. These are a bargain at a price point under $20 and these can easily be worn all day with comfort. (I’ve tested them out a lot, lol). See the snakeskin here. See the leopard print ats only $14 here.

Sunday Inspiration

As I scroll through social media this week, I have read where people are heavily burdened, looking for answers, some filled with joy, others hurting for trials and tribulations in their personal life. Life here on earth is but for a short time; rest easy in the peace of the Lord. I have told you about my oldest child and the drug problem, I have told you about losing a husband to cancer. But did you know I was stalked for years by an ex-boyfriend, I was married to an abusive husband, and at times, it seemed as if life couldn’t get any worse. It is in these dark days and sometimes years of my life that I learned to sit still. Let go and let God. I learned early in my life that I could not change how a person acted, they had to change independently. I learned I found strength and peace through prayer and leaning on God. I am sharing my devotional for today and I hope it encourages one of you today. Stay safe girls and thanks for stopping by the blog! XOXO

Often, living a peace-filled life comes down to a choice. Choosing to come to Him, choosing to set our minds on His Word, choosing to trust Him no matter what, choosing to pray in all that we face, choosing not to be anxious, choosing to believe that He’s always with us and in control, choosing to set our thoughts on those things that are true and right.

God reminds us in His word that peace will not naturally just come our way, He tells to “seek peace and pursue it,” Ps. 34:14.  Some may offer their own advice, “Get away for a few days, relax, be happy, take a vacation, tune out, just don’t think about stressful stuff.” But it’s only temporary relief in a crazy, struggling world. Vain attempts to cover desperate places of our souls with superficial, external fixes.

But the peace God offers is vastly different. It’s lasting. Confident. Real. Breathing deep reassurance in the midst of all that we face – past, present, or future. Rising up against the fear that would seek to choke our lives. Bringing comfort and freedom.

God’s words give strength, purpose, grace. They alone are what can bring inner calm to a whirlwind of crazy.

Your devotion today is so right on! Its our choice – the best way I have found to do this is to find out what the bible says about peace and joy not just one or two versus but to study all the bible has to say about peace and joy dig out the meaning of these words and over time it becomes part of you. Yes many days I have to remind my self that my feelings can be wrong and then direct my thoughts to be in line with Gods word. Renewing your mind to align with the word is a life long process but one that is so fruitful. Thanks for this reminder and for being so transparent with us.

Hey Kelly!! It’s getting there! Barry won’t let us do to much just yet. Christmas is not his favorite time of the year since Austin died. I can’t imagine how he is feeling, although Brooklyn brings a lot of joy. Have a great day girl❤️❤️❤️

    Good morning!
What is the brand name on the white tote you’re holding in the pic with the sweater from Belk and the white jeans?

    • Beverly

That purse was bought a few years back from Burke’s Outlet, not sure if the tag got torn off. The only name or wording inside the bag is Est 1946

Hope that helps! It is a cute bag. Have a great day Jeanne!

    Hi Beverly,

I love your style but find myself always clicking first on your Sunday Inspiration posts.

Thanks for being so open. It is easy for me – a brown immigrant who lived through an unstable childhood in multiple countries – to look at you, a very pretty middle class lady who is strong in her faith and is surrounded by beautiful things and think “this lady has had a beautiful life so it’s so easy for her to smile and think joyful thoughts.”

It is far more meaningful to hear that you smile in spite of difficulties, you praise God in spite of your own struggles.

I am not happy that you have had these challenges. I wish these things did not happen to you. But I have learned very recently that sometimes negative things happen to me and you and everyone else so that when we come up, we can provide testimony to people who are witnessing us and perhaps need a little lift of faith when they feel doubt.

Thank you for sharing. You put a lot of yourself out there but perhaps you not aware of how many people you have touched. Today, you have touched me.

Leave a Comment, I'd love to hear from you!
